  • I really like your custom figures. I was thinking about customizing some of my Iron man figures. What type of paint do you use, without it peeling off? Please Answer...

  • cool customs dude.

  • Man i wish these were on sale so I can bring home one the first was awesome

  • crazy

  • Ur custom figures are really neat! I've just this summer gotten into modding my action figures. Just today i dismantled my Mark II, Mark III, and Marvel Select Black Suited Spider-Man, took the parts from the Mark II and Black Spider-man bodies, put them together, added the Mark III head and BAM! I've got my own custom figure of Tony Stark's S.K.I.N. Suit! It's fully posable as well, thats why I used a spider-man figure for the torso. This is awsome!

  • WOW, your like the king of Iron man Customs

  • im finished with my titanium man but cant upload i tough.

i will write here when im finished!!!!!!

  • Huh it has been a very long while scince iv'e seen detail like that.

You must have steady hands and a lot of patience.

  • Thanks, check out my site for some much more gnarly customs

  • thanks you i'll try it

  • Hasbro can learn from this guy

  • how do u do that? and also do u take the toy apart like how is nothing painted wrong.

  • Nothing is painted wrong, cause I have been doing this for along time. You don't need to take a figure apart to do this... but some customs require it.. so if you need to.. the best way is to do a "boil and pop" ... just boil some water, dip the figure in for awhile (weather its the head or leg etc) and pop it off... give it a try. Painting in general just takes practice

  • omg i made i war machine (stealth operation suit) figure black and red almost like that one.

  • now am i working with my new beetle figure made out of iron monger. its actually pretty cool. and im soon finished with my titanium man made out of a spiderman series beetle thunderbolt figure.

  • how do you make toys

  • I dont make "make them" I Customize them... in the matter of Iron Man... They are usually professionally repainted, and have newly added parts, weather its more detail sculpted to an armor, or creating new weapons that integrate with the figure. Other times it can be a different character, for example.... Taking a Daredevil and making a deadpool would be simple. It can be this simple so be completely complicated... check out my website and start reading recipes.

  • Have you had any luck with selling your figures? I was wondering after all the effort in doing that, you would not get the money you would want for them, and if you really wanted to find a way to make money with them, maybe apply for a designers job with mattel, hasbro or toybiz? Just a thought. I have to say those companies have made some pretty bad design flaws over the years.

  • Yes, I make very good money with my customs, and I do it for a living, Im sure I make more than a commission wroker for hasbro does.. hehe.. The Iron men are mainly for fun and only pull in about 100 bucks a pop, but I dont depend on them for income, just advertising... My main body work can be seen at my website, thats where I make my living, not from these really

  • umm well they are cool i would pefer the regular versions better but good job

  • Thanks, and no prob... not all collectors are into customs. mainly just the ones who cant stand cheap factory paint jobs, and poeple looking to make there armory one of a kind

  • is the blue one mega man? lol.

  • looks like megaman on steroids.

  • the stealth armor without mask reminded me of Robocop :)

  • cool video nice job keep it up :)

  • AWSOME!

  • exellent, very good repaints sir.

  • how do people custom paint their figures? Ive been wondering.

  • Games workshop citadel paints are great for custom painting.

  • cool! I might try that!

  • Nice question.... First off... you want to prep your figure, by eashing it, and sanding joints... this prevents paint rub... After that you need some quality paints... I use Vallejo Game Color paints, I love them. Other than that, there is verious methods of shading and painting, learning those just takes trial and error, and alittle practice. Thanks for the comment BTW

  • thank you! ^_^

  • Its pretty easy. If you are familiar with Warhammer miniatures and modelling, you use the citadel paints - you can get some great detail when you 'dry brush' (virtually no paint on the brush gives a good worn look). These are water based paints so aren't designed to be played with vigorously otherwise paint will chip off.

  • Are you still selling them because if your are i would buy it

  • NEW ONES ARE UP ON EBAY

  • Pretty cool, dude !!

  • thats the funny thing with eyes (yes I do paint them) I dilute the paint (JUST A TAD) to avoid clumping, I use IMO the best paint there is, Vallejo game color. Check out the the "go shopping" section of my links page on my site for link on where to get it. And thanks for the comment ^_^

  • Those look amazing.

    Hey Kyle...

How do you paint eyes on 6 inch figures?

Also, what make of paints do you use for facial details?

You see, when I use my paints on eye detail they form such huge blobs.
