Personally, I like the host. He wasn't being a douche. He wasn't disrespecting the trick. It's just his personality to act like he does, and I don't find it remotely disagreeable.

Something I've noticed... Every time I see a self-proclaimed psychic do this trick, I think, "whatever, it's just a damn magic trick. What else is on?" But every time I see a magician/mentalist do it, I think, "Wow, that is so freaking cool, how the hell did they do that? I HAVE TO KNOW!!!"

The forks are probably made of two different metals which, when heated, expand at different amounts causing it to bend. But, I can't explain when he made the tongs bend just by shaking them and no heat.
Unless the tongs were individually heated beforehand, then forcebly moved back into proper position, then as it cooled it bent. Wiggling it helped cool it faster and also creates a false assumption that the wiggling is somehow resonpsible when it's really the wind from the wiggling that cools it.
Love Bancheks work. Wanna say though, what chat show is this, and how ON EARTH did the presenter get a job...he's truely bad at being a chat show host. Make me appreciate our Jonathan 'Woss' Ross even more...

@jesuswuzahippy There is no set up for this trick (with the exception of one particular bend). It is just technique and sleight of hand. These kinds of performances are well worth spending money on, because all that is required to perform is practice, forks, and your hands. Very practical.
This guy just preformed at my school today, he was great, and I had to help him with a few tricks, such as the forks i had to choose, and his mind reader book trick. It was amazing!!! Great preformer.

hum...but in this video ... it IS done with trickery ... he even says it in the beginning ... and it is done with normal silverware as well ... thats only the name of the DVD ("psychokinetic silverware")
