  • Hey christopherjay108 - quit with the "blame America first crap". Before al-Qaida, SADDAM was in Iraq, you idiot!!! He WAS a terrorist, and he paid terrorists and gave them comfort there!!!

  • Al-Qaeda is the CIA Arab legion. It was founded by Robert Gates the current defense secretary. Would you open your eyes and stop allowing yourself to be deceived. All these wars, the war on terror, they are all farces. Iraq is about oil to keep industrial progressing countries like China and India from getting the oil and possibly moving past the US as a super power. Afghanistan is about opium. That's right our troops guard the poppies. Every US death over there is all over smack!

  • It's very simple Obama was wrong McCain was right.

Following Obama would have led to defeat.

Following McCain has lead to victory.

The choice is simple. Honor, Experiance & country first. Vote McCain - Palin!

  • Lieberman? Ughh! I heard he was on the Board of Vets for Freedom and I thought: he never served - it must be 'veterinarians for freedom'.

Sorry, dudes: I'm from CT and anything to do with Traitor Joe doesn't flush with me.

Maybe you guys should ask McCain why didn't support better benefits for vets and their families??? And why he supports torture???

  • Maybe you ought to ask the several GI's and other none combatants that met with the Tali-bans brand of torture. No body died to my knowledge in US custody.

  • ??? Again: you guys need to ask John McCain why a former POW like him would now support torture - and why he voted against the bill that provides real benefits for vets (something he now claims credit for: even though he voted against it).

  • It's your views on the subject that makes you post what you did. The use of torture (water boarding) was used once, on two individuals at Git-mo, with results. Vietnam was another story. But that was fourty three years ago. McCain is a military man. He knows what needs to be done.

  • Source??? Renditions may have taken place all over the world, for all we know: at least you're not trying to hide the fact that McCain/Bush are the same on the torture issue (as they are on the vet benefit issue). Actually, there is next to NO DIFFERENCE whatsoever between McCain and Bush (so much for being a maverick!) McCain=Bush

  • Just what are you using for a source, to come to your conclusions ? If your using the press, then your wrong on your assumptions.

  • The Congressional Record, actually.

McCain grandstanded his POW status, announced his opposition to the torture bill and then marched into the Senate and performed an Olympic level flip-flop!

  • Check this video. Charles Duelfer WMD Iraq

And Saddam Iraq WMD sada Syria

And Saddams wmd based on captured Iraqi documents

I spent some time looking and weeding through the bs. There's much more if you care to look.

  • Sorry but Fox News is not really a source that doesn't have an axe to grind: they are always pushing the right-wing agenda and are anything but "fair and balanced"

try looking at this one youtube . com /watch?v=ZdlUi8-9TMU

    from Bush's own pie-hole

  • Belive what you want. WMDs were there. There were used in the war with Iran. They were used on his own people. There is documentation that the allies expirenced chemical symptoms in Desert Storm.

Just because of your own bias against Fox News, doesn't make the report untrue.

  • Fox News has the bias, not me: they are biased against the truth. If you don't believe what George W Bush said in the video I linked to, then I don't know what to tell you - you are beyond reason and I don't have the skills to deal with unreasonable people. Have a good day!

  • Sorry that your not up to listening, to anything but your own liberal side. I live in the US where much news is bias to the left. But there are those who tell the truth. All you have to do is look for it.

  • I wish I could live in a great country like the US where all opinions could be heard but I live in the USA where there is only a myth of a "liberal media": here, I have heard of such a thing but never actually seen or heard it. In my country, the media was complicit in the run up to the illegal invasion of Iraq, who posed no threat to us. Your Fox News actually dubbed in heroic music to the sight of us bombing Baghdad: smelled like Nazi Germany to me!

  • Where is it that you heard the was is illegal ? I can bet you won't find one credible source. Note: Any US politician or news agentcy don't count,

  • Get it through your head. There were no WMD's. The weapons Saddam used on Iran and his own people were not WMD's. First the US gave him those weapons. Second, when he used those weapons it took many many canisters to poison something the size of one city block. The weapons Bush said Saddam had were nuclear, chemical weapons big enough to poison tens of city blocks with just one hit, and possibly UAV's that could spray the stuff over cities. None of those existed and Bush knew it!

  • Auggie56, why don't you read the NIE, also known as "the white paper", that Bush got on Oct. 1, 2002. In it 16 different US intelligence agencies conclude that Saddam was not an imminent threat to the US. Congress was given an edited down version of this NIE before voting to authorize force. All the facts that proved Bush wrong were deleted. I agree with french4clouds. Fox News is not a source.

  • ciccone39 Unless you have some inside information, what you say here holds no water with me, or anyone else who has done some research. Documents do lie. There are others who are saying the was WMD's. Now, go try and get over your self.

  • Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld to name a few all admitted there were no WMD's. If you want to believe there were for whatever reason go ahead. Making excuses only makes yourself feel better but doesn't solve anything in the end.

  • You know as well as I do that Iraq repeatedly violated UN sanctions. There was that large quantity of yellow cake, that was sold to Canada last year, from stocks of the former regime. Who knows what the truth is. I'm glad it's over as the world has one less blood thirsty dictator.

  • The terrorists don't support fair treatment, so why should we not torture a known terrorist if they have information that can save lives (military or civilian)?

  • I guess for the same reason that when we (Cheney) shoot a "known" duck (Whitington), sometimes, we get it wrong: we are the good guys (or we used to be the good guys). I'm glad no one here is claiming McCain doesn't support torture: can we agree Bush LIED to get us into Iraq? THAT would be real progress!

  • Look up the video, of the weapons inspector who gave a speech on Saddam and WMDs. Saddam told the man who was his liaison, to the US that he sent his WMD technology to Sierra, prior to the invasion. The Canadians just finished transporting a large amount of Yellow Cake, that they purchase from Iraq's nuke weapons program.

Al qaeda is also documented to have been in Iraq, and taken money, to fund their operations, from Iraq. So your statement about lies are false.

  • Here Here !

  • Freedom before peace, my vet bros.

  • hhhhmmmm.....

  • excellent video love it

  • AWESOME AD!!

  • Youngsoldoutman Bush is shit and Mccain his toilet paper. You are an enabler of the worst administration EVER for military personal and their families. McCain voted against the GI Bill, Bush vetoed the limit on redeployments brought by a real military man senator Webb. Chickenhawks always prorepublican even against the troops!!!

  • Obama was right from the begining. Now the Iraquis are proving it again. There is going to a timetable and it is not a 100 years, like McCain wanted. On the other hand he may invade Iran or attack Russia over whateveritis Georgia. Let's elect McCain who didn't even vote for the GI Bill. Hypocrisy is the Republican motto

  • mccain wanted to keep bases after we left after 100 years talk to us when u take things in context

btw reps have always said theyll leave when iraqis want to and now a 2010/2011 withdrawl is being setup by PRESIDENT BUSH, hypocrisy or have u always been blinded by the right's position on the war. oh wait i forgot were nothing but neo-con warmongerers right? lol

  • mccain wanted to keep bases after we left and keep them there for 100 years*

  • How would you feel if foreign military bases were put up in the states, or Russian bases in Cuba? You dont get it, people, you included, do not like hypocrisy... its that simple.

  • they have every right to have bases their even though we see them as enemies

    like assuming much ;-)

  • We're still in Germany and Korea, yet the war has been done for over 60 years. 100 years isn't that far off...

  • In Germany were part of NATO. We lease basis there to preserve the peace. And as a deterrent to the Russians invaded Europe.

The Korean war has never ended. It's just a truce. If we left there, the North would invade.

The US has never entered a counrty and stayed as an occupieing force. Subjugating the population. Like the Soviets did in Poland and other countries.

    When it's over we leave.

  • Obama put forward the idea of a time table, Bush/Cheney/McCain refused. Now its accepted for discussion.

Problem for Bush/Cheney is that they confirmed the cost of the war to be less than $100 billion, that it would keep oil below $30/barrel and be over in under a year.

Cost is now over $3 trillion and oil is over $100, and has gone on longer than WW2. If the U.S. was awake they would do to these guys what happened to Mussolini.

  • Actually, the U.S. wanted to stay until 2015, but the IRAQIS decided otherwise...2010. We compromised and said 2011.

Looks to me like the Iraqis are the ones deciding, not the U.S.

  • exactly we've allowed the iraqis to tell us when to stay and for dems to run around saying we want to stay and they want us to leave is ridicilous. but my point is even now w/ them being proved wrong and the war won theyre finding an excuse against a war that we've won. thats incredible!

  • Oh I agree...it's insane.

Trust the judgement of the commanders on the ground who are there as well as the Iraqis who are now earning more and more control of their country.

  • i agree

its like hey u guyswere wrong won!

and still people find a way to whine over it

  • Come people don't be stupid. The Gen who called for more troops early in the war was fired. If it had been done then maybe more lives could have been saved. Flooding one city can not save a whole country. Let's surge in Georgia and defeat the Russians?

    US Air Force Retired.

  • The Gen was fired for questioning the logic of attacking Iran.

  • actually that general has even admitted attacking iran is not an option by the president get ur facts straight bud

illegal invasion? congress approved it, nothing illegal about it

they hate freedom? damn then what were those millions who turned out to vote all about? ;-)

ur german w/ all due respect ur not voting so we dont give a damn what u think ie: obama losing in the polls in the us

and lastly were out by 2010/2011, get used to it we proved europe wrong ;-)

  • Apologies for not being German, having a passport, using it and registered to vote in November.

Obama is not even close to losing in the polls, but things might yet change, lets wait for the results.

just because your dad says you can go into ur neighbors house and rob it doesnt make it right. Check with the law 1st, in this case international. Mistakes do happed, yes, so we have yet to see if Bush lied to Congress, watch this space.

Whats ur reason for not invading other dictatorships?

  • screw just progress, this surge has WON the war!

  • cool, can we go now?

  • THANKS!

GOD BLESS, America, Our Allies & OUR TROOPS!

McCain,08" Keep America, FREE & STRONG!

  • God bless our military and allies!

  • I pray for your military, but your leaders are to blame for an illegal invasion.

  • There's an opportunity here. Take the Obama slogan ("Yes we can") and instead make it our own with YES WE DID!!!

  • Thank you for your service, Soldiers. It is because of your sacrifice that I am able to type these words at this momnet!

  • Surge worked! Great job to all who serve! God Bless and thank you!

  • God Bless all of you who serve and who have served. You are my Hero's! You are the best of the best of us. Thank You For Your Service!

  • Sorry guys but you are totally ignorant. I grew up under Apartheid South Africa saying the same thing, only they called it a State of Emergency. It went on for 8 years, telling all that all was A.O.K before they gave up and went into real negotiations with the 'enemy'. After 4 years of ceasefire & negotiations we had our free and fair elections.

Thats what it takes, negotiations and a ceasefire, not a surge, political solution not a military one.

    Learn from history.

  • history shows politicization does nothing

im sorry my friend but your dead wrong

al-queida didn't want to talk to us diplomatically. they attacked us

ceasefires are broken all the time in the middle east, by the Taliban, Lebanon, Hezbollah and others. talking does nothing ACTION does everything. FREE IRAQ and GOD BLESS THE MEN WHO DID IT

  • The U.S. is politicised, since the war of independance so what do you mean by this & what is your reference.

    "history shows politicization does nothing"

You are not balanced. Yes ceasefires are broken but by both sides, by Israel too. The U.S. is saying Russia cant invade Georgia, what about Iraq.

Al Queda had nothing to do with Iraq before the U.S. illegally invaded.

Free Iraq? how about China, Saudi Arabia, N Korea, Myanmar, Darfur, Iran? You believe your own propaganda, they hate freedom!

  • propaganda?

1.the U.S. fought for its independence. we tried talking with the British instead they murdered U.S. diplomats so we took it by Force

2.where are these broken cease fires Israel caused? i would like to see them please.

    3. the U.S. did not illegally invade Iraq

Saddam did have chemical weapons he did not have WMDs chemical weapons are technically just as bad though, Since 2003 coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded sarin nerve agent.

  • Hussein was a bad man, but there are many out there. But one country cannot invade another country without reason, and there is no legal reason yet given by the U.S. for the invasion. Its all we thought, well that does not stand up in any court in any democracy.

  • the legal reason was fear of wdms and congress allowed the war to happen, thus IT IS NOT ILEGAL

obama aint close to losing in the polls? hes lost 15 points in 1 month and gone from a modest big lead to being down 2 in the stricktess of polls

oil is up based on fear of low oil supply not the war (shakes head at ur ignorance)

bush has always told the iraqis theyll leave when they let them, timetable by obama? my ass

and again ur german why care what u think of our country? we dont

  • yes your right on some aspects

if Russia was threatening nuclear warfare with the U.S. do you just think we would say lets talk this over? no, Saddam was gassing people we don't need legal documents to stop him we still have dead bodies, Russia has nothing on Georgia but false claims.

either way barack won't win now, he is too much of an idiot to realize the guy he picked for his running mate will screw him over the second he gets the chance

  • al-queida was NOT in Iraq to begin with: the whole Iraq misadventure was a deflection from the real war against them in Afghanistan, Pakistan and the horn of Africa.

PS--being opposed to a misguided war policy does NOT translate to opposing our troops.

Sincerely, A Doctor Caring For Our Veterans Daily

  • The Iraq war is about many things

many of which i am sure you will deny like,

    1. Freedom for Iraq

    2. Keeping their enemy's at bay for a wile

    3. Stopping Saddam

    4. Finishing what he started

personally i feel now that the situation in Iraq is going good we should transfer roughly 50,000 troops to the war in Afghanistan and tighten borders there, and use more SF units to raid the border of Pakistan instead of loud vehicles and Missiles too strong.

    From a future Marine

    God Bless

    - Nate

  • Nate,

You forgot about how Bush tried many times to link Iraq to 9/11 which was another lie in the end. Read some of my other responses on here to find out what the war is really about. Also read PNAC's Rebuilding America's Defenses. Your neo-con hero's had this planned all along. It has nothing to do with the lies you believe. Just so you know, and beware, the military right now is trying to indoctrinate the troops that carrying out martial law and shooting Americans is a matter of honor.

  • Cone,

You seem to forget i wrote that a year ago. On top of it almost exactly as i predicted the Generals requested a 60,000 troop surge & requested more free use of Special Forces to finish these wars.

Obama gave them half of what they requested. Ignored the suggestions of the troops on the ground and has put the lives of our boys at stake by pissing around when it was time to make a decision.

With all due respect. Fuck you. I have no time for conspiracy theorists. Reply when you wake up.

  • I've been awake for years. Just remember if you get sent to Afghanistan you'll be guarding the poppy fields. That's right, you'll be guarding the smack that the CIA then traffics so they can launder the money to fund their black ops. That's what the war is about. Al-Qaeda is the Arab legion of the CIA. If you would wake up and do some research you'd not only see that's true but also Robert Gates founded Al-Qaeda and Zbigniew Brzezinski helped create the Taliban.

  • .....Wow you are a loony toon.

Your probably going to freak when you read this and i find it slightly ironic....

Due to the new administration i felt it smarter to postpone my deployment. I went to school & will receive a degree as a Forensic specialist. On top of that i am applying at 2 businesses and have already spoken with my employers who both are excited i have a driven personality.

Those locations are the Central Intelligence Agency and Miami Police Department.

  • Ha ha, ironic is right. CIA+Miami=Drugs. Remember there are two CIA's. There's the one that traffics drugs, kidnaps, tortures etc. Then there's the one that gathers honest actual intelligence to prepare and present to those who need the info. I hope that's the one you work for or are applying to work for. Take care.

  • @ciccone39

    The ironic part was.....never mind...

You take care as well. See a psychiatrist and get a medication.

  • Me again. Do to recent events i bet you now believe we have to run everyone through naked body scanners due to the turban-headed boogeymen you probably believe hate us for our freedoms. Your prejudice towards Islam is ignorance. Wake up and realize those recent events are being exploited to expand the US police state that you probably believe is freedom.

  • @ciccone39

Figures, I find it funny how you just keep coming back hoping that i will be some kind of stereotype you have in your head haha.

I like the way Israeli security systems at Air Ports work, They profile but its all based on your reaction rather than your nationality/religion.

If you sweat, studder, act afraid, break eye contact or do strange things you are subject to questioning.

Because of that they have short lines, fast service & safe Air Ports.

    Seriously, Your an idiot haha.

  • All those measures are not for safety. They are sold through fear tactics and used to get people to submit because government wants to control us with this every growing police state people are to blind to see. They're control freaks. I'm sick of all you stupid fake conservatives telling me to give up all of my rights or some turban-headed boogeyman is going to get me. Like I've said before those turban-headed boogeymen are a bunch of opium running mafia dons. Seriously, you need to wake up.

  • @ciccone39

Admit it, Your a leftist because there is no way your conservative.

You need to wake up & realize what your saying applies to the LEFT.

Its kind of hard to say they are just "opium running mafia dons" When they are slamming planes into buildings & have committed Genocide in Asia, Africa & Europe.

You vastly underestimate your enemy so why don't you go try to ask them to stop fighting with us ok Mr. Democrat ;]

  • Sorry, no leftist here. If anything I'm actually Libertarian leaning. Democrats are on the same side as the Republicans because there's no difference between the two. All they do is chose different words. The Federal Reserve is destroying our country. As far as the opium, the Taliban for awhile was actually arresting the growers. The US then would release the growers and go after the Taliban. We're told different however in the US. However you'll probably just call it a conspiracy and me crazy.

  • @ciccone39

By the way, The measures Israel has implemented have increased freedoms & efficiency.

Shorter lines, safer Air Ports & Ben Gurion International Air Port has the results to prove they are the safest & most efficient.

They have never had a plane hijacked & people are not profiled by skin color but rather reaction. Guards are posted at the main doors & are ordered to say hello to everyone & ask "Why are you here today sir/mam?".

Simple measures that your against & they save lives.

  • It's called giving up liberty for security and guilty until proven innocent. You contradicted yourself. Increased security does not increase freedom. That's Orwellian doublethink. You don't gain anything when you give up any liberty, all you do is loose what you gave up and give government more power to be intrusive without warrant because they are control freaks. Like Jabba The Hut, "Your reverse psychology won't work on me boy".

  • @ciccone39

Christ you post allot. I haven't been on for a bit only to find a million comments on here.

Free market trade, Defensive & offensive built military, Vast freedoms including everything from gay rights too total freedom of speech.

That is what i believe in. On the other hand you seem to enjoy

Small military, Freedom of speech for yourself(excluding others), & a well rounded hate for the U.S. acknowledging her faults without her bright sides :]

haha, Care to bitch some more?

  • I love freedom! I love Liberty! I hate tyranny! Tyranny that our government has given us. I don't hate the US and what it stands for with we the people. What i hate is how our government always lies to us. We the people need to take our country back. Believe it or not I'll stick up for your freedom of speech to the fullest no matter how much we differ on other issues.

  • @FightTheGoodFightUSA Why can't you just wake up and see that the US is being turned into a surveillance society police state? Seriously. Our government telling us to protect freedom we have to give up freedom? Surveillance camera's going up everywhere. This is what our military is being tricked into fighting for and being indoctrinated that this is really freedom. I'm no leftist by the way. I'm one pissed off American who hates this tyranny. Wake up!

  • @ciccone39

Dear god. Why can't you just wake up & see?

No one here, including myself sees you as anything more than a crazy nut spouting off crap on my videos. Just go away & pray to Obama or something.

  • @FightTheGoodFightUSA Why the hell can't you just understand I'm no Obama leftist. You resort to that more than old cop-out simply because I have a different view. Just stop being in denial and look what's going on. Public surveillance cameras everywhere to spy on us. Fake conservatives believing giving up liberty for security is freedom. Warrants not needed anymore. All of this is continued by Obama. This is not freedom. It's not for terrorists it's for us the American people. Wake up!

  • If you really want to make things safer. America needs to change its foreign policy and get the hell out of the Middle East and simply mind it's own business. But no you probably side with idiots like Giuliani and believe those Arabs attack us because they hate us for our freedoms. You probably also agree with Giuliani's quote that "Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do".

  • The iraquis want us to leave, lets get outta there!!

    That was Obama's plan altogether

  • We are. The U.S. and Iraq are signing a deal for us to leave and it can be sone now that Iraq is secure and able to govern itself.... no thanks to thsoe who urged defeat a couple years ago.

  • Surge worked! Let's leave Iraq now.

When can we leave without Iraq exploding as a result? Answer me that, and I'll reconsider my position.

  • Not only did progressives not support them but are now trying to steel away their apparent victory for political purposes. How anti-American, how anti-Military, how despicable it is to disregard and twist upon what these courageous men & women have accomplished. Thank you & great job to all that served & still do in Iraq.

  • Typo-steal

  • To a point I agree. Many Dems are trying to credit their attempt to force a defeat in Iraq with Pres. Bush finally authorizing a surge in Iraq. In fact, that defeat was imminent attitude certainly played a part in the Dem victory in 2006... except the Iraq people and our troops didn't lose. Barack Obama takes an even more bizarre stance. He FINALLY said the surge worked but still says he'd vote against it. I am very grateful for group like VfF who keep us informed on the situation.

  • Thanks for the reply. I don't buy the argument Dems (progressive i.e liberals) forced the surge to happen. Their anti-war rhetoric should be taken at face value & not be seen as the catalyst for the surge they're now trying to portray. They've even discounted the Anbar awakening as a pre-surge event that would've spread "without" the help of our military. Outside the wire tells a different story narrated by the "actual people" who made it happen - watch?v=GC_p7RuEZ8U&feature=related

  • Sorry if my comment came across as a defense of those in this country (Defeatocrats) who did their best to ensure a defeat for our forces in Iraq as that wasn't my intent. I was merely specifiyng their lame attempt to take some credit for it is all. McCain deserves much credit for taking a stand for the surge early on when it was needed though he has history a bit turned around as he thinks the surge caused the Anbar Awakening instead of spread something that was already happening in ANbar.

  • We both may've missed something here. My intention was only to remove any ambiguity on who deserves credit for the "success" of the surge. First off, the soldiers deserve 99% of it. 2nd) those who never "gave up" on them.

  • Yeah, the soldiers deserve so much credit for this and I'd add the Iraqis who stepped up also deserve their share of the credit. If you've ever read Michael Yon's book, "Moment of Truth in Iraq" he points out that for all the money we've spent to keep our troops safe from IED/EFP attacks, as it turns out the most effective defense against those is an Iraqi with a cell phone of all things.

  • I agree the Iraqi's had to come to their own conclusion the best way for their future. I give credit to our military for interacting with the population & "proving" they're there with the Iraqi peoples best interests to their future as their mission. I'm familiar with Michael Yon's work but have not read his book -- yet.

  • After watching Outside the wire, all one needs to do is ask themselves -- Who would the Sheiks & Iraqi people have asked for & gotten help from, if our military force wasn't still there?

  • No One. AQI would've killed them and those who managed to survive that would've been killed in the crossfire when Iran and Saudi Arabia stepped in to "secure" the situation.

  • God bless America, and support our troops in their worthy and noble mission in the Mideast!
