@TheXICONLON Wow. It's amazing that people would actually hire inarticulate and illiterate fools to play in something as respected as Les (yes Les with a s) Mis
@TheXICONLON which company do you perform with? and who do you play? I think its disgraceful that you would put a fellow performer down, its obviously not a huge production, and the idea that its hard to tell if its a girl or boy is the whole point isn't it? she plays the part well. The fact that you call it "le mis" points to the fact that you don't perform in Les Mis at all.
@akaAlexthekid I would feel inclined to feel offended by that person's remark, but I have no idea what they're talking about, lol. This was recorded more than 2 years ago when I performed with a company called kidsActing studio in Austin, Tx.
@jumpstart5678 Yes, he dies later in the play. This is the endearing song meant to make you love him before they shoot him down at the barricades. XD He's the first to die.
Out of all the videos I've seen of this song, this one has to be my favorite one. I love the singing, the choreography, and, well, just everything! Great Job!
I'm going to assume from the video info that you are actually a girl. In which case may I ask why they had a girl play the part of a little boy? Haha good job though, they accent was great! How old are you?
Yes, I am a girl. Gavroche is often played by a girl, especially if she looks younger and androgynous, just because it's hard to find a 12 year old boy with a very strong voice and the talent/motivation to act. Also, an older girl's voice resembles a prepubescent boy's more closely than an older boy's. At the time I was 17, and I'm now 18.
Me too, until I realized that nobody on earth would know what a lower-class French accent would sound like so it's pointless to try. The cockney gets the point across better than a lame American accent anyhow.
This is good.

@Scrumdiddly42 I guess you can also count the corpses that Gavroche took the bullets from.

Wonderful job, you did very well. But, just out of curiosity, why are you using a cockney accent? The show is set in France, not England
petdoctor3000 1 year ago
@petdoctor3000 Haha yes I know, but can you do a lower class French accent? =P

I never understood why everyone has a British Accent in a play that takes place in France...:/
