The reason that it doesn't look like all the troops are present is because the Spartans, being master tacticians, fought the Persians at a choke point (Thermopylae.) That way they could hold the line. As for written documents, the Athenian forces supporting the Spartans DID have written records, and there were in fact about 300 Spartan soldiers that held the line against almost the entirety of the Persian army.
Biggest mistake here is the fact that Spartans from Greece are in a Viking song about going to Valhalla and Spartans were good soldiers yes but they fought 18inch long daggers where the Vikings fought with a real weapon called a long sword which was 36inches long of pure iron the Greeks fought with bronze and Vikings were the tallest people on earth during their time the average Viking stood 5'11

I aggree. Valhalla was a place where the ancient Germans and the Scandinavians would go according their religion if they died fighting bravelly in a battle. We -The Greeks- would go to Hades, to the Elysium. However the two religions have many simillarities..
m8,i'm greek too(i write in engl because we are not alone here ;) ) one little mistake,in ancien Hellas,Hades was like Hell,and Elyssium was like Heaven.both belong to the "Underworld",and the god was Plouto,not Hades(Hades is a place,not a god).
Ok I just forgot to mention that Hades is a place too and not a god as the others believe.. But I mentioned both places because the Elyssium was a place were heroes and virtuous people would go. The rest would join the other souls in the river of Oblivion in Hades. The same was in Viking mythology. The brave would go to Valhalla and the rest to Hell to the frozen Underworld(Hell was the name of a Goddess). I just wanted to show the simmilarities and that's why I mentioned both Hades&Elyssium.

the life of a Spartan was completely dedicated to warfare. From age 7 they were training, hardened, even tortured in order to be prepared for battle, They even killed their own in training in order prepare for batte (including murdering someone). Difficult to see even how the apache could match that.

I aggree. Valhalla was a place where the ancient Germans and the Scandinavians would go according their religion if they died fighting bravelly in a battle. We -The Greeks- would go to Hades, to the Elysium. However the two religions have many simillarities..

Ok I just forgot to mention that Hades is a place too and not a god as the others believe.. But I mentioned both places because the Elyssium was a place were heroes and virtuous people would go. The rest would join the other souls in the river of Oblivion in Hades. The same was in Viking mythology. The brave would go to Valhalla and the rest to Hell to the frozen Underworld(Hell was the name of a Goddess). I just wanted to show the simmilarities and that's why I mentioned both Hades&Elyssium.
