After Testament's first album they went downhill. Started out as just watered-down/radio thrash, evolving (or, rather devovling) into a groove-thrash hybrid, and then finally, to a shitty groove metal band.
Seeing the trend here? Groove metal is just shitty, simplisitc tripe. Bands turns to it when they're lazy and want a quick buck. It sucks. Simple.

@AIC2374 If you actually listened to their stuff, you'd realize the only glam thing they had going on was the look. Motley Crue's early stuff is more Glam than Pantera's first four albums and everyone knows Too Fast For Love is good. Pantera was one of those bands, along with W.A.S.P and Skid Row, that got tossed into the glam scene despite playing heavier music than most glam bands.
First four Pantera albums = best. After that, Groovetera kicks in and sucks up the joint.

@AIC2374 Panter was good until Power Metal. After that, they turned into a shitty, simple groove metal band for poseurs.
After Testament's first album they went downhill. Started out as just watered-down/radio thrash, evolving (or, rather devovling) into a groove-thrash hybrid, and then finally, to a shitty groove metal band.
Seeing the trend here? Groove metal is just shitty, simplisitc tripe. Bands turns to it when they're lazy and want a quick buck. It sucks. Simple.

@AIC2374 If you actually listened to their stuff, you'd realize the only glam thing they had going on was the look. Motley Crue's early stuff is more Glam than Pantera's first four albums and everyone knows Too Fast For Love is good. Pantera was one of those bands, along with W.A.S.P and Skid Row, that got tossed into the glam scene despite playing heavier music than most glam bands.
First four Pantera albums = best. After that, Groovetera kicks in and sucks up the joint.

Sepultura started sucking when they became a more groove metal-orientated band. Exodus started sucking when they became groovey. Groove Metal sucks. Everyone knows it.

@ThazuaBlackarrow vio-lence is not that different from Kreator, Sodom, Nuclear Assault, Annihilator, any thrash (not to say THOSE bnds sound like each other) but Vio-lence, ask anybody, is 10x's more generic than lamb of god.
Lamb of God's vocals is their only weakness, besides that, they're good.
They have veeeery very recognizable riffs, thats what they're known for, they're heavy (not in a hardcore metalcore way), some-what techinical drumming, Adler's pretty good, and im out of space

Vio-Lence.. similar to Death/thrash and black/thrash? Wat? That's like saying Metallica is similar to Bathory. Ask anybody, and they'd recommend Eternal Nightmare as a must-have Thrash album. Ask anybody and they'd lol at you for even thinking Lamb of God or Groovetera are good, as my friends and I have been doing every time you respond.
The only good Groove band I've ever heard was Exhorder, end of story. Debut - Power Metal > Groovetera.

@AIC2374 Death/thrash and Black/thrash are genres. Combination of Death and Thrash, or Black and Thrash. Sodom is Black/thrash, and Kreator is Death/thrash.
Anyone worth their stuff and knew it as well would laugh at you if you seriously asked if Pantera was good or not
And simple. Exhorder play it good. Sepultura and Machine Head simply do not. Sepultura downgraded GREATLY from the death/thrash days to their shitty groove releases.
It would have been better if Gale got Phil instead.
