there is some differences. here, Golbez did a better job but he's not as gravelly as DS version, so it sounds like he's not wearing a helmet (Exdeath and Garland sound the same way... they think if they wear a helmet, all they have to do is make their voice deep) Cecil doesn't sound as good as the DS game but after playing Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Im not going to complain

I didn't know that I thought the voices were a bit Corny in FF4 ds (which i do have a copy of) But maybe it was just a bad recording or something, but in this the voices are quite good.

@stromgradeadjl Actually Golbez wasn't really a villian he was mind controlled by Zemus in FFIV/FF2 (for the SNES it was released as 2 when it was suppose to be 4 in the U.S.) Kefka had a more demented personality, I liked Kefka the best myself.

@stromgradeadjl Well he didn't really die, he was put into a sleep like status from what I understood. Or rather what Fusuya described. Though you still don't see him again after, it was kinda like a death. I personally liked 4's story the best myself, to me, Cecil > Cloud, but that's my own personal opinion that I think fanboys will jump all over possibly.

@KetsuRosataMalnor What I was talking about is a scene in the FFIV: The After Years. There comes a time in the story where they encounter (again) the Dark Knight self of Cecil. If you have Cecil and Golbez in the party, Golbez blocks a supposed killing blow (aimed for Cecil) and dies, but he'll survive if you have Kain, Rosa and Ceodore with you. I prefer IV and Cecil over VII and Cloud too. VII's too overated IMO but it's still good. It all leads to the matter of what people prefer.

@stromgradeadjl Yeah The after years was a sneaky release for purchable downloadable content of a game, I hadn't heard about it actually until like 2 days after I made that comment. And I saw the scene, it was interesting. Golbez looks waaaay different in the after years as well...

@KetsuRosataMalnor I know. I don't think it's too known as of yet. But it's definitely something I'd get interested about. From what I know, it was (I think though I'm not sure) available first on the Wii (with classic graphics for some reason, but I'm not complaining. Kinda nostalgic even). An upcoming collection of FFIV on the PSP is gonna include it along with the original, and a mini story bridging the gap between the two. I prefer Golbez's design in the original way more than in AY.
