Why should I change? I've had 4 years of french emersion. I don't see the french learning english and besides its stupid for this country to be bilingual for only the 2 million+ people who speak french only.

Why learn French? It's the second largest language in the country, Canada was born French, French Canadian culture is a thing Canadians might be proud of (Montreal the second largest French speaking city in the world!), Ottawa lies on the language border.

That is enough why to learn French, as a Canadian IMO.

The french are doing a good enough job of that already. Actually, Canada was DISCOVERED by Norwegians (my ancestry) but in terms of the country you are correct.
