@thehigorjardim Apparently you don't know your history, so let me help you: Ministry released Thieves on their album "The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste" in 1989. Limp Bizkit (another band I enjoy) simply redid the song in the late 90s, performed it at Woodstock 99 (& some other concerts) & repeatedly told the audience to "Get da fuck up!"
Even though both versions kick ass, Ministry dominates Limp Bizkit!
@Yogimeisters The chain fences originated from The Mind is a terrible taste tour, but before that album on the land of rape and honey tour they had barbed wire fences. If you watch the documentary that the live DVD Adios... Puta Madres came with, Al talks about on the Ministry forums that the fans wanted the fences because they remember them from The Mind tour. Al stated it as a Nostalgic thing to do.
I don't know... but I think the guys like Andrew Jackson, John Adams, George Washington, etc would really dig these guys if they were alive today. Yeah I know I have alot of time on my hands lol.
You can say what you want about ministry but two things but two things are absolutely true: 1 thieves is the perfect live song and 2 Al Jourgensen has the live presence of a muppet.
To be honest with you, I really think that at this venue, they could have done a "pass" on the chainlink fence barriers onstage.
Just sort of went with an open roaming presence onstage.
The barriers are great for an up close crowd gig, but with the number of security guards present (at the crowd level), the ten foot plus space between the crowd and the first tier of the dolly cam stage, and finally the two meter width of the dolly stage, before one could even conceive of performing a
stage dive off of the main stage platform (into the arms / bodies of whom below?), the chainlink fence takes away from the potential of better shots from the dolly cam, and for what it's worth, sort of obscures the view of the band from the audience.
However, I would have LOVED to see someone run the gauntlet of obstacles that I described above to perform a hardcore stagedive (ala Ministry's "In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up" video circa 1989 gigs).
What a fucking weak Mosh pit in this concert. I remember the pit in Lollapolooza being INSANE!!!! Hell the pit at the Kitchen Club and Red Room were more intense than this weak showing.
Ministry is the sickest show!!!! Alain is a genius.
@DJMetafour STFU with your gay mosh pit. Moshing is for homos who want to brush up against other men for hours. These people want to watch the show and hear the music, not act like a bunch of hyper homos rubbing up against each other. Grow up, dude.
I remember in Mansfield, MA, 2nd Lollapalooza, the tore down the wooden fence in the back during their set and burned it! A huge bonefire right in the crowd. Haha.
Chorus- if you tube will post without larceny of swear words- good grief never have this much trouble Remeber- not sucker but- f... :) Thieves! Liars x4 Inside? Outside? Which side? We dont know! My side? Your side? Their Side? No one knows!
you know the chorus- youtube keeps censoring my comments- but its defenitey not sucker! The original version- once written- began with an F... but removed- via censorship
For some reason or another, I noticed that the power drill audio sample was EXTREMELY "crisp" in this particular video. Very nice.
And yes, I concur with you about the sound effect adding to the overall feel of the song.
Soon as someone hears the opening bars of this track and then that high torque drill sound kicks in, the listener cannot be mistaken as to whom the song is by and what the immense audio assault lies in wait for all of those within earshot over the next 5+ minutes.
@joshpaulh14 I guess I'm fuckin' retarded too because you can clearly tell that's not KFK, kerry has tattoos all over his arms and head the dude you're referring to does not have those distinctive tattoos and kerry plays B.C. Rich exclusively, that's not a B.C. Rich Guitar he's playin' lol
@joshpaulh14 wow, lets just say your new to the internet and call it even? notice the guy is this video has no head tats and is paying bass kinda like this guy /watch?v=kT8gPhXr6q0
when the song goes to the drill seargant saying i cant hear you, i swear that has to be R. Lee Ermy!

RIP wax trax - you guys gave em a chance to become what they are.
Way to end the career with keys to the city- this is our year!
Bottom line- this is the real deal- loud and proud chicago style- without trends you hear today in modern music.
Chicago style... its not sucker- it begins with an f instead of an s- that is how it was done- years ago- ask the big g@y man- he knows- he wrote it.
He wanted peace too- cheers! 2 horns

Big g@y Al is a blackhawks fan!
Its not sucker! The original word- begins with an F! The chicago crew knows- and was changed on the recoreds- for censorship purposes!
One of Chicagos finest- we will miss ya Big Al...
