  • All trains even CRH1 can reach 250 km/h.

But on the Ningbo-Wenzhou i took both CRH2 and CRH1. the CRH2 stands 250 km/h (the line support i think up to 300 or more), CRH1 only 200.

CRH5 is based on the Alstom (french/italy made) Pendolino and i think is up to 250 or more...

So i think deoends on details we does not know..

  • awesome video, tnx for sharing :D

  • CRH5 only shows how Alston French are crap!

  • @CelestialKindred Why?

  • I heard that since the CRH5 performs poorly and can only achieve 200km/h that they are restricted to the regular Jinghu because that's the top speed there.

  • @NYLifeInNJ

Hmmm, CRH5 is said to be more qualified in cold area, so most likely used in North China, I think. I myself used CRH5 once in last August, 2009. It reached to a speed of 248km/hr on the new Qinhuangdao to Shenyang railway.

  • @wangdos Interesting, thanks for the info!
