hmmm seems interesting....that price is shocking...socket 775 seems a little bit old..... anyway why not a fullscale pc and nettop? I personally don't want to spare that space on my desk. I'm using intel speed steping and amd cool'n'quiet but if there would be an option to turn the graphics card completly off and use the onboard solution it would be perfect....this way I'm hoping for the big brother of this motherboard: DDR3, atom 330 maybe next gen chipset?

I wouldn't buy this, it barely has any PCI slots, and as we all know, the more integrated shit is on the mobo, the more it tend to fuck up, just like Sony Vaio And HP computers, too many experimental gadgets...

I suggest waiting a year with your current motherboard, and read online the opinions of users that actually became the lab rats.

Very impressive. But I don't see how I would use that, personally. I always just use an S3 sleep state. Shuts down about everything, using less than 10 watts. But boots up in under 7 seconds. The motherboard has very nice technology, gratz on DFI for coming up with that.

The use for 2 systems 1 motherboard with the gigabit hub would be great for a firewall for example. The Intel Atom would be fine to handle a Linux distribution with iptables running while the Core2 could run Windows/Linux with more intense services running.

What about hardware failure? Outside of clustered virtual environments hardware would affect you regardless... why not save the space and power.

I dont know man, you could easily accomplish this by throwing in a pico-itx or maybe a mini-itx in your case if you have a full tower. Then use whatever you want as the micro/atx motherboard

It is not that the task manager will have 6 threads. It is a separate machine with merged IO. Basically you can only just switch from one to another like logging and and off user; instead using the switch to switch forth/back the display of each machine.

This is absolutely perfect if you want both a dead silent (no fans!!) browsing/small work system, and a powerful system in one. Hook up two displays and perform some real multitasking!

It's worth the $400 for me, although I may wait for the price to go down.

Also lads, it is totally legal to rip your own DVDs. Unless you witnessed anyone downloading what they don't got, don't jump to conclusions.
