Pro wrestling is scripted but brutal. Nowadays strikes are stiff, ring is harder and too much risk, I wish pro wrestling gets more respect than being called fakes

Sure its not "real", but I'm sure chops and stiff kicks hurt like hell and I know its not easy to be a wrestler, its a lot of work and long hours of traveling.

As it says on monologue, entertainment. That's why ppl will never see them as baseball players or soccer players. Entertainment, not sport (even though sports can be entertaining too, except golf).

Wrestling is a performance sport - much like a violent dance or gymnastics - and unfortunately wrestlers dont get half the amount of respect that competitive sportsman/women do despite the lengths they go to for their art.

Its not about people not knowing its predetermined. The act of having any "work" ( let alone predetermining the match ) kills every aspect of it being a compitive sport. Look at the Wiki of any wrestlers page and see the belts he achieved. None of them ( at least in WWE era ) are achieved because its worked. Why the hell they list them as achievments for a wrestler ( beyond proof he can gain a crowd ) is beyond me.

ppl tried to legitimize it ( Inoki,tigermask) though.Good people.
