Gloria is a lady - not simply [sic] a woman- she brings and demands respect for her life and all her music. I adore classical music and do not usually like concert pop, but this is art by a sincere and talented person. She is wonderful. And nice, I understand, when meeting the neighbors; kids.

They are different singers and both good. Gloria is a great singer and very talented. She was a good role model in the 80s and 90s. I don't hear as much about her anymore.

The Miami homecoming concert of 1989 was perhaps the peak of Gloria's performing career. Every second of it was absolutely awesome.
And she has been an inspiration to me for a long time in other areas too, but.... for years I've had reservations about some aspects of her public persona. Those doubts were explained completely this month by revelations that leave me ashamed to ever have doubted her.
Gloria, shoould you read this some day, please know that te quiero mucho!
Watching this performance on the Dutch Television 20 years ago I became a huge fan of hers til date. What she made out of the recorded version here is so unbelievably good. What a performer, what a singer, how much passion, what a composer. She's the best overall artist and not "just" a singer and you can feel it. A shame that this concert is not available on DVD !

You are not the greatest female singer of all time in my opinion, however I reckon only Judith Durham, Karen Carpenter and possibly Donna Summer are better.

i had a tape of this who i have recorded on dvd. It's a shame there is no dvd of this. The miami sound machine is the best band i ever saw. Gloria (who's also great of course) made dvd's after this, but there is no dvd of this! really a shame!

I think Gloria is very underrated as a singer and songwriter. While we often think of Madonna, Whitney Houston and the like as the great voices/entertainers of the 80's and 90's Gloria quietly but steadily made a name for herself and I would argue has stood the test of time better than most of her contemporaries. When music history looks back on her career they will recognize just how much she did for music.
She is so beautiful! She is my idol! Thats the best I can say about her! Because words cant explain her! She is amazing and this video is so awesome! I love you Gloria!

How many concerts have you been to where the singers sing LIVE (which shows if they can actually sing or not)? You'll go a long way to find one better. As you are possibly trying to say, she has something else - something none of the divas have or ever will have and will never be the same as. Gloria was my very first Hispanic Singer that I fell in lowe with. I saw her 3x in Concert in the '80-90s. The last one was when she left Phila. to go to up state PA and her Tour Bus got into an accident. She writes her own songs and I find that those that do, have more feeling when they sing. Marc Anthony also writes and co-writes his songs and so does Christina Aguilera.
This is the absolute best version ever of the best song of Gloria. I only have this on an old vhs tape that is totally worn out. Thank you for putting it up here. Real pitty it does not run completely untill the music ends and on my pc the images and sound are not synchrone. But it is still better then my old VHS tape :) If anyone knows a link to a better quality version of exactly this performance please tell. Thanks

Watching this performance on the Dutch Television 20 years ago I became a huge fan of hers til date. What she made out of the recorded version here is so unbelievably good. What a performer, what a singer, how much passion, what a composer. She's the best overall artist and not "just" a singer and you can feel it. A shame that this concert is not available on DVD !

Gloria, let me tell you this.
You are not the greatest female singer of all time in my opinion, however I reckon only Judith Durham, Karen Carpenter and possibly Donna Summer are better.
I hope you will take this as a compliment, because to be one of the greatest female singers of all time takes some doing!!!

craigulator22 - amen to that - have you ever seen her in concert? It's like being born again - nothing else is better. I know, I've seen her twice and will be seeing her a third time this year. I've heard she's cutting down concerts, so gotta get out there and don't worry about the cost.

i had a tape of this who i have recorded on dvd. It's a shame there is no dvd of this. The miami sound machine is the best band i ever saw. Gloria (who's also great of course) made dvd's after this, but there is no dvd of this! really a shame!

I'm in marching band and our half time show is the greatest Gloria Estefan Songs. We're playing "Conga", "rythym is Gonna Get You", "Words Get in the Way", "1-2-3", "Anything For You", and "Turn the Beat Around". This is my favorite so far. :)

She throws one hell of a concert. Well worth the money.
I think Gloria is very underrated as a singer and songwriter. While we often think of Madonna, Whitney Houston and the like as the great voices/entertainers of the 80's and 90's Gloria quietly but steadily made a name for herself and I would argue has stood the test of time better than most of her contemporaries. When music history looks back on her career they will recognize just how much she did for music.

babsaloops - don't take this the wrong way, but at 18 years old, how can you possible come to say she's not got best voice? How many concerts have you been to where the singers sing LIVE (which shows if they can actually sing or not)? You'll go a long way to find one better. As you are possibly trying to say, she has something else - something none of the divas have or ever will have and will never be the same as. She's incredibly unique and gives much pleasure for a lot of us. Respect...

Gloria was my very first Hispanic Singer that I fell in lowe with. I saw her 3x in Concert in the '80-90s. The last one was when she left Phila. to go to up state PA and her Tour Bus got into an accident. She writes her own songs and I find that those that do, have more feeling when they sing. Marc Anthony also writes and co-writes his songs and so does Christina Aguilera.

This is the absolute best version ever of the best song of Gloria. I only have this on an old vhs tape that is totally worn out. Thank you for putting it up here. Real pitty it does not run completely untill the music ends and on my pc the images and sound are not synchrone. But it is still better then my old VHS tape :) If anyone knows a link to a better quality version of exactly this performance please tell. Thanks
