I think that when songs like No One's Gonna Love You, gets covered by the likes of Cee Lo Green and Kid Cudi (The Prayer), they remix and cover it because they appreciate the lyrics and the songs. If you're going to just make a carbon copy of the original, than what's the point of covering it at all. And he didn't take the song out of context AT ALL. Well in that case, they've been doing that for years and it's perfectly fine with me as long as they get the copyright approval, which most artists nowadays get. There's a lot of songs I like that use sampling. Eminem's sampling of Dido on "Stan" is a good example of sampling done right. In fact, I find it ironic that everyone bitches about Kanye West sampling Daft Punk when Daft Punk samples in almost all of their song.
