  • because he is 8, i wont make bad comments;but he is good yeah

  • this guy is a fag at my school :P

  • those shots arent out dummy there in its called top spin halowannabee12 duh

  • 65.33% of his shots went out

  • His mum or whoever is at the other end is just setting him up every shot

  • half of the balls he hit were out

  • wow hes good... but what about the Alexei dude. Doesnt seem easy reading the play he got good tennis sense when he goes up to the net or not.

  • Full ball, single handed backhand, get some serious physio in place or he'll be injured for life....

  • @oneandonlymaxranson naw, hes even better now

  • Comment removed

  • hes my friend lol

  • most of them were in you all got vision problems

  • isn't most of forehand out?! lol

  • @iwatatakuya and all of them were in but 1 or 2 of them

  • He's really good! How does he get that good?

  • @MrIiiijjjjiiii hes a spoiled brat, his parents are rich and spoil him so yeah

  • @TennisaceAn not true!

  • dang, im really impressed that this kid actually uses a one hand backhand, i dont have the strength to do it until i was 11

  • Bro, every single one of those shots went OUT!! My brother is when he played under 10 tournaments, he beat this kid EASY!

  • @oneandonlymaxranson

    You are very right.

  • Lefty, one handed backhand... I like

  • lol this kid is probably 17 years old

  • his not that great... the other guy on the court is even worse... giving him easy points to finish that make him look good, but denis still has good form

  • also brother played him he crushed this kid 6-1 6-2

  • @vidsnipe09 alright? congratulations? lol no one gives a shit, kid is good no matter what

  • played this kid 2 times first i won 6-2 3-6 7-5 second match i won 6-3 7-5

  • I don't see the need for an 8 year old to be grunting

  • 1:24 = amazing

  • tu mets zero effet en revers c un enfer

  • he plays like me.....but im twice his age =/ lol

  • Its funny how i add him on face book..... and he said he is No.1 for age group atm

  • This is how all the tennis greats start out. They didn't burn out, so why would this kid? You don't quit something you are this talented at, especially in high school. He would already beat the average high school tennis player.

  • she go easy on him

  • is it just me or does it look like all of his shots are going out in the back of the court

  • @mattlevy12 i was going to type the same thing, before even read the comments ...

  • @mattlevy12 I think thats because hes short so the trajectory of his shot is up whereas most of us and pros dont have to hit as much up in order to obtain depth. I'm pretty sure his shots are in, otherwise they wouldnt post the video

  • I can beat him, 8,4 easy

  • hes my age, right 11 years old hes good

  • buy him the NADAL RAQUET with the black RPM Blast strings!

  • Nice serve! :D

  • WOW.!!!! Single handed backhand. Something definetly nice to see in an 8 y/o kid!! Keep up the good work!

  • @ChekiVideoAnalysis he is 12 now....

  • Dennis Sharapolov (A)

  • someone's parents are trying to get their kid a sponsorship - these russians are ruthless even with their own kids.

  • russian talent i guess. :)

  • very good, but as he gets older he wont be able to get points from net play that often. Stillgood!

  • sharapova

  • pe pustiul asta i l bat cu mina dreapta chiar daca sunt stangaci ca shi el !!!!

  • omg

he is really really really good

    when he's 15 he's a prof!

    good work;)

  • hes grunting on purpose

  • mute buttom FTW.

for music and grunt (its both annoying)

  • funny how his backhand is nice and low pretty flat and forehand is freakin loopy as can be and loaded up with spin. no to bash just saying. but crazy topspin for a lil guy lol

  • What's his ranks in canada

  • who's the person playing with her

  • Make sure he trains his other side of the body. At that young age, he can screw up his spinal cord because of the stress of using a one handed backhand.

  • nice shot at 1:22

  • his grunt sounds like he is having sex?

  • he is a gun

  • his mom (?) is spoiling the kid by feeding him slow short balls.

  • the guy on the other end doens't attack the ball -_- he just puts the ball

  • Comment removed

  • very decent! single handed backhanded needs work but still promising :)

  • yeee mah daughter on facebook lmfaoo !! yo make sure u play provincials in london im gonna need a re match from like 4 years ago! XD.. i would never post vid of me playin tennis but u have fuckin shit lload of views ! r missing da tweener btw :)

  • amazing! a single backhand? nice. keep it up lil bro.

  • Big Ego...most annoyingest grunt ever and come on with the music that song was made like 8 years ago...soooooo oldfashioned

  • Thought about Bollettieri's academy?

  • is he a transgender?

  • you really had to inclue the 8 months old part?

  • good god...

  • For a minute you guys were hitting the ball to the beat of the song

  • If his opponent ever hit a deep penetrating ball, this kids' forehand is going to be a huge liability.

  • and you have to factor in that, he is 8 training, he is risking getting injured big time, i feel for this kid.

  • 8 and a half? more like 11.

  • he's not 1 year old lool, he seems much older

  • that is by far the fakest and worst grunt in the history of all sports he grunts wen he volleys but not wen he serves hes good but cum on tell him to stop that fake grunt which is annoying and will get him skitted cum on does he grunt wen he lobs a ball his grunt is i never thought i wuld say this but worse than nadals

  • he is quite good u should put a new one on now that its a couple of years on

  • holy smokes.. a junior with one handed backhand!!!

  • Fairly far along for an eight-year-old. Weak serve, though I'm sure that will come with age and growth. Not sure how far you are willing to travel for summer tournaments, but the Traverse City and Petoskey areas of Northern Michigan host some very competitive tournaments that would serve him well. All of the wealthy kids from the South go up to those resort towns and are fabulous tennis players. Lots of great players to help better your boy's game!

  • Denis Shapovalov plays in the OTA (ontario tennis association) and is ranked 3rd for Boys U12. Alot of players at my club say he's really good NOW and has a really hard, good, consistant serve. I'm pretty sure he was serving 2nd serves in this video just to get it in but he can probably serve alot better than that.

  • this kid is real good but is annoying as hell

  • @chocolateskater23 Haha yeah, the yelling is a bit much for a little child, especially when just hitting in practice!

  • has a pretty risky game going for the lines but very smart in shot choices

  • Haha, he looks like Macaulay Culkin, and look what happened to him!!!

  • love this kids playing style, he already knows the transition from baseline to net!

  • nice volley =)

  • I love this video!! You are so cool girl !! do you also have your video on globaltalentshow com???

  • i've seen better

  • ok I normally dont say this to ANYONE i'm not kidding! But this kid has talent. I dont care how old he is or how many shots he makes or misses. but Ohh my god, he has a HUGE forehand his movement on the court is great and he runs around his back hand alot that good. He's still really yound but in a couple of years or whenever this kid will be good. just keep going , i know this is from 3 years ago, i wat to see some new ones. GOOD LUCK.

  • omg he's cute!

oops, lay off the jail bait.

  • all the kit but no idea...

  • good but not the best ...

  • wow our future tennis ^___^*, he has very nice form

  • This kid rocks--i'm sure the Candian national program can work the bugs out of his forehand--he's got all kinds of time.

Jelena Jankovic didn't even start playing tennis until she was 9 years old.

  • daaayyyyyyyyyuuuuuummmmmmm LOL

  • is he going for the andre agassi methhead look?

  • STUNNING!! O_O

  • this kid is actually very bad i know a few kids at my tennis club that are his age and are better let alone at any higher level. If u look closly alot of his shots are going out and the guy he is playing with is not very good either. I was better than this when i was 8 or 9

  • he doesnt even need to be grunting at his age ..

  • the person who is playing him hits it right back to him for easey shots

  • He's very good! It's great to see kids get into sport early instead of Playstation and surfing the net all day!

  • lol thats what i do. jk, lol but im still pretty good. this guy is really good tho.

  • ill probably get really pissed oof if i play against him cu he screams only chicksa do that no offense

  • funny coz that kid is defs not 8 years old, i know so many 8 year old and im pretty sure there not that tall

  • Im sorry this kid isnt that good because i mean look at the that guy he is hitting with! The other guy isnt even trying! Notice they only show the points that he wins, he probably messed up a dozen points for everyone one point he made look good!

  • first of all, nice top spin! however, your returning serve is lacking a bit but this is from 3 years ago.

  • From what I can see, it looks like hes missing the court half the time and he has absolutely no good taste in music.

  • wow, this kid is pretty good and for a 8 year old his 1 hand back hand is solid

  • Lowl i spit on him he will die !!!!

  • put it on his backhand and run in. easy.

  • i think he is a good player for his age and that but when he gets to 13-16 he will already be burnt out and wont want to play. i feel sorry for all these kids.

  • amen

  • @buddyzaccount most of them hate competition under pressure ?

  • @activesportsman , yes that is true, im 14 and have played for australia, i was training 6 hours a day at tennis and missing lots of school, recently i got stress fractures in my baack which forced me out for 8 months, i started training around 3 hours a day since i been 10 years old, and trust me, i have got very close to getting burnt out from tennis because i was doing to much training at a young age, now im still 14 and have just started training again and quite enjoying it, he is to young.

  • @buddyzaccount fucking retard....... why make up bullshit???? it says your like 27

  • adidas jacket and nike headband lol

  • I have alot of adidas stuff, but Im now switching over to the nike brand. he could be doing the same thing you never know.

  • his forehand is abit to loopey. very easy to volley off

  • your yell is sooooo bloody annoing

  • other person going ez on him

  • Next Nadal just with a onehander!

  • Denis' strokes are highly similar to today's new breeds of western forehand players. I do wonder how far he's come along in the past couple of years. As his size increases, so too should his ability to flatten out his shot. Too common I see young players like this carry their strokes into adulthood. It presents some struggles for later on. Excellent development for an eight year old, though.

  • VERY WELL DONE!!!! :P great playing!!!

  • he hits very deep

  • great technique

  • Holy cow, a young lefty with 1 hand backhand.... Rarebreed :p

  • this kid used to go to my club in rhode island, my dad said he was beating all the 4.0 guys when he was 9

  • not ah?

  • where is he training for the moment?

  • In toronto in national program

  • You are feeding him the balls

  • he's good but he needs someon to make him run whoevers hitting with him is hitting it right back to him

  • hmm i wonder how many hours this kid plays

  • juh

  • impressive....he has a nice forehand, a nice serve, good volley motion and beautiful footwork but his backhand is not what it should be

  • Agree

  • some of his shots look out, like when hes trying to do power, they look really out, and the other guy is like tapping the ball back over, i could do shots like that too.

  • he gets really lucky with the shots, i he keeps on risking it with that weird forehand.

that racquets too big for him also , try a 26 inch.

  • wow very very impressive. hes has awesome footwork for his age!! only thing i dont like is his wild forehand but everything else is top notch! good luck in juniors!

  • Gotta say, dam impressive I teach some kids and i gotta say dam this kid could mop the floor with some of them...some he would have a tough time with but dam good work...and with the whole grunting there was a study done in Mcleans magazine people who grunt get an average of 4 mph faster on any shot than opposed to those who dont grunt...its basically because it relaxes your muscles which allows you to swing faster. so yea I definitely advocate the grunt...keep up the good work

  • you keep on grunting....all of the pros that do it have been very successful, so obviously it doesn't hurt! great form for eight years old, by the way....

  • ugh the grunt tell him you wont feed him if he keeps doing it

  • what the F is wrong with grunting?!

  • In womens tennis it is ok. He sounds like hes forcing a turd lol

  • Nice but next time no music

  • omq

  • Do not believe them, the video only shows points easy for the child, if I edited highlight reel of my son (he has nine years of age) achieve something much better, he has won?

  • the next sharapova ahahha. already got the grunt down. and his names close enough

  • OOPS - I mean 0:49-0:50

  • volleying needs work - look at 2:45 and youll see his racquet drops down all the way after contact showing an unfirm wrist.

If he proceeds further in tennis this will become hazardous and the high level hitters will take you down...

    But keep going,

love the tennis - HATE the music

  • i promises i was better when i was 8 years old

  • amazing...

  • does he really need to be grunting that loud after every shot? hell, hes not hitting the ball hard enough to strain his body. hes just doing that cuz he sees the pros do it...

  • Yeah, he does it even when he is at net, this is ridiculous :D

But he plays very well for his age imo.

  • yeah he does play very well. but it annoys me that hes already yelling at such a young age...i mean, even on his volleys.

  • His grunt is extremely annoying. And his backswing is gigantic. But he could turn out to be a decent player. He could work some high school level players at his level right now.

This video is edited a lot, so it's hard to tell if he is consistent or if this video is only showing the points he won.

  • not amazing i would beat him

  • great boy!!

  • This kid played my little brother in a U10 thing last year. He's really good

  • try to spin the ball more than

  • Very nice player, but it would make it kind of harder if the other guy wasn't giving him easy shots at center...

  • Very good backhand and knowledge of the game as in knowing when to come up for a net shot, very experienced for 8!

  • woooo the next maria sharapovaa great...

  • yeah too bad it is a boy hehe

  • haha same 100db grunt and almost the same last name

  • icant belive that an !!8!! yr old boy is grunting!!! thats horrible

  • oh come on! he looks like a kid whos been trained till his feet bleed. Hes probably spent more time on the court than in school for crying out load!!

  • Nice backhand noob xD

  • nothing special...but keep it up and win in the main event. then you'll be marketable for sponsorship.

  • impressive :D

ill try to remember the name

  • he is tall for an 8 year old

  • hes tall for an 8 year old

  • you are a very good player, i particulally like our one-handed backhand :P, but don't scream like sharapova, look at me, i'm 13 years old and i don't scream, NEVER. even if it is a very hard smash or something else, i don't scream. and the other players like it, too because then it's much quieter :P:P:P

  • I think the worst screamer ever is venus williams... don't got me wrong she's a great player but man the scream can get annoying.

  • i think is michelle larcher de brito. she's a very good player the screams are horrible

  • well....he is talented but...i hate if these young guys start screaming when they hit the ball...

  • he's got the Federer style headband goin'

  • I'll soon be playing against the #1 in Canada in the 10 yo category. Although I'm not in shape at all, I fully expect to beat him in 2 easy sets. I'll let you know how it went :P

  • dude hes 10 now

  • another russian ... no offence to you guys but there are to many good russians xDD

  • i think he started at a very young age?
