Wow, that's some big waves for England. Watergate bay & Fistral beaches are Newquays best surfing beaches anyway! Well Fistral is much better! Nice 1 use lot.
Winters were radical but the summers totally unreal! Full on sea mists that thundered in blew me away- they munted a full on sunny day but it was fun to surf in!
Surfed this place in the mid 80's- first wave I had off the plane from the southern hemisphere! Water was ball-shrinkingingly cold however the wave power made one forget yer kee-nack sack had shrunk to half a walnut shell!
i nearly died in this water!!! big waves took me under whilst being underneath someone elses board seems like forvever when your under the water. still (L) the beach though :) x
Yep Newquay is cool.........bene there a few timew, not for a few years though.........i miss it !! Like i miss england........in florida now, although the beaches are just as good if not better, America is a lot harder to live in than England !!
i learnt to surf here i loved it going back thursday and friday with my friend to show him how to surf best beach ive been to

Just turn up and jump in!
Boscombe surf reef is about 170 miles away to the East, but it does work although it is quite slabby.

Watergate bay is my favourite beach, i learnt to surf there a few years back. Those are some pretty big waves, love that beach!
