@scytherxx yeah dude i had learned the proper tyming .. i always use larage barrel bomb + on its legs when it is trying to attck the fort.. for every 4 LBB+ that i land on his leg 100% he will surely stagerr.. after stagerring i always repeat to shoot arrows on his shell with pierce type bow... i slayed him with 40% town integrity and 11 sec remaining.... cant beleieve that i killed it cause i really know you only need to repel it^^

my set is monodevil set for gunner it gives me +2 adrenaline but my attck is only about 350+ something... with power pill and kitchen buff....

i dont have the felyne heroics... bbut as ar as i can remember he fell down 6 times before he destoyed the fort ..... can i realy repel this shit??

@Skyrender21 yes it is entirely possible to repel it. all you have to do is actually stagger it at the right time so that during the entire quest the fort is not destroyed, and at the same time somehow not dealing enough dmg to kill it.

ive had it with this damn crab, im doing this on my second runthrough of this game, and ive tried onslaught with quake resistance, smolder dragonsword with quake resistance, and adreniline +2 and heriocs heavy bowbun, and came up with destroyd town, times up, and destroyed town, any ideas????????????? and the first time i beat it with the help of my friend that doesnt play this anymore. but im so tired of this damn crab i just want my akantor armour again

@pillarofire hmm try this use ur smolder and what ever armor u like do this take everything needed in the box and go 1 and get more balista S and cannon S then go to either camp or 2 from there go to 3 and wait for the crab look front and stand infront of the cannon once u see the cannon is aiming at the crab press o then go to the balista and shoot at it after that do the dragonator and go get another cannon S and shoot the cannon once it stands tall after that go down and hit the same leg

Man, bows were sick in MHF2, but in MHFU they had to dumb them down and they suck now. It takes too long to kill with bows in MHFU.

Haha, if you're gonna be using bows for speed, then you're doing it wrong.

Just because bows got nerfed a few points is no reason to dismiss an entire weapon class' viability as a proficient means to do a kill.

I've done plenty of G rank kills with bows. You just have to be patient and careful.

ok, without any power talons or anything, raw damage starts off at 300, attribute at 200. To kill akantor, i used my armour with the most powerful defence, anything near 430 should be fine. I used death stench S with normal tigrex vambraces. it doesnt give any skills.

get bigmeat and demonshroom from your cats. ill make another post with the items u oughta bring, theres a lot of stuff :P

strategy with hammer is simple

keep to his right so u dont get caught by tail whip, stand near his right leg and triple pound his face. Super pound him whenever he turns. when u stun him, you have enough time for 2 triple pounds and to start charging for a super pound, although he's usually in rage mode after this, cos u just smashed his face =P good luck with him

What gems did you use to get speed fire on that set. The akantor sash gives speed fire +2 so how did you get it up to 10?

Kinda but that would mean getting 8 rathian plates and you're a bow user. Unless you also use a cutting type weapon that would be incredibly hard.

Oh yeah they are easy to get. Since I posted that comment I have obtained 17 along with the 6 I already had. I was just running low because I made the dragon s blademaster set and the eternal eradicator. That gunner armor set works a treat with those jewels. I only started using bows recently. I got the akantor bow, the prominence bow 3, dragon bow solar and the exterminator bow. Its a change from being a blademaster. I love bows but I despise bowguns, light and heavy.

anti quake is always good if youre meleeing, otherwise just use adrenaline+2 with heroics like me if youre using ranged.

considering that lunastra is basically the same as teostra, the obvious thing wud be to have a look at all the many videos around of HR6 teostra... if youre not sure with weapons i suggest the swift n sure sns. at least then you get to block hehe.

for rath rubies, fight G rank raths, break their head, and cut off their tails, you have a chance to carve the ruby from the tail only, and in the rewards. for lao rubies its luck. for felyne fur rubies its also luck, but much higher chance.

well, since i have never played mhp2g i dont know. in mhf2 you can only get to hr6, and by HR4 its already G rank, so you can get rubies by HR6...
