Ok, I see a lot of inconsistencies w/ the Vampire Mythos in a LOT of stories(Excluding Dracula). This is most likely because Vampire lore started out as folklore, so of course, over the years it's been open to changes and, ergo, misinterpretation. This is why, I believe, so many different traits are attributted to vampires. Though, I admit, the concept of a vampire "Sparkling" is only concievable to me when one bursts into flames at Sunrise...
