Being an unbeliever, I feel that it is natural to oppose those who believe that they are correct for no other reason than the belief in a book that was told to them to be the truth. It IS fascinating to see the great theological divides within Christiandom. Apparently there are more than a few christian denominations who reject the "Sermon on the mount" and see it as not applicable for the present day but only to go into effect when Jesus returns. That was a real eye opener for me! Also many denominations seem to follow only the writings of Paul and ignore the writings of Jesus. I have to live,work and share this nation with christians. Rather than having them read, I would rather preach because "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God". Not to say that they can't read for themselves though. I would use extreme caution when telling unbelievers they WILL get a response back, seeing that their hearts and minds are at enmity with God (Romans 8:7).
