I believe the biggest reason this is happening is the poor nutrition, we see the same thing even here in america... If they had acsess to more nutritious food (and I am not talking about the average american diet) then things would improve, even being home births.

Reading the comments posted by many people here, i think ignorance is pretty prevalent amongst the educated as well. Being poor is not a choice. Pay attention to the narrator...'there are no clinics nearby, etc.' how do u expect people to build clinics and revolutionize their living when they haven't money to feed themselves.
