i don't know much about muscle cars but all i know is that import is much faster than those two muscle cars. they're loud and all but nahhh compare it to a stock skyline @ 276 hp to the wheel, they're nothin.
except these cars have 327hp at the wheel from the factory, get better gas mileage than a turbo skyline, and cost just about 1/2 the price (and dont get me started on handling, because in 1997 the ss camaro did 71mph on the slalom (faster then any skyline except the r34
actually, the 97 ws6/ss did the slalom at 71.5mph, and skidpad at 0.91. r32/r33 skyline does slalom at 68.0, 0.88 on skidpad. r34 (costed $90 000) did the slalom at 70mph, and had 280hp. for a 13.0 second 1/4 mile.
whats so good about this car, it get beaten in handling, gas mileage, and is just as powerful/fast as a $30 000 f-body with no twin turbos.
@gurlyracerzz you were dropped on your head as a baby weren't you, either that or your some inbred who has a hard on for imports and losing, THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT, FOR DISPLACEMENT, AND IF YOU SAY TURBO, WELL GUESS WHAT COMES AFTER ALL THOSE BOLT ONS, they are ECONOMY CARS PEOPLE NOT RACE CARS! plus you need a high hp platform to start if you want big numbers, Japanese blocks don't usually handle to well (yes their are exceptions, supra, skyline, rotatory with a HUGE turbo)

You said it yourself, you don't know much about musclecars. But it's pretty evident. r34 is a sweet car, but I'd take a corvette z06 over it any day. Better handling, more reliable, faster acceleration, faster braking, better gas mileage, and better sound/looks (though that's subjective).
