Could you tell me how you get the distinct beat sound? I just can't replicate it, is it only achievable with a semi-acoustic?

@ArendvanDop It's just a beat that I once learned from a proper guitarist ;) Check out my video of Crazy, it works on some songs. It's a bit hard to explain the rhythm in writing, but I can try:

1. first you take your fist and "bang" it to the guitar

2. strum down - up

3. bang the strings

4. strum up - down - up. Repeat and repeat ;)

Amazing technique, but I don't think it fits for this song. The singing is too soul for so much guitar work. Have you tried changing the singing rhythm to fit the guitar?

@jasonmh I see what you mean! But, I like contrasts, I think it makes life more exciting :) I can see that everybody might not agree with me though. Have you seen my version of Crazy? Maybe that's more suiting in your opinion?
