I think at 1:47 the translation should be "but I do not answer you" because the word "entlocken" means literally "to entice away". But that's just my opinion.

One thing I'd like to point out:

At 1:32 it says, "Ich fuehl mich fremd an deiner Haut," which literally means, "I feel myself strange on your skin." (I suppose you could translate that as "I feel strange on your skin/when I touch your skin.") That's quite different from "Your skin feels strange to the touch," which attributes the strangeness to the other person.

Gift in English means something given. Both words for poison and gift were always very similar in Germanic languages, but German altered the word from the German verb vergeben which used to be used to mean to poison or to give something which would kill and made the word vergiften, because you'd get mixed up when saying the same word for both to poison and to forgive. Everyone followed suit, forgetting gift's original meaning and now Vergeben solely means to forgive in German.

I think (if I can trust in my english skills) there is a mistake in "Doch du entlockst mir keinen Laut" since you translated it as "Yet you make no sound for me". The meaning isn't right, it should be something like "Yet you don't raise a sound from me" because the literary you isn't the one who makes (no) sound.

Lyrics from Oomph! aren't the easiest ones to translate (in fact there are sure some Germans who aren't able to understand the whole text in it's meaning); keep your work up! :)

so some good german bands (in this genre) are Megaherz, eisbrecher. but you could also try bands like "Die toten Hosen" or "die Ärtze" but "die ärtze" sing very fast so it´s difficult to understand them.

Also I am sorry for randomly using German words in my English I am studying with full immersion so I literally can't help it. Actually, i don't know of too many German bands, the one's I listen to most have already been mentioned. I generally listen to Oomph, Rammstein, Eisbrecher, Megaherz, E Nomine, In Extremo. I've also started listening to a few Tokio Hotel songs because their lyrics aren't too complicated, so it helps me practice translating.

:D that's very surprising that people would mark this with 2 negatives. Actually I did lots of research some people when they are learning language have a problem with their language and get mixed up. It's 100% normal and it happens to many people. Also I threw myself into German 100%.

But in my defense when your having that language barrier problem, it is annoying trying to edit it into one language so I find it incredibly hilarious to give that negative remarks! It made my day to see that :P!

I love Oomphs music: I'm glad that someone was willing to take the time to attempt to translate the songs, as these are helping me understand the language a bit better myself before I head off to Germany for three weeks in June. I have one question though: the beats in the background are VERY similar to "Träumst Du", as well as the way the lead sings. Are "Träumst Du" and "Du lügst" Part of some sort of series of songs about a particular person? I'm very curious about this.

My only comments are that hör nicht auf might translate better as "Don't stop" rather than "I won't stop" and das Gift der Lüge lähmt mich immer noch seems like it'd translate "The poison of the lie always cripples me" Ich fühl mich fremd an deiner haut" seems more like "Your skin feels foreign(or odd/strange w/e i can't think of the word haha) to me" I may very well be completely wrong on all counts, but that's just what it seems to me haha.
