Each band has(had in the case of ATDI) its own individual purpose, and musical goals. Why would Omar want to make the same music over and over?

@iamthegirlfriend well making the comparison of ATDI and TMV is awful because they are two different genres. this music is near the same realm as TMV. i would say making a comparison with this works, especially having the same members, same gear, and same style in general as TMV. and if you listen to his new records under his solo area, his recent stuff (not archive releases) they are very similar if not sound exactly like this. the comparison makes sense

@boogster123321 Well, ive seen people compare ATDI and Volta before. Some are even willing to throw Sparta in there just because of member relations. I still dont think the comparison stands though. If this were supposed to be as good as or better than The Mars Volta he wouldve used it for The Mars Volta. He didnt though, so it has a different motivation aside from the fact that Omar just loves making music. Thats the way i see it when people do similar things in multiple projects.

I hope TMV tours Canada some time, ACID TRIP ANYONE?! lol, but seriously they need to release something new, or make the second part of octahedron, accept make it a little more exciting. But again, that's what they were going for on that album, the 'Acoustic' album of TMV. It was still good regardless, but I'm itching to hear new material haha.
