i agree on the micra and nissans are great but that bmw isant good, also the primera gt beats the bmw and beats subarus and evos that try to beat it because my brother has one standard and for its age is a legend and is definatly in top 3 2.0 ltr cars for non turbo and beats everything its vs'd exept my aunt's jaguar lol but the bmw didant pull away it was just infront and the primera hadto slow down so it didant hit it

the best road car nissan has came up with is arguably the skyline series, however BMW has 5 litre road rockets that are on the road and they simply own over any standard skyline, as for primera's...the very poor mans skyline.

dude next time you wanna take a car don't just "floor it" drop gears until you find a gear that will handle the speed your at at as higher rpm as possible before redlining. a motors gains speed when the cams are open at 700rpm a lot easier then 4..
primeras are quite stable at high speeds, and of course the sr has no equal ... i will never sell mine, and i tire of guys thinking they need to "move up"
No i do not need a low tank to go faster, even if it actually does make me a bit faster... and a 1.8 liter bmw would shit its pants at 190 km/h anyway. Mate of mine has a 2liter e36 (110kw smth) and he couldn't beat me on 0-100 dragrace. Don't know if he'd be faster in a long run tho

Kent cams, intake, exhaust and "race chip" will not get you to 11000rpm. End of. It's simple physics, stock engine internals cannot handle the stresses put on them at 11000rpm, they will rip apart. You can keep deluding yourself all you want, please be sure to take a video camera to record the moment when you try to hit 11000rpm, it should provide the rest of us with a laugh.

I drive a primera, I know the engines, there is no way in hell you can get 11'000rpm from a GA16DE on stock internals.
Don't bother :) 87 in his nick is probably his date of birth. So his 11,000 rpm, he couldn't get from car even in the latest Need for speed :D and not even from GA16DE :) Even valve springs can't stand for such load

i am a nissan mechanic, no primera or almera engine will rev to 11,000rpm, it wouldnt even go to 9,000rpm

The GA16 is a good solid engine and if economy is one of your main concerns, you could certainly do a lot worse.
The SR20 is where it's at though. Matched 86mm bore and stroke means the most gorgeous engine note upwards of 4k

At 6500RPM? I'm sorry, but at those RPM, the rev limiter kicks in. :) Not if you have a GT, those will go to 7000RPM.
But, I totally agree, a SR20 likes to rev, above 4000RPM, it really goes quick. :)
