Madness I guess. In the game (Tsukihime), they explain that Red Arcuied is the persona that Arcuied takes on when she is no longer able to hold in her vampiric thirst for blood. Now, normally she behaves herself quite well, but if something happens that would divert her body's concentration from restraining her vampire nature, like having to focus on healing herself, this personality will emerge and basically hunt for blood and generally be out of control. So it's like Berserker Arc in a way.

Yep, you pretty much hit the nail right on the head.

But I'm still kinda curious about the final fight in Red Arc's arcade mode. She fights herself (the regular Arc), so either she's fighting an inner battle, or they're two different people. I personally think its the former, but you never know...
