This would be Hillary's only viable, real opportunity to get another shot at the presidency. She would have to wait 8 years, but she would be in a much more advantageous positioned to get the presidency than having to wait in the Senate for 8 years to do it again. It would set her up better for yet another run. So, I can see Hillary really trying to push for a VP spot. I thought that her ego wouldn't permit it, but I think reality finally hit her. Could Obama live w/ it? I really think so.

I would love for Obama to win in Nov, but the reality is he is the weakest nominee in a long time, and has to come up with an effective stratagy to gain core democratic voters (white working class, women, catholics etc) to his side and make them show up and vote in Nov. hillary was a college republican as wesleyan, campaigned for goldwater, and only became a democrat after her preferred candidate, nelson rockefeller, didn't get the republican nomination against nixon. if that doesn't sum up her political philosophy, i don't know what does. and on a side note, WHY would anyone think a rockefeller for president is a good idea?
