Jesus will reconcile all things to himself, everything in the heavens and on earth - the christian religion teaches he will reconcile almost everyone to Satan. How truly twisted religion is, how blinding. What they really believe is that Jesus didn't accomplish much on the cross, and the first man Adam did more than the 2nd man Jesus.....grrrrr.
The prodigal {LOST} return to the Father in repentance and faith in Jesus work on the cross.
All people will come to the end of themselves .The Good News is that Christ has died and rose again to give them life everybody not a single person missing out.
Now for most this is not in this lifetime but in an age to come in the resurrection.
This resurrection often called the resurection of damnation by eternal hell believers.
damnation? Greek = ........... you do the study if you care to
MATH 10:28 Destroy ? appollumi in Greek The prodigal {appollumi} son did he not repent under chastisement of wrong decisions and actions? same Greek word.Prodigal is often referred to as the" lost "son.
Hell ?gehenna in Greek ge= place of henna =anglicized hinnom the local rubbish dump where criminals, animals were cast and burnt ie a local known place symbolic of judgement of the Jews by invading armies who burnt the bodies of the dead there
When the rest of humanity are resurrected at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ on this earth the Lake of fire Judgement begins .
I hope you like Zoe's painting shown at the start of this video depicting this important time in History which will culminate in the conversion and salvation of all humanity and all fallen angels.Literal and figurative fire is depicted as the purifying fire of God causes all to repent + rest in Christ 4 eternal life .1 Cor 15 :22-28 HEB 12 :28-29 Mth10:28
And frankly if this Eternal punishment garbage were true, I would rather go to hell than be around some god who only saves because of their self righteousness and arrogance all in the name of Religion. You can listen to your innaccurate King James Bible and the disgusting theologies of your Baptist Church, but I will not be swayed into these Egotistical lies you preach. Just leave me alone!
So petey is back again. None of those warnings are talking about Eternal Hellfire. They are once again talking about the destruction of Jerusalem. But why am I arguing with a close minded traditionalist. He prefers his traditions, and will not rest till he wins. So Im done arguing with you pete. I have no problem with Christ, I have a problem with these filthy traditions and historical lies who twist the word of God.
If we allow the meanings that words convey to be distorted for whatever reason then it is very difficult to get the correct message being conveyed.
Most of us will never be super fluent in the ancient languages and references to scholars attempts to bring out meanings is worth the study in time used many times over.
We might not read every scholars input but a consultation over a wide field of scholars+ basics of their study helps us understand.
In front of me I have a very interesting book written by Alister Mcgrath called
In The Beginning THE STORY OF THE King James Bible published by Hodder and Stoughton ISBN 0 340 78585 3 .
The meaning of words! How they have changed!
It is a good read and very informative and I would recommend it as an eye opener to those who insist on each word having one and only meaning irrespective of context and the greater body of scripture and evidence to the contrary.
Jesus, Paul and the other apostles warned about world dominizing religious institutions, not just one but many. Lets think, what two religions came after Jesus and were fairly powerful? PseudoChristianity and Islam. Yet both teach Eternal Hellfire. Most of the big name religious institutions today all teach eternal torment. Yet how many institutionalized big named churches teach Universal Salvation? NONE, and the big name Churches are called Satans synagogue. Do some research.
Had I not mentioned the word Pharisees, many here would be thinking "HALLELUJAH" The Jews of Jesus day got it right too. But Jesus did not take so kindly to these Pharisees. Did he. He yelled at them for their arrogance, spiritually dead dogmas, soul winning business, burdensome demands, and even were called the sons of Satan. Most of the so called Hellfire warnings Jesus gave were directed at the Pharisees. In fact the Prostitutes would get in before the Pharisees.
There were well educated theologians in the day of Jesus. They knew the Old Testament quite well. And what do you know, they had this same attitude of exclusiveness towards others, harsh legalisms, gloom and doom theology, and a belief in eternal damnation to those not living up to their self proclaimed righteousness. Who were these people? PHARISEES.
Listen up, this Peter Pulpit Pounder is nothing but an agressive troll who is trying to make a mockery of Gods word. Ignore his putrid blasphemy. And the same could be said about him, for trying to infuse his right wing, sadistic, fascist and legalistic dogma. So I will say this petey, you can either at least take some time to understand Universal Salvation, or choose to wallow in your narrow minded misconceptions of UR. Thats your choice. Just leave us alone.
More baseless criticism for lack of theological support. Ironically, you accuse me of both a spirit and message that can be traced right back to the lips of our blessed Redeemer. It was He who spoke of that furnace of fire and wailing and gnashing of teeth, of the wide road that leads to destruction, of the narrow gate that would one day be forever shut against the wicked, and of the resurrection unto damnation. You apparently have more of a problem with Christ than with me.
In Christ we are free.Free of condemnation ROM 8 because our sins are not counted against us.
Many people I know are weighed down by the condemnation that this world brings.
Jesus Mighty Saviour set free the captives that we may all come into Your Father's House where there is Life forevermore.
Let us bathe in your and the Fathers Glory that sin and deception will have no place ever again.Heal O God the brokenhearted, thost trampled on by this world's systems that theymayLIVE
This "no condemnation status" only applies to those who have personally embraced Christ. The evidence of those who have been justified by faith and adopted into God's spiritual family is that they "walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Christ is indeed the "propitiation" for our sins, but the benefits of His sufferings must be applied by faith for these benefits to be realize. Unfortunately, not all will believe and enter into God's salvation.
In Christ we are free.Free of condemnation ROM 8 because our sins are not counted against us.
One dear person I know to this day is weighed down by the condemnation that this world brings.
If Christ is the Propitiation for the sins of the world, did He die in vain for the lost?(1 JOHN2:2)
If so did He know ahead of time that some would ultimately be lost forever? and if so why didn't He do something to prevent these tragedies from ocurring or was He an impotent God Who has lost control of His own creation and the family He was bringing about? These are bedrock foundational truths the answers are found in that Jesus is the Saviour of the whole world evry1+ evrythg.AMightySaviour.
You are now attempting to dissect and explain divine omniscience. It cannot be done. Yes, it is clear God knows the end from the beginning, and it is clear God has always known who will be saved verses who will be lost. Jude speaks of those who were "foreordained unto condemnation." Ephesians speaks of those "chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world." Christ spoke in John 10 of those the Father had given Him, etc.
To view Christ's death as "vain" because His provision can potentially be rejected is a false premise. The Bible clearly tstatesn in 2 Thess. 2:12 that many will be damned because they "believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." In Acts 13:46 the Gospel was taken to the Gentiles because the Jews had "judged themselves unworthy of eternal life." Paul spoke of "enduring all things for the sake of the elect". It was obvious to him not all would be saved.
@peterpulpitpounder As a teenager "Max"explained to me that without a doubt the bible contained no translation errors. He referred to the King James and was a staunch family line Baptist extreme conservative evangelical.Other friends discussed the role of the popes, the role of the Anglican church, translations,Billy Graham,Luther etc etc on a more even keel rather than just denominational upbringing which of course he denied that his viewpoint had anything to do with. The King James was it.
No translation is perfect. I'm not of the KJV only camp, and never said I was. But what I am certain of is that the KJV is a very worthy translation, that it accurately communicates God's message to us, and that you are blatantly disregarding the clear message of Scripture by teaching the lie of universalism. This teaching is not supported by any worthy translation, nor can it be held by anyone who "honestly" seeks the truth.
@peterpulpitpounder Jesus is indeed the Saviour of the whole world1John 2:2-4 COL 1:19-201PEt 1:20 1Tim 4:8-10.
To those who do not believe in this lifetime they will in an age to come The Great White Throne Judgement age or also known as the Lake of Fire. Its judgement is corrective and will not go on forever.
And about Christs supremacy. Judgment brings redemption. So every knee shall be judged not forcibly, but out of true humility in the original greek. Lets see what else. Everlasting is another mistranslation of Aion which means an indefinite period of time. Destruction once again is a process of salvation, as in destruction of your old nature. Not eternal fires as some claim. Furnace also described Egypt as as period of refinement.
To state that the destruction spoken of in relation to damnation is a "process of salvation" clearly proves your incompetence in the theology department. I hate to sound rude, but it's the truth. You sound just like the Mormons who constantly infuse the Bible with their own interpretation, ignoring its clear meaning and intent. In your unbiblical, liberal, humanistic worldview, you are propagating lies, and God's message to you is... REPENT!
Every Knee bowing is not forced submission, Pete. Its all to his glory, and no spin on the scriptures is going to change these clear statements. If God wants all men saved, is it going to be to his glory if most of the people are going to be bowing in forced submission? NO.
Funny how all these comments are the same jargon of their "Hellfire" prooftexts. Yet no one has addressed any UR scriptures. WHY NOT? Because they are clear cut and dry. No way around them. Yet if one uses reason, they would know quite well that those Judgments not being eternal does not make them a walk in the park. The only reason they will not reexamine their faith is out of sheer pride. They cannot stand the truth, because it utterly refutes their Satanic Teachings.
What UR Scriptures do you want to discuss? I've yet to see on valid proof text of Scripture validating the ultimate salvation of all men. They don't exist.
Where in scripture does it plainly teach that the wicked are cleansed, redeemed, saved, reconciled, made righteous, atoned, and made right with God through His purifying law on judgment day in the lake of fire? I don’t want to hear a bunch of spiritualized psycho-
Babble just the simple gospel. My bible says we are cleansed solely by the blood of Christ Rev1:5. Do the wicked get some kind of exclusive salvation?
Just as you state, the Bible says nothing of the "ultimate" salvation of all men. This whole "rehab" spin on the LOF is wishful thinking and the product of pure humanism. The furnace of fire spoken of in Matthew 13, in whch infidels shall be cast, is a place of judgement not reformation. There shall be "wailing" and "gnashing" of teeth. The Bible is quite clear on this matter, totally dismantling the notion of universalism.
Christian universalism ultimately teaches that God's law doesn't condemn sinners but actually cleanses them of their sins in the lake of fire. Apparently its Gods law that cleanses us from all unrighteousness and not the blood of Christ.
They who refuse2 forgiveare not elect ofGod.They are not forgiven even tho' they think they know all the right doctrines, grace, sanctification, holiness, baptism,
healing,casting out demons, miracles,prophecy etc
If you are not granted repentance by God such that you refuse to forgive others in your heart then you simply are not forgiven yourself because you do not see your carnality your old man as dying crucified with Christ. and being raised to newness of life with Christ.
The fearful and unbelieving shall never enter the eternal kingdom. At some point every person becomes a believer.
A believer in the finished work of the cross and that Jesus is indeed the Saviour of the world. They stop having irrational fear.
Without that looking outside of selfish "survival" tactics {that has sadly been traditional christianity for 1500 + years} one lacks the spirit of forgiveness for others and in that case Jesus says emphatically that person himself will not be forgiven.
I know exactly what Gehenna means. Many non biased scholars know what it means. I know what it means. Its those lying hypocrite Pharisees who dont know what it means. I know what Everlasting means, and it is a mistranslation. It never meant forever, nor will it ever mean forever. Hate us all you want, but the truth will get out, and your damnable message will meet the same end the Pharisees message met. Burned up with all the rest of the self righteous legalism preached today.
@peterpulpitpounder If you want to disguss UR, feel free to. But as it is, you seem pretty hooked on your orthodoxy. So I am not gonna argue with you Pete. Thanks for your concern anyways. I know exactly what they mean, and nowhere in the original greek does this ascribe to everlasting punishment.
AS IN ADAM ALL HAVE DIED, SO IN CHRIST SHALL ALL BE MADE ALIVE.
Thats in the bible too
GOD SHALL BE ALL IN ALL
EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TONGUNE CONFESS TO HIS GLORY
1 Cor. 15:22 cannot possibly teach what you claim. In fact, verse 23 very specifically speaks of those who shall participate in the resurection that is unto life as "they that are Christ's." Not all are the children of God, but enemies (v. 25). Paul also spoke of those who would not inherit the kingdom of God. Yes, all men will be resurrected and shall be judged by Jesus Christ, but one resurrection is unto life, the other is unto damnation (John 5:29).
The Phiippians passage, about every knee one day bowing before Christ, etc. On what contextual or exegetical basis do you have to interpret this to infer the salvation of all men? The theme is that of Christ's Lordship not redemption, and that of a future judgment under the supremacy of Christ's exaltation and reign (see Rom. 14:11-12). In fact, Paul went on to speak of the "enemies" of the Cross, whose "end" would be destruction (not salvation).
@peterpulpitpounder Well the bible also says that only by the HOLY SPIRIT can one confess Jesus as lord. But Im not gonna argue with some narrow minded fundie. Just remember, you started it. If you would have just minded your own business and not gone off commenting my post with your ignorant hogwash, we wouldnt be having this problem. As it is, you seem to have an obsession with trying to force your satanic lies on others. And I would respect your beliefs, but you arent respecting others
You are not honestly reading the Scriptures. You can't be, because the Bible does not support the absurd premise that all will be ultimately saved. It's really not that complicated. Many sinners will be thrown into a fiery furnace, and there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Many sinners will be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord. Many will suffer the second death, which will involve being cast into the LOF. That is what the Bible teaches.
A lot of things are not out in the open because of power structures that seem to have been there forever. And who am I thinks the average bloke to know any better or if its wrong to be able to do anything about it or sort it out.for myself
Why "they"..... you know the invisible "THEY'...... might turn on me and expose my faults and querks of human nature, and be made out to be a fool...you didnt know that.....yes self righteousness is in us all.
Most people get their beliefs about God from other people, their parents, sunday schoolteacher, pastor, english bibles etc.I know enough history and enough of the original languages the scriptures were written in to know this never ending hell doctrine crept into christianity from Pagan cultures. Most people know nothing of the original language of scripture nor do they know church history, they don't research these things at all thus remain blinded by tradition.
Christian Universalists are the only deeply biblical believing Christians who have excellent fruits. The Christians who arent so bible trusting are more Christlike, but need more faith in the scriptures. Those who claim that they follow the bible the greatest are more like the Pharisees than Jesus, and not wonder so many people hate the bible when these loveless hypocrits try and portray Christ.
Oh, I'll explain that Jesus used AION, which means AGE. Do some non-biased research. Aion does not mean age, Aidian and aleutosis meant eternity, not Aion. What Jesus spoke of was Gehenna, which is not hell, but what the JEWS of that TIME understood to mean a symbol of PURIFICATION, not ETERNAL DAMNATION. FYI Judgment was not seen as fun, despite only temporary. But I gave up on traditional Churches long ago, and the spirit revealed UR to me, and accepting hell means your loveless or afraid
The Jews understood Gehenna to simply mean purification? Who fed you that line of theological garbage? The term Gehenna was clearly used of Christ to symbolize the future wrath of Almighty God. Check out Matthew 25, where Jesus used the expression "everlasting fire." In context He was not speaking of purification, or any kind of heavenly correctional facility, but of unbelievers being cast into the same place "prepared" for the devil and his diabolical angels.
Mat 11:25 At that season, answering, Jesus said, "I am acclaiming Thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for Thou hidest these things from the wise and intelligent and Thou dost reveal them to minors."
Good work on the video. The only reason that the Hell believers hate the belief in Universal Reconciliation is because their hearts are hardened, and do not want to see anyone saved who did not follow the law. They are not living in love, but under the law, and they are the people Jesus scolded. They cannot see anything except for their selfish egos exulting themselves above the rest of the people even if it means everyone else has to suffer.
@kornRstone KornRstone. The passage does not speak about Jesus. It speaks about the elect of God. For the benefit of others who may be following, here are the question and answer of Isaiah 33 : "Who will abide forever in the devouring fire, the eternal burnings?" Answer: "The righteous of God." This discussion ends here.
@kornRstone KornRstone. About Isaiah 33: For the fourth time, I make a simple request of you. I ask you to respond without quoting other verses or adding commentary. Here is the question from Isaiah 33:14 "Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? " Now, the answer, in the next verse, is only five or so words long. Can you repeat the answer?
@kornRstone before going onto Ephesians: You said "I asked4scriptures. Isa33 tellsMe the rightous willNotDwell n fire." I replied that the passage said the exact opposite of what you wrote. I am not trying to be offensive, but you have to go back to Isaiah 33 again until you see what it says. It says the opposite of what you wrote. I should ask you, if you cannot see that you misread it, what translation/version are you using. But I checked four versions, and they all say the same.
@kornRstone Read Isaiah 33 again. It says the opposite of what you say it says.
If I may suggest a way to think of it, you still see some men as sinners and some men as saints, and have not considered that "For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God."
@kornRstone There is no difference among men. All are flesh, and all flesh will be consumed. Hell and death are destroyed. What does that leave but purified sons of God, for which the entire creation groans in waiting. The overcomers are merely the firstfruits! If you enjoy studying scripture (it appears that you do), may I suggest Isaiah 33 against Obadiah. And then, go through the seven churches of Rev. 2 and 3, and make a list on paper of what is given to those who overcome.
@kornRstone "The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil". The lake of fire is very real, but it is not endless.
God has His FIRSTFRUITS, few CHOSEN, that He will resurrect at His second coming. The REST,the MANY,or the GREAT HARVEST, He will gather later and JUDGE,to be purified in the lake of fire. "For as in Adam ALL DIE,even so in Christ shall ALL be MADE ALIVE." We are ALL MADE( NOT OUR CHOICE!) to DIE in Adam, we shall ALL be MADE( AGAIN NOT OUR CHOICE) ALIVE in Christ!!!
The last enemy,DEATH,will be destroyed and God will be ALL in ALL! Rev. CHAPTERS 14 and 20, followed by 1 Corinth. CHAPTER 15
@miss3v3lyn and, "The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil" All flesh passes through this fire!
@sailing19100 You are exactly right! The fire burns the chaff from the wheat in this life and also in the life to come in the lake of fire judgement!! Blessed are those who will NOT be taking part in the lake of fire(second death) judgement!!! Cheers brethren!
* Many will reject the Gospel because they are NOT the CHOSEN / ELECT,"For MANY are called, but FEW are CHOSEN." Matt. 22: 14,
* But it is not their fault,"For the creature was MADE SUBJECT to vanity, NOT WILLINGLY,but by reason of Him who hath SUBJECTED the same( CREATURE) in HOPE"
* "For God hath concluded ( CONFINED) them all in UNBELIEF, that He might have mercy on all." Rom.11:32 ( Whether it be JEWS or UNBELIEVING GENTILES,because God is no respecter of persons,THEY ARE ALL UNBELIEVERS).
* "...we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of ALL men, specially (Note this word does NOT say EXCLUSIVELY!) of those THAT BELIEVE( FIRSTFRUITS).These things command and teach." 1 Tim 4:10, 11.
* "Having made known unto us the mystery of His WILL,according to His GOOD PLEASURE which He hath PURPOSED in Himself:That in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might GATHER together in one ALL things in Christ,BOTH which are IN HEAVEN, and which are ON EARTH;even in Him." Eph.1:9,10
God has not moved. His heart has not changed,His creation and plan for all is on schedule.
At this time in history the knowledge of the heart of the Father for all His children to be born again and enter the eternal kingdom is once again being made known throughout the world.
God has not been thwarted in His desire to save all.Innumerable like the stars ,countable in a mathematical sense but beyond human ability to do so.What stumps man is possible for God.Those mistakenly "damned" by human judges to an eternity of suffering God redeems through the blood of the cross,.Jesus dying for their sins.In Christ all are to be made righteous .No one is overlooked for He is the Lamb without blemish who takes away the sin of the world.
Abraham by faith looked for a city whose builder and maker was God.
All will one day be given that same desire to enter the city of God the eternal Kingdom. Then they will praise and adore Jesus the Saviour of all by God given faith be born again and enter the place where God lives the "city " of God that abraham looked forward to.
The friend of God and all God's "friends" all together in harmony and peace
@barrychristianson Beautiful and inspiring: the works of God are mighty to behold in their glory :a glory as of the only begotten Son full of grace and truth who was with the Father from the beginning. The Spirit speaks expressly of the wonders of God only one God sovereign and all powerful all loving and gracious .Grace beyond human description.
Father Abraham, the "father of the faithful" received by grace the gift of faith the ability to believe.Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness. In due time in the order ,sequence and right circumstances all people will come to have a faith that is given to them by God.By grace are we saved and it is all God's doing. He calls the shots. Not one person is lost in an eternal sense for Christ has died and rose again for everyone. As Abraham God's friend so all.
I AM SIMPLY AMAZED AT HOW MINDLESS, PASSIVE, AND SUBMISSIVE PEOPLE LIKE THIS ARE; AND EVEN MORE, THE QUANTITY OF THOSE IN MODERN TIMES WHO FOLLOW AND ARE CLINCHED TO ANCIENT IGNORANCES OF APPOINTTING SOME ENTITY FOR SOMETHING THAT IS UNKNOWN AND DISCONCERTING. THERE IS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT EVIDENCE THAT UNVAILS THE FALLACIES OF THESE DECEPTIVE DOCTRINES. AND OF COURSE, THERE IS MUCH THAT ISN'T KNOWN BY MAN, BUT SAYING THAT SOMETHING IS "MAGIC" OPPOSED TO SEARCHING FOR OBJECTIVE TRUTH IS FOOLISH.
God of the Bible is the Great Saviour of ALL (1 Tim 4:10). He is not a great torturer of people in hell forever. Yes, God hates sin, but He loves all sinners & died for them. (1 John 2:2) He punishes but not forever. He has committed ALL to disobedience so that ALL may receive His mercy (Romans 11:32). The power of the finished work of Christ on the cross is such that ultimately ALL sinners without exception will be drawn to Christ in God’s time and order extending beyond this age (John 12:32).
You are not only quoting texts out of Scriputure improperly and out of context, but you are propagating a false doctrine as well.
2 Thessalonians clearly speaks of unbelievers suffering "eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord," and Jesus Himself spoke in Matthew 25 of "everlasting fire" prepared for the devil, his angels, and for wicked unbelievers.
Hell believing ‘Christians’ must wake up to the fact that hell is a pagan doctrine, embraced & christianised by the Roman Catholic Church. In 5th century Rome, Jerome mistranslated a few key original Hebrew and Greek words in the Latin Vulgate in support of the prevalent RC doctrine & hell appeared for the very first time in Scripture. The RC church reigned supreme with an iron fist from the 5th century for over a thousand years, and it ensured that the LV was the only Translation available.
@GodsPlanForAll Right on, I just dont get it why no one else gets it. The early church got it, great bible scholars get it, hundreds of people get it, I dont know why these fire and brimstone ranters dont. They will not get it till the white throne judgment.
The doctrine of hell became deeply entrenched as a true biblical doctrine into the psyche of the Christian World. The KJV and many other subsequent Bible Versions were greatly influenced by the Latin Vulgate, and they simply copied these translation errors. Thankfully, there are a few Literal Translations like YLT, which have no mention of hell. All Jewish Bibles like the Tanakh make no mention of hell in their Hebrew Scriptures. cont--While salvation was provided for all of humanity, sadly, allot of people (willfully) reject this free gift out of there own stubbornness in not turning to god in (repentance), which is what god requires. (John 3:16) makes it perfectly clear that (whosoever believes in him), will have eternal life, so, those who are within the (whosoever believes) category, will indeed have eternal life, so there is only a selected few (those who believe).
@sailing19100 (Only God can reveal the truth to each at his appointed time.)
God has already revealed his truth to us through his word (the bible). The bible specifically teaches that hell does indeed exist, whether you want to believe in it or not is up to you, but it doesn't change the reality of it.
@demondagger19 Jesus told the religous "You search the scriptures, and you think you find eternal life in them. But they testify of me, yet you will not come to me, thay you may have life". The bible teaches that sheol, gehenna, tartaroo, hades and the lake of fire exist. Consider why Jesus called Peter "blessed" in one breath and "Satan" in the next.
@sailing19100 First of all, the bible makes it perfectly clear that it is divinely inspired by God, and being without error, so whatever we do we must test all things through the scriptures as our final appeal, since it is Gods word. Secondly, the passage your quoting from (Matt ch 16) in context, is referring to him being for one (a stumbling block) between Gods plan of salvation through Christs death, which is why Jesus rebuked Peter.
@sailing19100 cont-- Secondly, in regards to your second quote from (Matt ch 16), the context of it is referring to Peters (Confession of faith) that Jesus Christ was the Messiah, which was due to his revelation from God, but, the context of it no where suggests that God (even in today's world), constantly reveals new revelation through supernatural means, why? because we already have scripture as that already revealed revelation from God.
@demondagger19 my response to your two part response. First, the only verse in scripture that is "perfectly clear" to all men is "Jesus wept.". Next, the reasons you gave for Jesus addressing Peter as Satan are different than the passage itself gives. Jesus told Peter why He addressed Peter as Satan. It has nothing to do with what Peter said about Jesus' death. Look a little closer.
@sailing19100 (Next, the reasons you gave for Jesus addressing Peter as Satan are different than the passage itself gives. Jesus told Peter why He addressed Peter as Satan. It has nothing to do with what Peter said about Jesus' death. Look a little closer.)
First off, I was referring to the (Context) of it which you clearly ignored, Peter was rebuked because he did in fact become a stumbling block by basically telling Jesus not to die on the cross
@demondagger19 you wrote me a two part reply. You still think that Jesus addressed Peter as Satan because Peter told Jesus "That won't happen.". That is not why Jesus addressed Peter as Satan. The reason Jesus addressed Peter as Satan is spelled out in ink on paper right there. You mention "context" but first you have to come to the point where you can repeat Jesus' own explanation. Jesus did not say "Because you have become a stumbling block.". He told Peter exactly why.
@sailing19100 (You mention "context" but first you have to come to the point where you can repeat Jesus' own explanation. Jesus did not say "Because you have become a stumbling block.". He told Peter exactly why.)
Question: Do you even know what the term (Stumbling block) means? I was simply using this term to show that Peter was a hindrance in the fact that he did not want Christ to die, even though Jesus was suppose to according to biblical prophecy (Zach 12:10, Ps 22). That's all I meant.
@demondagger19 "Do you even mean....?" I understand what you meant. Jesus' explanation to Peter for why Jesus' addressed Peter as Satan is only fifteen words or so in length. Will you type those words out in your next response, without quoting other scriptures, or not? I am not asking you to expound on anything or quote other scriptures. The specific reason is spelled out not only in Matthew but also the corresponding text in Mark. See if you can do it. You are obviously intelligent!
@sailing19100 (Jesus' explanation to Peter for why Jesus' addressed Peter as Satan is only fifteen words or so in length. Will you type those words out in your next response, without quoting other scriptures, or not?)
What's the sense in doing so? According to the context of both (Matt ch 16, Mark ch 8), it's quiet obvious as to what Jesus meant by his statement in regards to Peter, posting the text up, isn't going to make it anymore or less clearer.
@sailing19100 (Jesus' explanation to Peter for why Jesus' addressed Peter as Satan is only fifteen words or so in length. Will you type those words out in your next response, without quoting other scriptures, or not?)

@sailing19100 cont--Secondly, there's nothing wrong with comparing scripture, with scripture, why? because by doing so, we gain wide view of the scriptures themselves in regards to it's content and context, and therefore are able to gain a proper analysis of a specific chapter, so I'm not doing anything again Gods word.
@sailing19100 cont-- And a little piece of advise, if your going to quote the passage, then make sure you do it in context, secondly, stop trying to portray me as someone trying to add words to what's already written in the text, that's not what I was trying to do at all, all I was simply doing, was using an simple example to show or demonstrate the actions of a particular individual, that's it.
@demondagger19 Just a moment ago, I posted for the fourth time about the topic where we started; the Isaiah 33 passage. I'll pick up with you, if you like, after you give a simple answer by just repeating what is written there to the question that Isaiah 14:33 asks.....without your quoting other verses or offering commentary or bringing up other issues. The answer is found in the very next verse. Best wishes and blessings to you.
@sailing19100 (I'll pick up with you, if you like, after you give a simple answer by just repeating what is written there to the question that Isaiah 14:33 asks.....without your quoting other verses or offering commentary or bringing up other issues.)
Uh, you've seemed to have misquoted (Isa 14), there is no (vs 33) in this chapter for one thing. Secondly, I have no idea as to what topic you where referring to.
@sailing19100 cont--Further according to (Matt ch 16) further on in the same passage, Jesus was basically telling peter that he was looking at the crucifixion of Christ within a (Carnal) or (Natural sense) through his own human stand point, rather then Gods plan of salvation through Christ being lead to die on the cross, and it was because of that, that Peter was in fact a hindrance at that point, thus a stumbling block in the process, that's the context of the passage.
@sailing19100 And it's interesting that you say (The bible teaches that sheol, gehenna, tartaroo, hades and the lake of fire exist.), yet you clearly deny that hell is even a real place according to scriptures, and yet, these are the very same descriptions that describe hell, whether it be metaphorically or literally, the important thing is knowing the (Context) in which these descriptions are being used, that is how we gain a proper understanding of these descriptions.
@demondagger19 demondragger19: you are in error. You write "you clearly deny" after I affirmed positively that they do exist. What I was trying to show you is that all of the Hebrew and Greek words under the transliterations "sheol, gehenna, tartaroo, and hades" are translated as "hell" in some translations. To put it another way (according to your language), I admit plainly that the bible does in fact teach that hell does exist. The question becomes then, "What is hell?"
@sailing19100 (I admit plainly that the bible does in fact teach that hell does exist. The question becomes then, "What is hell?")
What does the bible describe hell to be? Scripture plainly and most aquatically describes hell as a place of eternal punishment to put it simply (see Matt ch 25, Mark ch 9).
@sailing19100 ("Scrip[ture plainly...." what does "eternal" mean?)
The word (eternal) means (everlasting) or (on going), simply put, it's a specific something that never ends and never stops, it's timelessness. Why do you ask?
This is complete heresy at it's best, the bible does in fact teach that hell is a literal place for those who (willingly) reject the free gift that god has provided through Jesus Christ's death on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, those who reject this free gift, are in fact condemned (John 3:18, 3:36). But, forgiveness of sins will be granted (to those who will place there trust in Jesus Christ for salvation), to say that hell isn't a biblical teaching, is in fact heresy.
43: And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
43And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
43And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 44Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched
yet you have nothing better to do than comment on literally every single video down the suggestions list. you really have nothing better to do than enlighten us all, do you?
1Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Jesus Christ himself repeatedly spoke of Hell, almost more than any other prophet. The Bible predates the Roman Catholic Church, and is the source of all truth.
If Hell does not exist, why did Jesus need to die for our sins? Surely if hell were not real there would be no need for Jesus.
@theirishneilers By your own admission,Hell does exist and Jesus NEEDED to DIE for OUR sins. Why do people still NEED to go to hell when Jesus HAS DONE it for THEM already? If somebody,in this case Jesus, has paid the penalty for someone else's DEATH penalty already, why would the accused have to die, when Jesus has done that for him already? Even if the accused were to experience this 'HELL' (second death), the accused will come out FREE after DEATH +HELL are ABOLISHED!!! Read 1 Cor. 15 + Rev.20
Mark 16v16 "He who has believed and has been baptised shall be saved, but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned"
Acts 16v31: "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved"
Prov 16v25 "There is a way that seems right to a man, but at its end is death"
Rom 10:9-10"because,if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth confesses and is saved"
@theirishneilers "My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation." All flesh will be consumed in the fire! The joy is to finally understand the nature of that fire.
@theirishneilers Judgment fire does exist, it purifies. Jesus died for our sins because God's holiness requires justice. Even a human judge realizes that a serious offender cannot be let off without punishment, how much more the Holy God? Consider what Paul may have meant when he said "In my body I fill up what was lacking in the sufferings of Christ".
So Jesus gave his life for no reason? he wanted to save our souls from what? if we all will live happily ever after (sinner and not sinner) what is the point of trying to be good says my teen-ager daughter and that makes you think. God is a just and jelous God, he gave us freedon to choose his love or not but will have consequences, either Him or the devil, so you dont believe in the devil either? where does he dwells with Godd our Lord? Where Lazarus went, just a story? It is just our God.
@GodsPlanForAll God is not external to the self - otherwise "All that is" would not be "All that is" you as a person of the light like myself must allow through unconditional love allll oppinions allll beliefs, each is valid each is beautiful, each plays a part otherwise "All that is" would not be "All that is" (the universe) without those oppinions - your definition of "good news" may not be the same as someone elses definition of "good news" again Perception is everything
Possitive and Negative are only your definition and what you define or percieve to be possitive or negative - everything in life is fundamentally neutral until you percieve it to be possitive or negative - where christians and catholics go wrong - there are 26 different versions of the bible for a reason it's been manipulated over time and only about 30% of it is actually true, yes Jesus is a ascended master - here christians get confused and stuck is where they put Duality (heaven/hell) concept
brainwashing fools never prosper in the end!! they just think they do..If you want to live in the past at least make it about something tangible..look it up,you ever notice how religious stuff contains nothing technical,so you dont have to use your mind too much?? Like cinderella or something.
The doctrine of universal salvation is a deception and lie straight from Satan.
It gives all unbelievers the false assurance that they do not need to accept or receive Jesus and those who do believe the false notion that they can lapse into sin without fear of any eternal consequences.
@Indigohue On the contrary, Perfect love casts out fear, and those who realize the magnitude of God's love run to him and crucify the flesh not out of some pavlovian carrot and stick response, but to thirst after being more like him.
@Indigohue "both soul and body" . thank you for responding to me. I think you have made a mistake. Soul and body are both flesh. Each wars against the Spirit. "For our rejoicing is this..., not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward." And: "Let no man beguile you .... intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind. Blessings to you.
@GodsPlanForAll 'as history confirms' ? no wonder, this is all wrong. there is a hell, it says it all over the bible. hell is biblical, in fact it says in the bible 'just as all heaven will break loose, so will all hell' .
I believe there is a god and a devil. in the bible it says that there is a devil, if there is a devil you can't say he's living on earth - he's living in hell. if there was just a god, that means that all evil things were created by god , which is simply not true.
@Passionofawriter There is judgment by fire of all flesh. The words described as hell in the King James, for example, are Gehenna, hades and tartaroos. They each have a specific meaning. Then there is the lake of fire. They all exist, but the distinction is that they are only age-enduring, and they are not endless. They do serve a purpose in God's plan for mankind.
@sailing19100 Exactly, but those who sincerely believe in hell dwell not in love, but in the spirit of revenge on their enemies. They want to think that God loves them more than others, which just exults them in pride, and is strictly condemned in the scriptures. What people fail to see is that everyone being saved in no way means that Jesus is not the savior, but the unchallenged all powerful perfect savior.
@sailing19100 Plus many assume Universalism gives people permission to sin. Yet what they dont understand is God hates sin because of the way it hurts us. Not just because he is some nitpicky pharisee. What they fail to see is that Universalists believe that all sin will be irradicated through judgment. So yes, all of our sins will in fact meet judgment, and we will endure chastisements all for remedial purposes.
@sailing19100 However the Christians today say we take sin too lightly, but the Christians are really the ones who take sin lightly. The traditionalists knew that it was virtually impossible to avoid sin, but they also believed that every sin merits eternal punishment. So many devised these easy means for salvation, like the sinners prayer, rosaries, last rites, choosing the right beliefs, accepting Jesus as your personal savior. Do they really think that those things are going to pardon them
Revelation 21.A beautiful account of the future for all creation. No more suffering, no more unrighteousness.Yes true peace and happiness because we have a God who loves us.He made us and knows every individual.God's works are perfect to the minutest detail and He will accomplish all He sets out to do. Read David and Zoe's book with your bible, open your heart and see if God is calling you to spiritual rest in the arms of Jesus our God and the Saviour of all.
Purification? Yes nothing impure shall ever enter the eternal kingdom. It is a kingdom where righteousness dwells. All enter by the blood of the cross..the only way to salvation..Jesus a mighty Saviour. God is not fooled by mantra's nor do our works earn salvation. It is all of God and His great love in Christ.Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.Judgement = correction not condemnation or damnation as hell believers misunderstand.
wow.... it is so interesting how people like to pick and choose what sounds "good" to them. The point of the Bible, God's Word to humanity, is to point us to God SO THAT we may be saved. Yes, it is God's will that we all be saved but he also, in the beginning, gave us FREEWILL so that we may choose life or death. Christ died for us to wash us of our sins so that we MAY live for eternity with him IF we live a life for him, living by the Sprit not by our Sinful nature.
Judgement yes.Things have to be faced. For some {most?} this entails the Lake Of Fire {the waves or waters of purification to get us to face up to things and turn in God given repentance to The Saviour for forgiveness through the blood of the cross. It is all about true repentance and His wooing us through Christ.Eventually all will be humbled before the judgement seat of Christ. and enter the eternal kingdom.
well i wish it was true! but I am sorry for you two in the video Jesus did taught about hell. Even if we want to accept it or not, this truth doesn't change. You don't have to accept it, but it will still be there...I pray that the God all mighty will save us all from hell into the eternal life!
Hell Believers do not believe numerous clear Scriptures such as Col 1:15-20, John 4:42, 12:32, 1 John 2:2, 1 Tim 2:3-6, 4:10, Isai 25:27, 45:22-25, 1 Cor 15:22, Phil 2:9-11, Rev 5:13, 21:1-6 and Rom 5:18-19, 11:32. It is very sad that these ‘Christians’ do not take these scriptures literally. They prefer to believe in a pagan concept of a god who tortures most of humanity in hell forever rather than to believe the Bible Truth that God is the Saviour of the World & will save ALL in God's time.
@davidsulem Because they have no love on their heart, and need the scriptures to justify their hate. Remember, you become the god you worship. If you worship this evil deity, thats what you become.
@kornRstone thanks a lot man, pray God keeps raisin ppl up who are willin to seek His will above their own. seems like Jude 1:4 is just playin out in front of us, another excuse for sinners to encourage others to sin in the light of God's obvious justice. 2 Pet 3:16-17 makes it clear that yh we got hold to the truth amen to that, regardless of what unstable individuals try to do with the scriptures
@kornRstone fam, its great ur tryin with these guys but i genuinely think theyve been perpetually hardened to the truth. just gona have to pray on it, accordin to them every reference to hell in the old or new testament is a misstranslation :S not much u can say to convince some ppl
@e7c7o7 I don't find any references to hell in the old testament.....are there any? There is sheol, and there is certainly a promise of judgment of all flesh by fire. Is there anything else?
@sailing19100 i wud refer to Isaiah 66:24 wich shows that not everyone is goin to inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:21). There aren't many references to heaven but u seem to believe in that. Sheol - underworld, (place descended to upon death), Hades, grave, hell, pit etc. And what you found is what ppl call hell, God never describes the fire as merely correcting, its punishment, the punishment that we all desire for our sins
@e7c7o7 well here is what I see in Isa. 66 and Gal 5 in a nutshell. The problem is we see flesh as meaning flesh and bones. I believe that is the carnal interpretation of the passages. Flesh is the carnal mind of man. I do not see what you see in scripture that fire is punishment. It is chastizement. David described it as a mercy. About "heaven", it is just the state of being after mortality puts on immortality, corruption incorruption. This is "endless life", not "eternal life".
@sailing19100 the problem is that ur taking a very abstract view of the word of God, that God doesnt give us. A lot of times the apostle John says that Jesus came in the flesh (1jn 4:10, 2jn 1:7) which means His literal body. Jesus' teachings on hell as being a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth and eternal punishment is what forms the orthodox doctrine of hell (Matt 25:46). We have to look at how God describes it rather than what we see, if we went by our thoughts the word wud make no sense
Actually, Jesus referred to the punishments as Chastisements. Chastisements are corrective. Plus, Jesus spoke about salvation from hell in parables. Remember, in the parable about the king and the prisoner. The king showed the servant mercy, the servant did not show mercy. So he was imprisoned, and would get out when he payed the last penny. Universal Salvation is such and obvious doctrine that you end up spitting on the scriptures to believe in everlasting punishment.
@judaemic we have to believe all of God's word, we can't just run to the nice sounding passages to gain what we want to hear out of them. universal salvation isnt an obvious doctrine and it isnt biblical, if sinners dont repent they will perish, the bible doesnt describe a corrective element to punishment, u do. salvation is being saved from the punishment u and i deserve, its not being saved from correction. US is a heresy and always has been, and still is
And I do believe it all, but some people never learn in favor of such damnable heresies as eternal punishment, which nowhere in scripture says we deserve, in the original Greek and Hebrew, but a mere teaching of Satan himself. No ones self righteous sick ego is going to make God the savior of but a few.
@judaemic God makes the case for evry1 being deserving of punishment in Romans 1,2 and 3. eternal punishment in hell is historic christianity no one can dispute that, trying to suggest that every1s completely mistranslated the Bible and therefore dont understand ur doctrine is just silly. God isnt a saviour in ur opinion bcos He hasnt saved any1 from anything, and God being a saviour of only a few goes bk to Noah and the ark and Lot and his family.
e7c7o7 Im done arguing with you. Romans 1,2&3 do not teach that, doctrine, nor make any case. And just because it was taught in historic christianity means nothing. Plus the early church fathers believed in US, who lived in Jesus time, unlike your damnable heresies. That gospel is a lie and totally perverted on true justice. The holy spirit specifically showed me this clear truth, and I am following the Holy spirit, not you, so please stay away from all universalist videos. thanks
@judaemic well its Jesus who taught most of what we know about everlasting punishment (Matt 25:46) so ur belief doesnt go to apostolic times. so u think ppl decided to invent the doctrine of hell? ppl have always been trying to deny it. how do u know the spirit revealed that to u? we're commanded to test evry spirit (1 jn 5:1). wat if some1 comes and says that Spirit revealed to them that hell is punishment foreva, dont we have to go the word to find out and not rely on what we personally see?
Hey, if I got someone to write a book about me saying that I was the saviour, would it be true? No. The bible makes claims with no evidence.
Regardless, if there is a God, he doesn't care what religion you are in.
If religion is so special, then why has it killed people and tortured people for not believing? Pioneers did this, and have you heard about the crusades?!
@ZeoDyce Religions don't kill people. Carnal flesh is what does evil. The worst kind of carnality is religious carnality, because it perpetrates evil while believing it is doing a service to God. In the gospels of Jesus Christ, many of the words of Jesus reveal exactly this truth. If you have a bible, may I suggest reading John chapter 8 to see one such example.
@ZeoDyce " For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: "
An interesting thought to me was when you said One man Adam brought Sin to All Mankind, in the same way One man Jesus brings All men to Salvation by paying Sins penality Death. Jesus was the perfect Sinless sacrafice. The Big condition to this is that we need to accept this for ourselves, because we have a free will, if we don't accept forgiveness, the death penality remains(Perish, extinction, destruction) in Gods Eternal fire which consumes us.
Will not All Evil be destroyed in Gods Judgement?
@gailsteve Yes, all evil will be destroyed in God's judgment! Consider what the apostle James said to other believers: "Brothers, let there not be many masters among us, because we know that masters will receive the greater condemnation".
If we have free will, it is of course limited by God's sovereign boundaries. If you willed it, could you live to be 200?
if what you say is true how is murder bad if it just deends people to heaven, and if he is for mankind why the fuck does he keep killing people in the bible seriously out of the bible god has a k/d ratio of over 2 million people while he only has a betrayal kill of his son which just goes back to him when he dies, its not a sacrifice at all.
@megabeaver23 Murder is wrong because man is made in the image of God. This law is introduced even way back in the book of Genesis. "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. "
All Christians are deluded into believing that there is a God and that other Christian delusion, that so called "jesus" was the son of God! There is not much "truth" in the Bible.God planned the torture and execution of his son.....what kind of god is that?

How we need to hear what God is saying to us.

@barrychristianson

@barrychristianson
You are now attempting to dissect and explain divine omniscience. It cannot be done. Yes, it is clear God knows the end from the beginning, and it is clear God has always known who will be saved verses who will be lost. Jude speaks of those who were "foreordained unto condemnation." Ephesians speaks of those "chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world." Christ spoke in John 10 of those the Father had given Him, etc.
peterpulpitpounder 11 months ago
@barrychristianson

The King James was it.
barrychristianson 11 months ago
@barrychristianson

@peterpulpitpounder Jesus is indeed the Saviour of the whole world1John 2:2-4 COL 1:19-201PEt 1:20 1Tim 4:8-10.
To those who do not believe in this lifetime they will in an age to come The Great White Throne Judgement age or also known as the Lake of Fire. Its judgement is corrective and will not go on forever.
barrychristianson 11 months ago
And about Christs supremacy. Judgment brings redemption. So every knee shall be judged not forcibly, but out of true humility in the original greek. Lets see what else. Everlasting is another mistranslation of Aion which means an indefinite period of time. Destruction once again is a process of salvation, as in destruction of your old nature. Not eternal fires as some claim. Furnace also described Egypt as as period of refinement.

@judaemic

Do the wicked get some kind of exclusive salvation?
potooth 11 months ago
@potooth
The Bible is quite clear on this matter, totally dismantling the notion of universalism.
peterpulpitpounder 11 months ago

Sad b true.

EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD AND THE GLORY OF HIS POWER.
Um, that's in the Bible, and it's a very good translation of the text.
AND SHALL BE CAST INTO A FURNACE OF FIRE.
Um, that's in the bible also.
The universal salvation of all men is right out of the devil's handbook of theology.
WIDE IS THE PATHWAY WHICH LEADS TO DESTRUCTION.
Yup, that's in the Bible too.

Yes, all men will be resurrected and shall be judged by Jesus Christ, but one resurrection is unto life, the other is unto damnation (John 5:29).
peterpulpitpounder 11 months ago
@judaemic
14:11-12). In fact, Paul went on to speak of the "enemies" of the Cross, whose "end" would be destruction (not salvation).
peterpulpitpounder 11 months ago
@peterpulpitpounder Well the bible also says that only by the HOLY SPIRIT can one confess Jesus as lord. But Im not gonna argue with some narrow minded fundie. Just remember, you started it. If you would have just minded your own business and not gone off commenting my post with your ignorant hogwash, we wouldnt be having this problem. As it is, you seem to have an obsession with trying to force your satanic lies on others. And I would respect your beliefs, but you arent respecting others
judaemic 11 months ago
@judaemic

Christian Universalists are the only deeply biblical believing Christians who have excellent fruits. The Christians who arent so bible trusting are more Christlike, but need more faith in the scriptures. Those who claim that they follow the bible the greatest are more like the Pharisees than Jesus, and not wonder so many people hate the bible when these loveless hypocrits try and portray Christ.
judaemic 1 year ago
Oh, I'll explain that Jesus used AION, which means AGE. Do some non-biased research. Aion does not mean age, Aidian and aleutosis meant eternity, not Aion. What Jesus spoke of was Gehenna, which is not hell, but what the JEWS of that TIME understood to mean a symbol of PURIFICATION, not ETERNAL DAMNATION. FYI Judgment was not seen as fun, despite only temporary. But I gave up on traditional Churches long ago, and the spirit revealed UR to me, and accepting hell means your loveless or afraid
judaemic 1 year ago
@judaemic

Can you repeat the answer?
sailing19100 1 year ago
@kornRstone before going onto Ephesians: You said "I asked4scriptures. Isa33 tellsMe the rightous willNotDwell n fire." I replied that the passage said the exact opposite of what you wrote. I am not trying to be offensive, but you have to go back to Isaiah 33 again until you see what it says. It says the opposite of what you wrote. I should ask you, if you cannot see that you misread it, what translation/version are you using. But I checked four versions, and they all say the same.
sailing19100 1 year ago
@kornRstone Read Isaiah 33 again. It says the opposite of what you say it says.
If I may suggest a way to think of it, you still see some men as sinners and some men as saints, and have not considered that "For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God."
sailing19100 1 year ago
@kornRstone There is no difference among men. All are flesh, and all flesh will be consumed. Hell and death are destroyed. What does that leave but purified sons of God, for which the entire creation groans in waiting. The overcomers are merely the firstfruits! If you enjoy studying scripture (it appears that you do), may I suggest Isaiah 33 against Obadiah. And then, go through the seven churches of Rev. 2 and 3, and make a list on paper of what is given to those who overcome.

But they testify of me, yet you will not come to me, thay you may have life". sailing19100 1 year ago

@sailing19100 cont-- Secondly, in regards to your second quote from (Matt ch 16), the context of it is referring to Peters (Confession of faith) that Jesus Christ was the Messiah, which was due to his revelation from God, but, the context of it no where suggests that God (even in today's world), constantly reveals new revelation through supernatural means, why? because we already have scripture as that already revealed revelation from God.
demondagger19 1 year ago
@demondagger19 my response to your two part response. First, the only verse in scripture that is "perfectly clear" to all men is "Jesus wept.". Next, the reasons you gave for Jesus addressing Peter as Satan are different than the passage itself gives. Jesus told Peter why He addressed Peter as Satan. It has nothing to do with what Peter said about Jesus' death. Look a little closer.

@sailing19100 And it's interesting that you say (The bible teaches that sheol, gehenna, tartaroo, hades and the lake of fire exist.), yet you clearly deny that hell is even a real place according to scriptures, and yet, these are the very same descriptions that describe hell, whether it be metaphorically or literally, the important thing is knowing the (Context) in which these descriptions are being used, that is how we gain a proper understanding of these descriptions.
demondagger19 1 year ago
@demondagger19 demondragger19: you are in error. You write "you clearly deny" after I affirmed positively that they do exist. What I was trying to show you is that all of the Hebrew and Greek words under the transliterations "sheol, gehenna, tartaroo, and hades" are translated as "hell" in some translations. To put it another way (according to your language), I admit plainly that the bible does in fact teach that hell does exist. The question becomes then, "What is hell?"
sailing19100 1 year ago
@sailing19100 (I admit plainly that the bible does in fact teach that hell does exist. The question becomes then, "What is hell?")
What does the bible describe hell to be? Scripture plainly and most aquatically describes hell as a place of eternal punishment to put it simply (see Matt ch 25, Mark ch 9).

demondagger19 1 year ago
This is complete heresy at it's best, the bible does in fact teach that hell is a literal place for those who (willingly) reject the free gift that god has provided through Jesus Christ's death on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, those who reject this free gift, are in fact condemned (John 3:18, 3:36). But, forgiveness of sins will be granted (to those who will place there trust in Jesus Christ for salvation), to say that hell isn't a biblical teaching, is in fact heresy.

Jesus Christ himself repeatedly spoke of Hell, almost more than any other prophet. The Bible predates the Roman Catholic Church, and is the source of all truth.
If Hell does not exist, why did Jesus need to die for our sins? Surely if hell were not real there would be no need for Jesus.
theirishneilers 1 year ago

The joy is to finally understand the nature of that fire.
sailing19100 1 year ago

The doctrine of universal salvation is a deception and lie straight from Satan.
It gives all unbelievers the false assurance that they do not need to accept or receive Jesus and those who do believe the false notion that they can lapse into sin without fear of any eternal consequences.
Indigohue 1 year ago
@Indigohue On the contrary, Perfect love casts out fear, and those who realize the magnitude of God's love run to him and crucify the flesh not out of some pavlovian carrot and stick response, but to thirst after being more like him.

@sailing19100
Perhaps you are forgetting some scriptures.
Ephesians 5:21 submitting to one another in the FEAR of God
Matthew 10:28
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather FEAR Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Proverbs 9:10 "The FEAR of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.
You are just a mere mortal., I believe the word of God and believe Him when He says the wicked will be separated from Him forever!
Indigohue 1 year ago
@Indigohue "both soul and body" . thank you for responding to me. I think you have made a mistake. Soul and body are both flesh. Each wars against the Spirit. "For our rejoicing is this..., not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward." And: "Let no man beguile you .... intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind. Blessings to you.

@sailing19100
You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.
Nahum1:3. The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will NOT AT ALL acquit the wicked
Sorry, but I believe Universalism is a dangerous deception. It negates the sense of urgency to repent and come to Christ in the here and now.
That and only that which saves from sin is true; all else is false and ruinous.
Blessings

@GodsPlanForAll 'as history confirms' ? no wonder, this is all wrong. there is a hell, it says it all over the bible. hell is biblical, in fact it says in the bible 'just as all heaven will break loose, so will all hell' .
I believe there is a god and a devil. in the bible it says that there is a devil, if there is a devil you can't say he's living on earth - he's living in hell. if there was just a god, that means that all evil things were created by god , which is simply not true.
Passionofawriter 1 year ago
@Passionofawriter There is judgment by fire of all flesh. The words described as hell in the King James, for example, are Gehenna, hades and tartaroos. They each have a specific meaning. Then there is the lake of fire. They all exist, but the distinction is that they are only age-enduring, and they are not endless. They do serve a purpose in God's plan for mankind.
sailing19100 1 year ago
@sailing19100 Exactly, but those who sincerely believe in hell dwell not in love, but in the spirit of revenge on their enemies. They want to think that God loves them more than others, which just exults them in pride, and is strictly condemned in the scriptures. What people fail to see is that everyone being saved in no way means that Jesus is not the savior, but the unchallenged all powerful perfect savior.
judaemic 1 year ago
@sailing19100 Plus many assume Universalism gives people permission to sin. Yet what they dont understand is God hates sin because of the way it hurts us. Not just because he is some nitpicky pharisee. What they fail to see is that Universalists believe that all sin will be irradicated through judgment. So yes, all of our sins will in fact meet judgment, and we will endure chastisements all for remedial purposes.
judaemic 1 year ago
@sailing19100 However the Christians today say we take sin too lightly, but the Christians are really the ones who take sin lightly. The traditionalists knew that it was virtually impossible to avoid sin, but they also believed that every sin merits eternal punishment. So many devised these easy means for salvation, like the sinners prayer, rosaries, last rites, choosing the right beliefs, accepting Jesus as your personal savior. Do they really think that those things are going to pardon them

Purification? Yes nothing impure shall ever enter the eternal kingdom. It is a kingdom where righteousness dwells. All enter by the blood of the cross..the only way to salvation..Jesus a mighty Saviour. God is not fooled by mantra's nor do our works earn salvation. It is all of God and His great love in Christ.Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.Judgement = correction not condemnation or damnation as hell believers misunderstand.
barrychristianson 1 year ago
wow.... it is so interesting how people like to pick and choose what sounds "good" to them.
Read the WHOLE bible.
haileym42 1 year ago
Judgement yes.Things have to be faced. For some {most?} this entails the Lake Of Fire {the waves or waters of purification to get us to face up to things and turn in God given repentance to The Saviour for forgiveness through the blood of the cross. It is all about true repentance and His wooing us through Christ.Eventually all will be humbled before the judgement seat of Christ. and enter the eternal kingdom.

They prefer to believe in a pagan concept of a god who tortures most of humanity in hell forever rather than to believe the Bible Truth that God is the Saviour of the World & will save ALL in God's time.
davidsulem 1 year ago
@davidsulem Because they have no love on their heart, and need the scriptures to justify their hate. Remember, you become the god you worship. If you worship this evil deity, thats what you become.

e7c7o7 1 year ago
@e7c7o7 I don't find any references to hell in the old testament.....are there any? There is sheol, and there is certainly a promise of judgment of all flesh by fire. Is there anything else?
sailing19100 1 year ago
@sailing19100 i wud refer to Isaiah 66:24 wich shows that not everyone is goin to inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:21). There aren't many references to heaven but u seem to believe in that. Sheol - underworld, (place descended to upon death), Hades, grave, hell, pit etc. And what you found is what ppl call hell, God never describes the fire as merely correcting, its punishment, the punishment that we all desire for our sins
e7c7o7 1 year ago
@e7c7o7 well here is what I see in Isa. 66 and Gal 5 in a nutshell. The problem is we see flesh as meaning flesh and bones. I believe that is the carnal interpretation of the passages. Flesh is the carnal mind of man. I do not see what you see in scripture that fire is punishment. It is chastizement. David described it as a mercy. About "heaven", it is just the state of being after mortality puts on immortality, corruption incorruption. This is "endless life", not "eternal life".
sailing19100 1 year ago
@sailing19100 the problem is that ur taking a very abstract view of the word of God, that God doesnt give us. A lot of times the apostle John says that Jesus came in the flesh (1jn 4:10, 2jn 1:7) which means His literal body. Jesus' teachings on hell as being a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth and eternal punishment is what forms the orthodox doctrine of hell (Matt 25:46). We have to look at how God describes it rather than what we see, if we went by our thoughts the word wud make no sense
e7c7o7 1 year ago
@e.7c7o7
Universal Salvation is such and obvious doctrine that you end up spitting on the scriptures to believe in everlasting punishment.
judaemic 1 year ago
@judaemic we have to believe all of God's word, we can't just run to the nice sounding passages to gain what we want to hear out of them. universal salvation isnt an obvious doctrine and it isnt biblical, if sinners dont repent they will perish, the bible doesnt describe a corrective element to punishment, u do. salvation is being saved from the punishment u and i deserve, its not being saved from correction. US is a heresy and always has been, and still is
e7c7o7 1 year ago
And I do believe it all, but some people never learn in favor of such damnable heresies as eternal punishment, which nowhere in scripture says we deserve, in the original Greek and Hebrew, but a mere teaching of Satan himself. No ones self righteous sick ego is going to make God the savior of but a few.
judaemic 1 year ago
@judaemic God makes the case for evry1 being deserving of punishment in Romans 1,2 and 3. eternal punishment in hell is historic christianity no one can dispute that, trying to suggest that every1s completely mistranslated the Bible and therefore dont understand ur doctrine is just silly. God isnt a saviour in ur opinion bcos He hasnt saved any1 from anything, and God being a saviour of only a few goes bk to Noah and the ark and Lot and his family.
e7c7o7 1 year ago
e7c7o7 Im done arguing with you. The holy spirit specifically showed me this clear truth, and I am following the Holy spirit, not you, so please stay away from all universalist videos. thanks
judaemic 1 year ago
@judaemic well its Jesus who taught most of what we know about everlasting punishment (Matt 25:46) so ur belief doesnt go to apostolic times. so u think ppl decided to invent the doctrine of hell? ppl have always been trying to deny it. how do u know the spirit revealed that to u? we're commanded to test evry spirit (1 jn 5:1). wat if some1 comes and says that Spirit revealed to them that hell is punishment foreva, dont we have to go the word to find out and not rely on what we personally see?
e7c7o7 1 year ago
Hey, if I got someone to write a book about me saying that I was the saviour, would it be true? No. The bible makes claims with no evidence.
Regardless, if there is a God, he doesn't care what religion you are in.
If religion is so special, then why has it killed people and tortured people for not believing? Pioneers did this, and have you heard about the crusades?!
Religion is a joke.
ZeoDyce 1 year ago
@ZeoDyce Religions don't kill people. Carnal flesh is what does evil. The worst kind of carnality is religious carnality, because it perpetrates evil while believing it is doing a service to God. In the gospels of Jesus Christ, many of the words of Jesus reveal exactly this truth. If you have a bible, may I suggest reading John chapter 8 to see one such example.
sailing19100 1 year ago
@ZeoDyce " For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: "
sailing19100 1 year ago
An interesting thought to me was when you said One man Adam brought Sin to All Mankind, in the same way One man Jesus brings All men to Salvation by paying Sins penality Death. Jesus was the perfect Sinless sacrafice. The Big condition to this is that we need to accept this for ourselves, because we have a free will, if we don't accept forgiveness, the death penality remains(Perish, extinction, destruction) in Gods Eternal fire which consumes us.
Will not All Evil be destroyed in Gods Judgement?
gailsteve 1 year ago
@gailsteve Yes, all evil will be destroyed in God's judgment! Consider what the apostle James said to other believers: "Brothers, let there not be many masters among us, because we know that masters will receive the greater condemnation".
If we have free will, it is of course limited by God's sovereign boundaries. If you willed it, could you live to be 200?
