Well, that's speculative really; Let me ask you, have you watched Tariq Ali's lecture 'Empire, War and Resistance' at all? I have and in it (Chomsy discusses this too, though I've never found him go into detail on it) Ali discusses how the *worst* Pakistani Dictators who radically islamized Pakistani Society were *all* supported by the U.S and bolstered by them.

It's much bigger than what you make it out to be, this is a Societal problem that goes back Decades.

Meanwhile, around the same time his own country was being divided in two and his own army killed almost a million people in East Pakistan ( now Bangladesh). Dont you find it strange that an intellectual would work harder at charging US for war crimes for killing Vietnam civilians than the army wch killed his own brother citizens. I find it very strange.
