  • Wow this has so much false stuff that its ridiculous. I didnt donate and i wasnt threatened to burn in hell.

  • 14:44 All the morons, um I mean Mormons <--What's the difference

  • nice and cool movie..watched 3 times in webmovietube

  • The Book of Mormon is full of racism against Native Americans, Jews, and Blacks.

  • this is for the stupid reporters. The reason why we baptize the dead is so that those who didn't have a chance to learn about the Mormon Church will go to heaven.

  • @expertstrategy You must be confused. There is no mention of baptisms for the dead in this video.

  • @NavajoJoe66, maybe, or I just heard wrong.

  • Jonathan Kim doesn't even know what he's talking about. We don't hate gays or lesbians, but we hate the idea of gay marriage, because it perverts the definition of marriage.

  • @expertstrategy How exactly does same-sex marriage "pervert" heterosexual marriage?

Don't just make assertions. Support them.

  • Mormons ought to be ashamed of themselves.

  • @NavajoJoe66, well we Mormons are not ashamed of anything. We did what was necessary to ban a sinful thing.

  • @expertstrategy "Sinful"?

Surely you are aware that the scientific consensus regarding sexual orientation is that it is not a choice and that it cannot be changed?

So, how exactly can someone's very nature be "sinful"? You might as well be calling someone "sinful" by their skin color (as your church once did) or by their left-handedness. It doesn't make sense.

Please do yourself a favor and educate yourself on the subject of sexual orientation.

  • If they were talking about Orthodox Jews, people would be calling them anti-semitic, despite the fact that Orthodox Jews also don't believe in gay marriage. Most people don't support gay marriage, they just want to escape having an "intolerant" label stuck to their back, and if it means they can attack the "odd minority religion", so be it.

  • @Nonamearisto But Orthodox Jews didn't lead the way in funding Prop 8 with dishonest propaganda. That's the difference. The LDS church deserves all the criticism it gets.

  • i have found a website webmovietube to watch movies for free..njoy

  • No one is forcing any church to marry anyone. Churches are religious institutions are are exempt from being a ''public accommodation''. Federal Law.

  • Wow, they could've used that money to feed the poor, nurture the needy...

LOL epic evidence of who they truly are.

  • @SidheRockz The Mormon church donates more money each year to feed the poor, nurture the needy, and help in disaster relief then the amount that they put into Prop 8.

  • @kellywompers Good. That's just basic human decency. Am I supposed to be impressed?

  • @kellywompers That's like saying "But we only shot one good guy!"

  • this movie is awesome..going to watch this in webmovietube

  • Liberal Democrats dont have minds like those of religious people. Liberal Democrats don't hate since they're not religiously indoctrinated. Liberal Democrats have compassion for the victims of unjust discrimination. Liberal Democrats are independent, free, critical thinkers who are not bamboozled by fascist organizations. Liberal Democrats are Black, Brown, White, Male, Female, Straight & Gay. Liberal Democrats politically own Ca & are so bichin that they vote gay marriage into legal status

  • But 2% of the Ca population are stupid, retarded robots. Imagine if they were only 1%, they'd never get any retarded thing accomplished

  • this is great !! going to watch this in webmovietube

  • @Angeleer8 we do not still believe in poligamy. we did along time ago because there were not enough men for the women but the women still needed husbands to help support them but that was for a short time and we don't still believe in it!

  • Galileo was socially slaughtered for believing that the Earth revolved around the Sun. I'm agnostic and I try to respect religion as much as possible, but as a firm believer that religion is a method of human interpretation, I believe that religious beliefs are not set in stone. I just hope religious people will learn not to cause hate or discrimination through their beliefs and accept open-mindedness.

  • others in my church, but don't think this was a good move, God loves us all equally so i've always been opposed to discrimination in all its forms.

  • but i was always opposed to proposition 8, my beliefs regarding homosexuality and being my brother's gay have helped be to see it doesn't seem right to deny these people the same rights and priviledges that everyone else had, and i as believe the late Gordon B. Hinkley, president of the church had a non discriminatory stance on homosexuality. I believe that God and Jesus look at the character of a person not their skin colour and sexual orientation. Maybe it's because i'm not as fervent as

  • Being a member of the LDS church, mormons whatever takes your fancy i never really understood the neec to be so involved in the government, as far as i see it, religion should stay out of politics and vice versa. That maybe naivete being Mitt Romney was a presidental candidate and Glenn Beck is a political commentator, but i just think the separation of church and state is there for a reason. Being from Australia, i don't know maybe our division of the church is more mellow than in the u.s

  • so not true...im used to be morman...they do NOT suppert polygamny..... fuck you all ...all this is bullshit quit bashing mormans....dont talk shit unless your a morman...all these claims are all fucking stupid and not true.

  • so not true...im used to be morman...they do NOT suppert polygamny..... fuck you all

  • The Garden of Eden is in Missouri?

How did they develop that stance/theory?

  • It's a good thing prop 8 was passed, otherwise I wouldn't be able to be entertained by these wannabe reporters hahaha There's a reason why we got so much money- The Lord blessed us with it!!!

  • BAHAHAHAHA! These guys are so ignorant! I love it. No wonder they have so few views. You guys must be making the big bucks with this youtube channel huh?

  • @sheepbabies Don't you read your standard works? Polygamy is an active doctrine of the Mormon Church. Check out Doctrine and Covenants, section 132. You Mormons do believe in polygamy, you just can't practice it, because its currently against statutory law.

  • Religion is the biggest mindfuck in existence.

  • GOD dose not hate gays he dislikes the sexual act between two man or two woman read god word he loves all us of period

  • I've had the pleasure of knowing persons who adhere to the Mormon faith

and the LDS Church. Most have appeared to have an enhanced sense

of community and family which is impressive. Delightful, their faith however,

    I find esctalogically absurd!

The LDS leaderships' decision to pour huge amounts of money into Californias'

initiative process thereby gulling and frightening many Californians into voting

yes on 8, I find completely offensive!

Ultimately, I thank G-D, for the US Constitution!

  • did anybody else get that pop up ad for eckankar?? fucking SPOOKY shit.

  • I live in Utah and the mormon agenda is dieing very very fast!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAEEEEEEE!

  • Never should had been a vote! marriage is not Christian! when will people get it!.

mates of 1 been around since before Christ & as early as american Indians in this country did not have a bible when they married in fact lots in america have been married without a bible today those of other religions. So put a law on sex which for Christians this is what they are doing we soon will be like other counties need to ask someone if we can have sex. stoning women & so on.

  • @sandmanhopes No one ever said marriage is christian. But the WORD marriage has a definition. Changing the definition will have legal ramifications that can not be ignored. Christians and Muslims alike, and Jews, and all other faiths with some MORALS are going to recognize that sex outside marriage (man and woman) is immoral. Atheists like gay marriage idea because they don't care about God, don't care about His commandments, don't have any morals at all. I understand their view, and vote.

  • @mormonanswerman You are right! I don't care about the Mormon God, and I don't care about the Christian God, and I don't care about want the Mormon God and the Christian God wants. I don't care, because I know without doubt that the Mormon God and the Christian God are fictional characters. Nothing you say to me can change this fact.

  • This has so much incorrect info that it is comical!

  • @epicabundance such as?

  • @epicabundance What do you mean?

  • um if mormons only take up 2% of CA then how the heck is it our fault that prop. 8 passed! more than half the ppl would of hade to vote for it! this has soo much stuff wrong about mormons! we DO NOT believe in poligamy and niether did joseph smith and he never practiced it! that is not what sealing is either. none of them know what they r talking about because none of them r mormon so dont believe what they tell u!

  • @jlchavez123 The TURK is an obvious bigot towards christianity.

  • @jlchavez123Proposition 8 passed because the TV and radio ads was 100% lies, which had nothing to do with same-sex marriage, but the Mormon Church paid for those ads, which makes them responsible. Why are you lying about polygamy? Polygamy is one of the Mormon Church's doctrine recorded in Doctrine and Covenants, section 132. You Mormons do believe in polygamy, you just can't practice it because its currently against statutory law.

  • In the so called land of the free people can't marry who they want or smoke they want to smoke? Why not?

  • If it looks like a PAC, walks like a PAC, acts like a PAC, it's a PAC! The Mormon Church needs to loose it's religious tax exempt status. I know several Mormons and they're all good people. I just wish they could see that they have been subjected to brainwashing by their so-called religion.

  • @neolib42 You've been subject to brainwashing by a enabling media. You have been duped. I am an individual who looks at all sources of information with a healthy dose of skepticism and consider who runs it, examine the money trail, etc. Do you?

I am not brainwashed by my church. The last time anyone in the church told me what to do was, well, I can't remember such an event. It never happened!

  • i love cenks robot impression

  • At one point the guest says " the church is technically non-profit". But it's sure not non-prophet!

  • Comment removed

  • good discussion, but why is it so fucking quiet??!!

  • This is clearly a biased view of a complicated issue. Blaming Mormons for why this vote has lost in every single state seems a little too much like scapegoating. How about you focus on the overwhelming majority of other faiths that voted for the amendments. Could it be that there is more of an issue here than one obscure faith. Possibly society finds homosexual relationships something not to be encouraged? Where the heck do you think the term 'in the closet" comes from?

  • UN should reserve some space in "former israel" since the mormons been persecuted for all time. It's time they get a place for their own and former israel would be great since they have religious connections there.

  • I wanna be rich. Should I create a religion too?

  • @LtShock L. Ron Hubbard did lol

  • @LtShock The Mormon Church buys a lot of land and/or real estate without tax, so I believe you could get rich by creating your own religion.

  • Religion is so fucking stupid!

  • @bobster451 another Atheist?

No, religion is smart. If there IS a God, then in the end you at least have a CHANCE that you got something right with God if you chose a religion and at least TRIED to have some respect for your creator. If you choose atheism, you choose the worst result. How dumb can that be? Religion is stupid? No, Atheism is most logically stupid and self-defeating.

  • @mormonanswerman Ah! The old and often used "Pascal's wager".

Yes, Religion is really stupid as you show with your stupid comment.

You go right ahead an believe that you have an invisible god that responds to you.

Fortunately, there are those who reject your stupidity and call it as we see it.

  • @bobster451 I don't get it, doesn't every one know God loved Sodom and Gomorrah. If you ever wondered why California has so many fault lines. Fornia ? interesting.

  • @rgotine We do know why California has so many fault lines. It is on a boundary of two major plates.

There is no 'god' explanation needed to explain this away, just an understanding of the science of geology and an understanding of the relative motions of the plates that make up the crust of the Earth.

I doubt there was ever a place called Sodom & Gomorrah, it is what is commonly called myth.

  • You know I used to like TYT. I was about to write all the terrible things I could think of on this comment, but that would just continue an already biased angle of vision to the LDS faith. If you want to believe these people, that's your choice. But if you question just how much of an expert these guys are on what they are talking about, just message me.

  • @skippy563 thats cute.

  • @restlesspride666 uh...thanks...I guess.

  • lol if it was legal for gays to get married the LDS Church wouldn't have to seal gays in there temples. Homosexuals can not get sealed in the temple. It will never happen.

  • So whats the liberal argument against polygamy?

  • It's not enough to take away the tax exempt status for religious institutions, it's required to tax them EXTRA. 50% or more of all income brought in by any church should be taxed.

  • Well it would be nice if everyone had their facts straight... 1st of all, tithing money is spent only for strictly church related expenses, such as building new chapels. There are other funds you can donate to that will be spent in areas such a PR. Also, 7% of the money raised for Prop. 8 was attributed to the LDS (Mormon) church, not "they're guessing it was about... in the end it was maybe... [they] think it was... [they] think it was maybe about 71%"... maybe... possibly... could be true...

  • @wwwhyperforgamescom

For a moment let's assume that it only was 7% that the Mormon church donated. Don't you realize that it's illegal for a religious institution that has tax-exempt status to donate any amount of money for political purposes, regardless of the amount?

  • @mike30701 the church itself did not donate any money. Its members donated. But it doesn't matter if a member of any church donated any money. If someone donates to anything and has any faith doesn't mean that persons church donated money. Its individuals.

  • @TheFlourTortilla

Actually, it wasn't only members donating. Six weeks into an investigation in February by California’s Fair Political Practices Commission, the LDS church admitted that it spent nearly $188,000 more on the campaign to approve Prop 8 than it had initially stated. They initially said that they had spent only $2,078. On June 8, the church agreed to pay a fine for failing to report $37,000 in contributions. As a tax-exempt organization, it was illegal to donate anything at all.

  • @wwwhyperforgamescom In the film, they talk about how the Mormon Church took money that had already been budgeted for church use and secretly funneled it to a front group fighting gay marriage in Hawaii. Also, the church issued a statement for its members to get involved and donate to pro-prop 8 causes, which is illegal. I believe the church also bundled tax-free donations to the church and donated them to prop 8 causes.

  • There are so many blatant distortions in this video it would take 4000 word post to refute them all. Plus the blatant anti-Mormon hate on display is sickening. You could never ridicule the beliefs of Jews or Catholics they way they ridicule the beliefs of Mormons, but, for some reason it's OK here. Why?

  • @cominginsecond its OK to ridicule all religions, and I probably could, It just so happens that by holding the stupidiest, logic-lacking beliefs, Mormon beliefs are pretty damn easy to ridicule. Catholics are mocked constantly, so don't play victim.

  • @James0507 Funny thing is, if we were into ridiculing and mocking, if that were not AGAINST our religion to do so, I can tell you that there exists much better arguments and logic for our way of thinking, but you will not be hearing us use that. Just thought you might like to know that its not about how smart you are, its about how self-controlled you are. There are smart people with self control.

  • @mormonanswerman well I'd like to hear those arguments- and it wou;dn't be "mocking" for you to do so, so I don't see why you can't,

  • God also told me he wants TYT to fix their audio levels.

  • I thought the most entertaining thing about mormon sealings was that you could actually get unsealed and infact my mother did. I keep harassing my mother about getting the mormon unsealing letter she got from the church but as i remember it it wasn't really an unsealing but was more of a you can get sealed to this other mormon person in the temple and when you get to heaven god will sort out who is sealed to who which i always thought was entertaining.

  • I think I speak for most of us when I say, Prop 8 and the Mormon Church can S my C. It's amazing how some people believe their religious leaders so much, that they actually give, basically their life savings to these bigots. Just can't wrap my head around that.

  • @Jianxzhi my mormon faith was dead when i realised that if i had actually followed church leaders in the days of the mountain meadows massacre i would be guilty of mass murder.

  • Oh also look up "Banned Mormon Cartoon " on Youtube .

  • The Mormons are bat shit crazy . Every time i see them i wonder if they have there special underwear on lol.

  • @Maximillion666 the magical mormon underwear is one hell of a sexy outfit. I always think mormonboyz(.)com when i think Mormon underwear.

  • Religion is stupid.

People who believe in religion are stupid.

  • Hey Cenk, stop being so fucking cheap and fix the audio. I can barely hear a thing.

  • 1) No church would be forced to perform gay marriages even if it were approved in all states. That would be a violation of freedom of religon. 2) The church was not violation of its tax exempt status by encouraging its members to get involved because, in doing so, they were not endoresing a political candidate. That is the standard for keeping your tax emept status. I think it should be different, but, as of now, that's it. In my own mind, I view all churches as political organizations.

  • @closerange88 i find that illegalplayer video on some dude testifying against prop 8 during a mormon religious service is of interest in this case. I remember when the bishop would when i look back strong arm us into signing a petition against this when a similar law was proposed in the UK. sickingly political when i think back to it.

  • This such bologna. None of the Apostles talked to anyone to raise funds. Members were simply encouraged to vote, donate money, and time to pass the measure. Members don't have to agree, the church is an intellectual body. For instance, members of the church disagreed with the hierarchy for years over the practice of denying the priesthood to members of African descent. Non-members don't understand how the church operates.

  • @JohnRhysMusician "Apostles" ? APOSTLES? are you talking about the Top LDS INC MORmON execs who laughabley refer to themselves in such a way.

the MORmON 12 ASSPOSTHOLES! MORmON !

  • @JohnRhysMusician

    watch?v=ubZQ5TgFRac

I remember being strongarmed into signing a petition when a similar law was proposed here in the UK.

Strongarmed in the sense i knew i wouldn't get a temple recommend questioned signing it. It would most certaintly have been brought up in the temple recommend interview.

  • @JohnRhysMusician Maybe non-members don't understand because Mormons keep so many of their rituals secret.

  • Don't forget the Black vote that was vastly Pro 8. The Mormons we already knew were bigots, but surprisingly on the same night we elected a Black president which was the fruition of the civil right movement, they voted to restrict the rights of others.

  • @Temuzin11 African-Americans are generally social conservatives.

  • Marriage is gay

  • Dude I had to crank the volume up for this video then at the end an ad played. I think I just went deaf.

  • Joseph Smith dum, dum, dum, dum, dum

  • 8 The moRon proposition.

Whatever happened to burning churches and chasing people who makes life a living hell for others? We did it centuries ago. In the US i think it's about time to start again. besides corruption religion seems to be your biggest problem.

  • @jo05dk No! Violence and arson won't solve any problems. I just make fun of religion and reason with them when I can.

  • That polygamy issue is a great example of irony. The Mormons are saying, "Hey, we got fucked over for OUR marriage beliefs, and we're such poor sports, now we're gonna fuck over somebody ELSE's marriage beliefs. Damned braindead Morbots.

  • @jdh501 It is sad to say but in most cases those who were once oppressed tend to continue the oppression pf others. There were some black churches that also supported Prop 8. This saddens me since I am black.

  • @wtfoof That's right. Sometimes the oppressed become the oppressors. The Christians also did this at the fall of the Roman Empire.

  • Marrage itself, i believe, is unconstitutional. Nothing blurs the separation of church and state more than the US government supporting and reconizing the religious ritual of marrage. With that in mind, we should be pushing for civil(state) unions, not marrage(a religious ceremony).

  • i dont know if anybody else got the ad for the fuse music awards... but that thing just promoted everything i hate about modern/radio/pop music.

  • WTF sealed? That is such random azz garbage. I can't stand super religious people, they are almost always retarded.

  • There are 3 forms of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) Main Stream Mormons, head quartered in Salt lake City, Reformed Mormons (who thought the leadership of the Church should go to Joseph Smith's heirs, and Fundamental Mormons that still practice polygamy. Smith's wife and his son started the Reformed Church after Brigham Young moved the Mormons to Utah, they rejected polygamy. The main Stream Mormons dropped polygamy in order to enter the Union in 1890. The fundamentalist never gave it up.

  • lol i love when cenk says OF COOOOUUURSE!

  • Funny how this company's worshippers don't realise that this thing is a money making machine that has one aim which is to grow bigger and bigger.

  • for some reason it only happens when they do movie stuff

  • I think TYT reeeaaallly needs 2 wrk on this audio thing

  • So if gay marriage happens then mormonism dies?

Fucking good argument for gay marriage.

  • @straykitting9 We need to go to California and get married NOW.

  • @straykitting9 Who's the bigot?

  • Yeah Mormonism makes so many bullshit claims, it's really sad that they found people dumb enough to believe them

  • It sounds like the LDS needs to have their tax-free status taken away.

  • @matthewtaylorbrown Not just them. All religions who get involved with politics.

  • Mormonism is a cult, just as bad as scientology.

The Mormons showed just how dirty they are by going into another state to deceptively force their agenda upon California. Brigham Young University must have their accredidation pulled.

  • @MeritisDE The same with Liberty U.

  • There missing the point... its about the money lebowski...

Shake the faith and their "church" gets less money

  • too bad joseph smith didn't want to bang his butler, then there would be no prop 8.

  • @danrupert he most likely did.....

  • eww mormons. Gross. Why can't we just put them on an island somewhere, and then they can be all mormony there. haha

  • schizophrenic culture

  • You know, I watched the review by itself earlier, and the conversation afterward really adds a lot. I like the reviews, and the fact that they highlight interesting documentaries that I can't find anywhere anyway, but it's nice to delve into them and discuss them here with Cenk afterward.

  • Until the 60's Mormons were considered a racist organization.

  • Regarding temple sealings, the phrase you're looking for is "For time and all eternity," folks. Trust the ex-Mormon here.

  • Cenk makes an awesome robot.

  • Mormons very scary how they sneaked their agenda in under the radar. You never know what kind of nutcases are in the background of an agenda.

  • The way the mormon religion is being discribed seems very similar to scientology......none the less it's all garbage.

  • When people are persecuted, they do learn a few things. How to evade persecution (not always successful) and how to implement persecution (always happens when they have power).

  • "All the morons believe him, I mean!!!! mormons believe him"

    hehe, best ever

  • please make the audio louder TYT

  • 9:30 Joseph, not John Smith.

  • But I think we can all agree that there is something wrong when 2 guys are getting it on.

You don't need to be religious to understand that.

  • How can anyone take anyone who believes God has a secret handshake, seriously?

  • I'm curious as to how Joey got such a huge religion started. Did he have some remarkable charisma? Did he do a miracle? What do I have to do here?

  • @TheGiantRobot

There's just tons of extremely naïve people on this world, being let by emotion and a strong leader, easy to follow.... Urgh, so fucked up.

  • @SinisterSkip

Yes, I know, tons of them. How do I get them working for me?

  • @TheGiantRobot

Say you're talking to god and wear a nice costume :)

  • @TheGiantRobot

    Led :)

  • you have more power as a religious leader than as a person in government

  • Im gay and I been married for 5 years already, I dont understand why the U.S. wont let their people do as they want. It always makes me laugh when I see americans calling the U.S. the land of the free. LOL

  • @Malphar Congratulations!

  • @RadarKat73080 Thank you I wish the same for all. Everyone should be able to marry the person they love

  • @Malphar My feelings exactly!

  • Mormonism = Scientology Lite.

  • @liknital07

    Scientology with traces of Christianity.

  • @liknital07 Observation of the Decade.

  • And then religious people ask me why atheists care about religion in America...

    ...well, this is ONE example.

  • Great ReThink Review Jon!

  • I think Cenk is close. I think the Mormons know that much of the Christian Right thinks they are a cult, so they have to Ultra hateful of "The Gays" in an attempt to convince the Christian Right that they are real Christians.

  • Morons, I mean morMons don't make any sense even by their own ridiculous standards. They must be able to control who gets magically sealed. Even if gays are allowed to marry, the moron church must me able to bar them from being sealed and screwing up their BS version of eternity.

What the heck do they care what non-morons do? In the preceding sentence, moron stands for any religious person or sect or cult that seeks to limit the rights of anyone outside their faith.

  • Ahahahaha love how he called the "elders" "their senior leaders"

  • religions are despirate in holding on to their flock l0ol

  • It baffles me that people still defend religion

  • @djkhaless because all religion and the aspects taught within are evil, right? Sure, there are horrible things out there attributed to religion but give me a break.

  • @NaziArabianJew Ummm, is that what I said? No, so don't put words in my mouth.

However, can list 5 things right now that are very bad about religion, and this is just the tip of the iceberg: 1-BLIND faith, accepting what someone else says without question. 2. The Inquisition, which slowed scientific progress. 3. Witch burnings--the killing of innocent women who merely did not conform. 4.Absolute truth 5. Hypocriticism

  • Comment removed

  • @kokofan50 this is true, but women were the most common victims. I'm sure this has something to do with the stigma which religions have attached to women through history

  • @djkhaless i know they are sexist but you should not cut out any victum

  • @NaziArabianJew Jesus said some very good things. "Love your enemy" "Turn the other cheek." People use religion to treat others like crap.

  • @RadarKat73080 Love thy enemy, turn the other cheek ect are in the bible. But so are these things that plant the seeds of hate. reaching heaven with love/compasion and with hate/controll are equally represented in the testaments. The wordsJesus are different than the overall words of the bible.

  • @WesSideCali Exactly my point. If you only follow the good parts of the Bible, I have no argument with you. I may not a
