cont.. I was told by the police that it is up to the business if they decide to deny service to anyone based on racial criteria, and Police can not file a complaint.

End of the day I did manage to go in with friends but we were all in a terrible mood and no way willing to contribute to the business that is so bluntly racist.

I did some research and found out that it is legal in Japan to selectively deny service based on race.

@ramboneto American of South Asian decent, I walked up to the entrance alone and i was stopped and told it is members only club, right behind me were all the Japanese friends 10-12 of them and they walked in unhindered, then we confronted the bouncer and he said he is told to stop "blacks" and other foreigners because they stir trouble, after much argument they let me in the club. This was our second attempt, on our first attempt I was so upset i went to Koban at Roppongi crossing to report.

This club selectively denies service to colored patrons, Whites and Japanese only. I was denied entry several times, and forced my way in by confronting them with several Japanese friends. I tried filling a police report, to my dismay it is not a crime in Japan to deny service based on Race.

This club sucks anyways, not worth the visit. There are a lot of very welcoming and fun places in Roppongi, not intending to deter anyone who wants to go there to have fun.

Este clube seletivamente nega serviço a clientes coloridos, brancos e japonês. Me foi negada várias vezes entrada e forçou minha forma de confrontá-los com diversos amigos japoneses. Tentei preencher um relatório da polícia, para meu espanto, não é um crime no Japão, para negar o serviço com base na raça.

Este clube é uma merda mesmo assim, não vale a visita. Há um monte de lugares muito acolhedor e divertido, em Roppongi, não pretendendo deter quem quer ir até lá para se divertir.

@MrInterminable1 That was 3 years ago, I just went back to Tokyo, and now there is a Gaspanic II as well, i got in without a hitch, along with mix crowd of white and japanese friends, This time around it was Muse at Nishi-Azabu that required "business cards of gaijins" to allow us in. It is not moronic to complain about inequality in every shape and form regardless of where it is practiced, it is however moronic to turn the blind eye, or name calling on the victims of racism.

It's in Roppongi and Shibuya.

The Roppongi Clubs only have Cockroaches and the Shibuya club has Rats!!

By the way the Movie in "Red" is not from this user since I took it when I was working there - check out the original with sound on my account - by the way this was the GASPANIC BAR and not Club 99 but I suppose that they are all the same anyway.

I love MatrixBar in Roppongi. The staff is very friendly and the DJ actually takes requests. There is enough room to sit down even when the place is packed.

The drinks are by far the cheapest that I have seen in Roppongi. I met people from all over the world at this Bar. Every night has its own theme. If you are ever in Roppongi, make sure to stop by MatrixBar.

Where was this club? In Shibuya or Harajuku? I have been to the one in Roppongi and had the best time ever.
