this is a nice interpretation stylistically speaking, but there are a lot of corny inflections in the vocals: you're adding notes that aren't in the original; sometimes that works but in this case it does not. part of the reason why the original worked so well is because the vocalist sang beautifully and simply. if you cleaned that up this would be a solid cover. just my opinion so take it for what it is...

it's both. originally for the dntel album, but it ended up creating it's own album, Give Up by The Postal Service.
