@Thepremiumagent In this video it's the one with 8.5 mm bezel. But the le9500 version was a prototype and have never been on the market.. So the only one you can buy, is the one with 1.6 mm. bezel, wich is the lx9500 version... Really sad they didn't just stuck with the 8.5 mm. :(
@batmanbeyond23 Exactly, all these new "LED TVs" are just LCDs with the traditional CCFL backlight replaced with the diodes... Apart from Local Dimming and a brighter light it's still the same old flawed LCD panels... I rather wait for OLED...
led is not back of tv or some special tv light.. as some of u say.. led is light emitting diode, and this diode is used to light the screen so picture is better it eat less energy
and oh hell it really rocks to those who tries to say bad things about LED lcd fuk you ;) have a good day, oh yes if u buy led u already have good receiver or at least 5.1 home cinema so that speakers on back of tv is actually not needed at all now enjoy your time
I recently bought a 42 inch LED LG TV. Not a infinia, but the regular kind. It is good but in moments the screen clicks and the image isn't there for 2 seconds
We think these LED Slims will be an exciting addition to our offerings. We're SKUing them up today, will be available on our site and in our NYC store this week.
I've read taht the Samsungs after the warrenty ends, the capaciters all blow out. I question the reliability of lcds when the warrenty is only a year. Oleds have longevity problems with the blue color,10,000 hrs. vs 100,000 for red etc.
I don't think thinner is better. I'd like a 1-2 inch thick panel with a border. Too thin looks too fragile. Also too thin means bad speakers unless they go to ribbon speakers. 2 on bottom and 2 on top. Normal use 2, optional 4 for music. That's the best way IMO
Well you know, these tv's arent really made for using the TV's speakers. Theyre sorta made so you have surround sound. If you get a tv this nice, you SHOULD have a nice surround sound setup with it. Thats what I think.
I agree jagsaiyan, that's why I say ribbon speakers may be the way to go on these tvs. I'm surprised no one has used them yet, unless there is some reason I'm unaware of. If anyone knows more on the subject, please enlighten us.
connect all hdmi into your denon reciever and use only ONE hdmi (which you can get vertically bended) to connect to tv... easy,... im so getting this tv
ever heard of idiotic design ? let us have the the thin sleek design of the tv and then let the various cables that plugs into it stick out 5-6 cm out the back of the tv. That is not gonna look very ridiculous on a wall ?
Come on LG fire those geeks who thought that out !
LED is a LCD TV.......just one that has LED lights behind the panel...as opposed to the ccfls.....its just LCD evolving ...plasma is dead.....but in 3 yrs LCD will be dead too replaced by OLED....thats the next big thing
LCD traditional Technology don't uses its own light, LED LCD technology does, , when i say LCD i mean first LCD tv generation. Anyway, non of the LCDs can compete with OLED.
@ovniforos No LCD's traditionally used Cold Cathode Lighting and now most use LED edge-lit lighting and its still a led panel type.
So you said "Panel and lighting type A? Panel Type B? ....nahhhh ! , Lighting type C rules." So it kinda had no meaning because you said no to LCD then you said yes to led lit lcd and yes OLED is the best by far but that isn't gonna be available in TV's for about 2-3 years.
I JUST BOUGHT THIS T.V ..... BEST PIECE OF TECHNOLOGIE I OWN
BY FAR THE BEST T.V ON THE MARKETTTT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Indeed LED TV is not a true LED Display, but for now is the best, lets wait for the upcomming cheaper and bigger OLED tvs, that will be the future.

@ovniforos El LED como vos le decis no es mas que un LCD retoiluminado con led en lugar de Fluorecentes.
