N97 is really a smartphone, a mobile phone not a toy compared to i-phone 3Gs. that's why nokia is the leading mobile phone company in the world because their phone models are unique not over-rated like the i-phone does. i love my nokia n97!

I found that the N97 was over three times cheaper in the UK given the current subsidised incentives offered.

N97 on tmob +internet =£110+£20x24 (+30 for an 8GB card)

=620

iphone on vodaphone =£88 + £35x24 =928

given calls and data cost are about £20 per month anyway this means n97 = 146, iphone = 448

iphone cost 3 times more for the eqiptment.

Bit of a no-brainer (just like most iphone-ers)

Apps in Symbian are free (a lot of them), but apps in iPhone not. This difference are not compensate with a quickly interface from iPhone.

Ha i have that same game on my iphone 3g and um wtf the N97 failed me lol the Iphone is way more a FUN and ENTERTAINING phne ofcourse, its sleek slim sexy BIG screen the gameplay is simple and amazing!!! When playing the game on iphone it even have a onscreen joystick like a psm stick i dought the N97 has that. Hey u seen that TINY little box it showed for the game! that kinda made me change my mind about the phne plus the apps are cheesy the iphone is just smoother cleaner and hey still CHAMP!!

There is nothing to compare, the good keyboard like on n97 makes 10 times more confortable and faster to type compared to iPhones virtual one. It doesn't take any screen space, so you can see full page or email.

omnia isnt bad... its biggest downfall is win mobile. if you could put osx or android on it, it would prolly be better.

keep in mind that the 3gs is only 200 now and is twice as fast as the ipod this guy is sing.

200 for iPhone 3GS.. you want.. It's $200 + CONTRACT, so with the same contract you can get a Nokia N97 WITH NO EXTRA CHARGE AND xBOX360 as a GIFT. Because N97 is maybe twice less expensive than iPhone 3GS is.

i guess your opinion is that the n97 is better than iphone 3gs, but from it looks to me, the n97 is just as glitchy, slow, and looks like a win mobile device lol. but thats my opinion. just like its my opinion to hate buttons and some ppl like buttons. you did do a good comparison though.

but im a nokia n series fan so in nokia's defense i just wanna say that they made the n97 more resistant touch then capacitive touch like the iphone

but u do got it right how it lags cuz ive used almost every n series phone from nokia and all do lag... i suppose its cuz they are using Symbian as their OS which personally n my opinion is out dated since 2007.

but i wish nokia would just go all out on their phones.

Samsung Omnia is an S60 v 5 th edition (Symbian) like the nokia n 97 it is the same but the processor for omnia is bad compared to nokia n 97 which has arm 11 434 mhz

It's just an OS speed comparison, not the devices itself. The iPod runs on a lot powerfull hardware, but nokia is still faster in some applications even with that 400MHz AMR CPU, which makes Symbian S60 maybe the the best optimized OS compared by speed! :)

No it's not, it's just an overpriced phone. I played a bit with it, and it doesn't feel even close to quality of the N97, but probably it'll be 1/4 more expensive than the N97 is now.
