Oskar (Oscar) Strock was born in 1893 in Daugavpils (with old name in German and Russian - Dünaburg), in the territory of nowadays Latvia. He passed away in 1975 in Riga.

it's a lovely version I have never heard before. Marek Weber is perfect as usually and the Russian refrain is very stylish, probably - sung by one of numerous White Russian emmigrants in Berlin of 1920/30s.
