I feel for Phil. Regaurdless of what happened it hurts to have someone go you were so close to without being able to bury the hatchet. Something very similar happened to one of my bands, but I was very fortunate to be able to make amends with him before his untimely passing. My heart goes out to you Phil along with anyone else put in a similar situation.

i know he supposedly said in an interview that dime deserved a beating or somethin like that but i know he didnt mean it. he probably said it just out of rage in the moment or something and i think its horrible that he didnt get to go to the funeral. i dont know how the relationship between vinnie and phil is now but they really need to put the past behind them for dime, the fans, and the music.

He's obviously broken up about it, there is not one ounce of insincerity in him towards Dimebag. If I were to speculate he probably feels partially responsible. You can't take away the bonds people make when they're that close for that long (their years in Pantera working together). He didn't want Dimebag to die.

I dont really have the right to have an opinion on this because the only people that know if darrel forgives phil is darrell. I do think that Darrel probably does still care about phil. I have had plenty of experience with opiate addiction and let me tell you, it makes you do things you wouldn't normally do.

its so sad! every word he is saying is true! Pantera was the best metal band since sabbath. Metal died with dime that night. Had he lived Pantera would have reformed and the landscape of metal as we know it would be different. It would be much bigger. Pantera was a sensation! I saw Pantera and Sabbath with Ozzy Dimebag Darrell one of the best guitarist ever. Better than Randy Rhoades who i saw 6 times. Better than anyone! RIP Dime!
