i have a 2005 kx 144 and i loove it.. the guy before me rebuilt the bike for his sons backup motocross bike and never needed it.. but it is bone stock except the r304 silencer, dunlop mx51 tires, and the renthal 7/8 bars.. he had it geared at 13-47 and today i put a bigger rear sprocket on the back (51) and it raises up every gear!

is the 144 kit really worth it?

@TheLowganlow i had E. Gorr do mine ported for top end, for ~$500
more bottom, harder hit and more top end... it was defintly worth it. i think i am going to step up to a 250 next season
