My brother-in-law was falsely arrested by a crooked detective, and then charges were dropped. This cop beat him up in a precinct room, calling out racial slurs while my BIL was handcuffed. One uniform cop came in, shooked his head and walked out. There are good cops out there, but there are plenty of crooked, trashy ones as well. As a white person who has dealt with the 83rd precinct, I can tell you that they aren't much better with white people. DI Bambury tells everyone in public that his door is open to anyone in the community. One time I went to speak to him and at the front door, Detective Sonobrio asked if I was related to Bambury and then laughed at me and shut the door in my face. They take payoffs, screw hookers, harass/beat people, etc. If their methods work, why is crime going up in that area?
