A few days ago, I had Confessions. I go to a very prestigious bullshit Catholic school. I came out last year and I have been embraced and ignored. But that's cool. And I sat with the priest. I asked, "Is being Gay a sin.. will God hate me?" the Priest stopped me. He said, "No! God loves you. He has such magnificent plans for you and for all gay people. No where in the bible does it say being gay is a sin. Embrace who you are." I started crying with relief. From then on I started embracing myself
Like all these people say. I wish it was just a natural thing. I never really thought anything, then realized when I was maybe a freshman...oh, so I'm gay. That's what it is. It should just be something no one cares about.
And now I'm staying with my best friend because I didn't even want to listen to my parents.
Even worse, my little sister is mean to me because i am engaged to another girl. I've taken so much of this abuse from my sister, and i finally snapped a few weeks ago. Be confident and put yourself out there. Keep in mind that it is not just going to get better for you, but as time goes on it will get better for everyone. I grew up in Catholic schools too and even became a monk. After college though (and after I left the monastery) I learned how ridiculous it is to let others dictate who or what I should be. I'm now partnered for 9 years and we bought a house last year here on Long Island. Life is good. It gets better! =)

I felt my parents would be disappointed if they knew I was gay, and people were a lot meaner to gay people when I was in HS and College some 30+ years ago. There were times I wished it would just end. The funny thing is, I think everyone else knew I was gay before I even did. Anyways, I'm glad I'm still here. There are a lot of ups and downs in life. i am fourteen and came out to people in the last week. i'm not sure how my mum is taking it, but she seems ok and my brother doesn't know. sadly i didn't get a chance to tell my friends at my own pace because my blaaber mouth friend told every 1 after i told her. i too am waiting for things to get better

Through my years in this life, I have learned the following through experience:
1. We all are ONE and we r all GOD. Religion is man made and keeps people in fear and it's very deceiving and many will realize who they are soon.
2. We choose the life/styles we experience lifetime to lifetime before coming into the physical body. So our sexuality isn't wrong and has it's purpose.

Great video Davey and Dan! I'm a lil older than you (35) and grew up thinking the same thing, that I'd have to live a lie or be all alone. Being gay just wasn't a possibility I ever dreamed of. I grew up in Catholic schools too and even became a monk. After college though (and after I left the monastery) I learned how ridiculous it is to let others dictate who or what I should be. I'm now partnered for 9 years and we bought a house last year here on Long Island. Life is good. It gets better! =)

I felt my parents would be disappointed if they knew I was gay, and people were a lot meaner to gay people when I was in HS and College some 30+ years ago. There were times I wished it would just end. The funny thing is, I think everyone else knew I was gay before I even did. Anyways, I'm glad I'm still here. There are a lot of ups and downs in life. Like when you trip and fall in a crowd, there is nothing to do but pick yourself up and keep moving on & tell yourself -- & this to shall pass
