Beautiful as described by my late grandfather, he belonged to chotta gallla near Rawlakote. he wished to visit his birth place before his death but unfortunately he could not. And yes we people are Potoharis (closely related to punjabis but separate identity) we do not belong to kashmiri ethinicity.

Entire state of jammu & kashmir is called "Kashmir" Kashmiri is just one part of this state,one ethnic...don't create hatred and biase among nationalities.

none of them is ethnic kashmiri, ethnic kashmiris reside only in the valley of kashmir. The name of the state is Jammu and kashmir, what is called azad kashmir in pakistan is actually part of Jammu region, not kashmir. Since kashmir is the name of the only kashmir valley, then there is ladakh also. pahari/pothoharis are just punjabis not kashmiris. They shoul stop calling themselves kashmiri, because ethnich kashmiris will laugh at these punjabis calling themselves kashmiris.

I agree with imkan125. Ethnically we are neither Kashmiri neither Jummwi.We are ethnically Pothohari more close to Punjabi in culture. Language, culture.. We have nothing common with Kashmiri. This is unfortunate but its true.

However Rawalakot is a beautiful place...no doubt but extremely backward thanks to our ruling class in Pakistan and its puppet in Azad Kashmir
