Would be smart to put a link to the next clip somewhere. Perhaps in the video description....or in an annotation at the end of the video. Just makes sense.
I am currently learning how to ride a unicycle, and instead of rocking (and the rest of the seemingly unneccesary training), im just lapping a tennis court at my local park, incase you guys want to see what it looks like, check out the vid on my channel.
@Clementinepics I've been doing the same exact thing. I hold on to the fence and try to make it to the other side. There are two playing courts in the fence and I try to ride across them. For my third day I managed to get over half way
Hey, does anyone else have issues doing a regular mount...as in having the seat jam into your..parts? I use a reverse mount (the wheel starts behind me) which works well, but was just wondering...
@draco3113 I kinda do the same. I have my foot at 9 o'clock but a hop onto the uni with no weight at the foot that's already on the uni. So that I can ride away quickly ;)
@blackout48ccs2 it depends on how big or small u r....... if ur taller than 4 feet and 7 inches or are then u should ride a 16 inch-20 inch. for taller people a 22- 26 inch would be good
omg thanks for posting this. i tried to get on for like 1/2 and i was like 'damn i must be retarded and uncoordinated'. i was trying to get on from the side, like a bike or a horse (which doesn't work in case you were wondering : P)then i watched this vid and it magically worked like the 2nd time.
Basically, you stand on a curb (or pallet) with the wheel backed up against it, then it can't roll backwards. Next use a small rock as a wheel chock, then later you can free mount.
Ok this video is completly wrong. It's impossible to get on at 6 o'clock and even he in the video rocks back to 7 o'clock to get on. If you start the pedal at about 8 o'clock (7 for some 9 for others) and tuck the seat under you as you move your weight onto the pedal you're lifted up over the wheel and makes it much easier to balance. This guy chats bull
i have a 5 ft unicycle an theres no how to get in a unicyle thats about 3 in taller then vid if u no can u tell me couse um iv had fora year an still cant get on it
Hey you guys that say he sucks dont know what your talking about. I know how to unicycle very well (tricks etc) and trust me that is the proper way to mount, also lean your seat back and then sit, one thing nice to get is a wall, a nice way to learn and this is how i did it, is to get two saw horses, and clamp two very long boards and each side of the saw horses, and then get right in the middle of the two boards, that way you have support on both sides of your body.
i know riding a unicycle dose hurt your nuts, i just grined and bared it and eventually you learn where to sit on the unicycle. and i agree, getting on the unicyle without using a wall was the hardest part for me and still is. i can ride it but just cant mount it =). i always use a wall.
haha. u can put baby powder around/ on them. or wear spandex, or get some kind of lubricating cream. idk. i wore compression shorts once, twas ok. but baby powder is prettay good. u must prevent developing a rash on ur balls more then anything.
you shouldn't use these videos to learn to unicycle, i learned to unicycle without knowing a thing about it before. I tought myself, and you should too
Most people wanna know the right way to do it so they don't stack it bad, cause a unicycle is a lot more awkward and dangerous than learning to ride a regular bike.
there is no easy way to learn.. get a railing or something ..ive been practiceing for about 5 hrs..i can finaly ride around town on it..just dont give up
i used to ride along a wall till i got comfortable wit that, then i would hang on to a tree and let go and try to pedal...it seems impossible but it is not
ok so im completely new to unicycles and i am having trouble finding the right one for me. I am a huge guy(300 pounds) and i would like to do some freestyle and cruising unicycling. the biggest thing is, is that it needs to be able to hold my weight and have a good size of tire. can anyone help pleeeeease???
i am starting to ride a unicycle i wiegh 12 stone best bet is to get a 20-26 inch wheel i got a 20 and it is perfect for begginers cause bigger wheel easier to ride
Hey, I've been able to ride as far as I wanted for about 9 weeks now, but when I was learning or when I was having trouble, I looked straight to ExpertVillage. These videos are great!
I'm a pro at getting off. I can't get on, rock, or move around, but in my 5 hours of unicycling I have learned how to properly fall. Just lean back, then catch the seat as it comes down. He actually does have a video on how to get off
Now try to do a whellie on that
