Hi All. Debbie here (not on my login). I did write it as a hitch, but people seem to struggle with the balance so I dance it with a sweep (and probably prefer it with a sweep now!). I don't mind which way people want to dance it, or teach it - so do whichever you find easiest and more comfortable. I hope you enjoy it x
As an instructor, you have an obligation to verify the steps with the choreographer at debmcwotzit@gmail.com. When I teach a dance where the CHOREOGRAPHER'S video and stepsheet differ, I TEACH it by the sheet, but SHOW the steps the way they are danced. As an experienced line dancer, you know how steps evolve when a dance is done over time, and you know that good dancers like Debbie dance what they feel at any given moment.
According to the step sheet, the 6th step of section 1 should be hitch left knee. I found different version of this step from different video and yours
showed no hitch, but a smooth sweep turn which is actual quite nice. What is your opinion ?
