I know I'm going to receive some thumbs down but I dislike today's gymnastics a great deal. I dislike the glitter, bright eye shadow, sequins, rhinestones, and the lack of grace, elegance, dance, and charm. I prefer the days of adorable Olga Korbut and her contemporaries, when the sport was refined, poised, and truly enchanting rather than the outrageous makeup, hair glitter, lack of fluidity, and too much tumbling/acrobatics. The old school gymnastics makes this look unworthy and unattractive.

You are not the only one who thinks this. Gymnastics has lost a lot of artistry over the years. But you have to look on the bright side and see that we still have many artistic gymnasts. Nastia, Pavlova, Pogras, Yang Yilin, and many others. Don't worry, I'm sure artistry will come back!
