First you do A+B+C to activate, and he'll start chanting. Then you need to get him to get up to "Yet those hands will never hold anything" and you'll hear a visual/sound queue. Then do 236236C before it's too late to do it.

Hit all 3 attack buttons at the same time. It probably won't work on keyboard without the shortcut key since keyboards don't like you pressing a lot of keys at once. It works if you're using a pad though.

Getting hit at certain times of the chant will stop Archer from finishing it. Also activation cost 1 meter, and so does UBW.

Number pad combinations tend to be the standard format, especially when it comes to fighting games on the PC, despite it being highly unlikely anyone would actually use the number pad.

It prevents confusion in terms of direction, because, well, some people have difficulty envisioning the sticks circling around.

...It's also easier to type, buuut... I'd like to hope that laziness isn't the answer >__>;;

It's much more easier to understand than any other notation. A funny story is this one time Jwong was trying to teach me how to play Yang on 3rd Strike and he said to do Yang's dive kick, it's down forward kick in the air. So I was doing that, but I couldn't get it to work because I was doing down to forward (236). Then Marn shouted out in the background and said 3. And immediately it clicked to me that Justin meant diagonal down+forward, not down to forward.
