  • You may think I'm going to make a relevant comment, but that's only because you've committed the educational fallacy... by presenting me with information, you assume I'm now familiar with it.

I'm kidding of course. Great video.

  • when i try and explain this to people in appropriate conversation everyone just switches off, and go on to commit fallicies

  • what was the insert terrence mckenna remark about? flew over my head.

  • Congratulations, video makers. Snappy graphics and witty accompany text narrative, a pleasure to watch.

  • that is one hideous intro

  • Thanks for uploading. This helped me study! =]

  • Self defense is not two wrongs. It is one person attacking another and one person defending. It is not the same thing, and self defense is not wrong.

  • Ah the...

    Ah the...

    Ah the...

Is this guy genuinely having this reaction to every single question?

  • it's Adam and Eave, not Adam and Steave xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • Holy SHIT !!! (for a clear understanding read my first post below) I just watched another 5 minutes of this video, and the next examples were against parents being right, against the Bible, against gun ownership... is anyone listening to this guys twisted examples...??? This CAN'T BE AN ACCIDENT. Don't get me wrong... Trivium GOOD. The way he's using it right now BAD.

  • @mydogjesus That's because we put critical thinking first, not circular arguments in the bible, etc. It's common sense not to use circular reasoning. But there's nothing against parents, as parents should properly teach their children fallacies, so see through lies. He was using a particular fallacious arguments about gun control, through we're absolutely for people's right to own a gun! Freedom is just that. But circular arguments for the Bible? Come on, wake up.

  • @GnosticMedia thanks for saying all that IN A POST... now SAY IT IN YOUR VIDEOS by using some other example to prove each trivium fallacy, (you could use any one of a million examples if you really wanted to) ...I find it less than a coincidence that almost every example I saw and mentioned had 'subtle' socialist banners. I was not imagining it.

  • btw- about 30-40 minutes into the video he makes more subtle claims that natural remedies are false (to support the pharmaceutical industry) he does more middle ground healthcare stuff, more examples that insist left-right are your only choices when the 'actual' trivium fallacies suggest that we should not be fooled by the left-right paradigm in the first place. These video examples are a clever piece of deception mixed in with the truth (truth being the trivium fallacies themselves)

  • @mydogjesus Appeal to Ridicule.

  • @mydogjesus Every example was pro democrat liberal crap.

  • The Trivium is obviously something we all need to learn inside and out. But wouldn't it be clever to use the teaching time to continue to implant bullshit into our heads like... "just because we had this government for 200 years DOESN'T make it good. (I caught that evil implication) it was very subtle. Liberty and Freedom, and the principles that support it are the last things you should be using as negative examples. I was onto that sneaky shit in a heartbeat. Guess I'm learning.

  • @mydogjesus Appeal to fear

  • @ChaseBanta in order for those claims of Appeal to Fear or Ridicule to be factual, I would have needed to leave out a string of EVIDENCE for the listener to examine. I left them a clear string of evidence that they can watch in the video. (and from that point draw their own conclusion as to the validity of MY claim that the video maker is using examples that seem to consistently support a collectivist propaganda (not a neutral unbiased set of examples)

  • The information in this video is fantastic! Loved it! However, the graphics on the screen were really distracting; I couldn't focus at times--I can't read what's in the graphic and listen to the audio at the same time so I had to pause and rewind a few times.

  • "Ah, 'insert whatever fallacy described here'"

  • Great except the video is distracting from the audio.

  • That fallacy would be Appeal to Silence I believe. I haven't watched the vid yet.

    Correct me if I wrong.

  • The fact that none of this information is taught at our schools proves that our education system is run by the Illuminati.

10 points if you can name the above fallacy because I can`t.

  • I loved this as soon as it mentioned Warcraft. LMAO!!!<33333

  • 18:00 winning

  • Appeals to Tradition - exemplified wonderfully in Shirley Jackson's short story "The Lottery"

  • im an expert on everything.. i have a plaque to prove it
