@WildGiraffe12 No, I understood the point of his post. The point was that his dad was there for DMB's first shows, seeing the inception of what would become the band. I'm just noting that instead of being an absentee father he could've taught his child grammar and capitalization. Would it help if I added a "bro" to the end of this sentence, bro?
Don't mess with the zohan, I now pronounce you chuck and larry, where the red fern grows, because of winn dixie, and i think there's one more i'm forgetting.
people forget that the reason they dont move as much now is because theyre older. they have been around for such a long time, nearly more than 20 years, and theyve held the title of best live performance every year. we need to give them a break.
i believe that the random scat towards the end of the song has more meaning than the actual lyrics....if you listen closely you can catch little phrases that give insights to how much he feels and wishes that america will change its ways........there's gotta be something better than capitalism! lol
im not about to get into economics with you, but capitilism is a lot better than socialism or any other government... i mean America, Canada and England are the best places to live and that is the reason why... now laws against marajuana and no free health care is retarded
no im sorry but the idea of free health care is retarded. people should get what they work for. we are already in debt, why put the government deeper in it? people can barely afford taxes now.....how could we later?
Saying that universal health care increases debt is a myth. Canada is in far less debt per capita than the US. Until a Conservative government was elected several years ago, we had balanced budgets for over 10 years straight. Think about that. We protect those who can't protect themselves. There is nothing wrong with that.
it sounds soooo good!! almost like the album version, but i do agree with 4waynosespray, its different because its not a huge, 50,000 person concert, the studio audience is only like 150 people max, but DMB rules nonetheless
He's not out of tune..... he changes the notes to the riff...which to me changes the WHOLE SONG...cause the riff is what holds the song...along with the melody....IMHO
This is the original album version, that's why people may not like the way it sounds. I much prefer Dave songs recorded live, because he seems to let loose and enjoy them a lot more, with both the vocals and instrumental bits. This was right after, or somewhere around, the release of Stand Up, so it's definitely a different, more studio-oriented sound.
guys, I understand that a lot of u are musicians and can pick out the little irregularities that most of us couldn't even dream of noticing, but can u just let us enjoy the best band in the world with out knit picking? I'm personally a chef, and I can't produce 3 star michelin dishes 365 days out of the year, close(lol), but not quite! Let us just bask in the presence of greatness, even if it is 96% of what they normally do. Thanx
I looked at the 'video' video and for the entire song he plays a baritone until the solo at the end where he uses an alto. On this video he uses a tenor the whole time. Now, I'm no saxophone expert but that may have something to do with it. Who nows?
If you compare this video with the one where they play #41 on letterman and compare how they dress and act they've definitly matured. AWESOME band nonetheless.
this version is sicker ... but a sicker one i think ... was on VH1 story tellers a few years ago ... he goes even crazier at the end ... its 4:20 in the morning and im gonna watch it right now ... its that good lol
Dude...i completely agree..the VH1 storytellers version is AMAZING. I have been looking for it for a couple of years now. Do you know where I could find it? I'm pretty sure it isn't on youtube..or on the internet where i could rip it..where is it?!

Yeah that has alot to do with it. Different types of saxophones produce different tones because each one is in a different octave.
