Those are "Cane"s she is balancing on if your from the Dance/Acrobat/ Contortion world world as I suspect she might have been. An acrobatic Gymnast would call those pedestals or blocks. NOT Artistic Gymnastics but ACROBATIC; there are seven competitive forms of gymnastics. Only one has a balance beam (Woman's Artistic)
