@babigurl10546 Venus fly traps have small hairs on the inside that, when touched, trigger the 'closing' reaction. The long spines that stick out from the 'mouth' of the plant act like a zipper, interlocking together so that the bug or small creature that is trapped inside can't escape.

@Nyghtshade409 Yeah I believe if they touch all the hairs (only 3-6 of them) it closes automatically. If they are only touching one or so, it sets off a timer and closes in around 20 secs. That's so unwanted things like leaves and shit don't set it off.
