yu think dat becuz he had his own shoes won a slam dunk won 6 nba titles wow! remeber this Allen Iverson a PG ended him a POINT GUARD I TELL YOU!Jordan left the nba yh Lenny did a sum dumb stuff yhhe was goin to be a bench player for a least 1 year. but the stats shows jordans career shows it
if he was in da nba ya wuldnt even compare him to kobe, jordan, lebron, magic, shaq, all of those ppl he probably wuld broken da karem abdul jabbar record of points im tellin ya he was goin to be da BEST NBA PLAYER IN DA WORLD THUMBS IF YU AGREE!!
@KingKhadim stats are meaningless in college. Jordan was in a system that had lots of scorers. Jordan the greatest ever. Bias would have been a decent player but to say break Kareem's record just means you are clueless.
@KingKhadim you can't even form a legible sentence. Stop yh? but the stats shows jordans career shows it? Ask anyone in the world with knowledge of the NBA, Bias would have been a great player but shit no one has come close to breaking Kareems record. Durant Lebron will challenge it since they had 1 and no college respectively. Kareem had 3 years in college. Kobe has a chance if he stays healthy. Jordan would have had a chance if he didnt retire twice.
Easy to call him a bust because of the outcome. But if you analyze his talent level, he could have made a.good transition into the nba. He probably would have played at small forward not 4. His mid range game was excellent. He needed to get his ball handling skills up, and his passing. I think he could have dobe both because say what you want, he really applied himself in basketball.
@QuebolaQuebolin yeah i doubt he would have been a bust either, cause he would have been playing with parish, bird, and mchale to help him become a great player in the nba.
I had to respond to a couple things here. First, I believe Len Bias was good friends with Chris Washburn, not Brad Daugherty. In hindsight, that was a BAD sign for his future if he lived. They were sitting next to each other at this draft. Also Jeff Green attended the same high school(Northwestern) as L.Bias. After L.Bias died, it was discovered that he only had about 2 years of credits completed despite being at Maryland for 4 years. It caused UMD to put in strict academic policies for athletes
You Can't call this guy a bust.... its so sad what happened to him, also if you listen to an interview with his best friend Brad Daughtrey, he said that Len Bias wouldn't even drink beer as a senior in college, R.I.P Len Bias
@TheWebster26 He is a bust. This isn't someone who didn't get a shot because of injuries. He didn't get a shot because of his own decisions. He was a failure of epic proportions.
@Marakulous43 Ridiculous huh? Probably one of the 3 greatest NBA teams ever assembled wins the title in a walk with a 50-1 home record...and they get Len Bias the next year. Who knows what they would have accomplished and how many years he would have added to Bird and McHale's careers...let alone titles. Crazy.
It's sad watching this because of bias death on drugs few days after the draft. Bias death and Reggie Lewis passing are the darkest moments for the Celtics franchise.
@chaquetasenlacaja They traded Gerald Henderson and cash to the Seattle Supersonics for the pick back in October '84. Red Auerbach went on record saying the Celtics had planned on drafting Bias for close to 3 years before the draft.
how did the world championship boston celtics get such a high pick in the 86 draft? i always thought the highest draft picks always went to the crappiest teams?
If Lenny had lived....the Pistons would never seen the Finals during the Bad Boy era. The Lakers would have never won another title after '85. The Bulls would have had 3 less titles. Imagine it, Bird could have played 25 minutes a game and rested his back. No one knows what might have been, but it would have been incredible.
@RedCeltYank1 I agree with 1987 but 1 guy was not gonna be enough to take out the Bad Boys and certainly not the Bulls. Hell who knows he could have been like Joe Smith. lol
I would have loved to have seen Len Bias, on the Celtics, guard Magic Johnson. In 1991, Pippen kind of held Magic in check. Bias, i believe would have done the same. Such a shame. He would have done a lot of the dirty work on those celtic teams and allowed someone like Bird to just worry about shooting. Coack K from duke says the 2 best players he ever saw were Jordan and Bias. What could have been.
@tompapagiannis Pippen held him in check, for one game. Lets not kid ourselves on that. Lakers didn't stand a chance cause they had Worthy and Scott injured and Bulls were a great team ready to win.
Bias would've made the Celtics favourites to win the title for the next 3-4 yrs, easy. That team was crazy good, just needed some help so older guys wouldn't have to play such big minutes. Unfortunately things didn't work out that way.
out of maryland.I like how rick asked him what he wanted to improve on (his line rolling skills LOL)
With the 3rd pick in the 1986 nba draft the golden state warriors select(Chirs the DOPE HEAD Washburn) all kinds of talent for the BLOW none for the SHOW and no get up and go!!!!!!! LOL
With the 6th pick the pistons select Wil I cant get out of BEDfor durgs bedford.roy tarpleys 2 mill drink?
BITCH stfu u on some hating shit got no respect u aint funny nethier dumeass cause you laughed at your own jokes .Len bias is the best college player ever and u deal with that shit because that shit aint gonna change
Bird, Michale, Parrish were all on the downside of their careers about time the early 90's came. The would have still had Lewis(if were still living)and Bias who would have been talented but still would need more than that. So maybe the pistons wouldn't have got a ring but the bulls would pretty sure get those six rings
Len Bias was suppose to ease the transition with the transition of Larry Bird who played longer than he thought he would if Bias had lived imagine him and MJ both in the eastern conference shame we will never know
sad vid but one funny thing is they are talking about Robert Parish getting old,Robert the ''great chief'' Parish would play until 1997,thnaks guys if you want to knowe any other cool NBA facts feel free to ask.
The 87 Lakers would have had no chance against the Celtics with Bias, Walton, Wedman and Schting coming off the bench for The Big 3, Ainge and DJ....such a sad story
What a loss to the Celtics franchise. Bias would have added that extra spark that would have lead the Celtics to total domination in the 1980's. Such a sad story...RIP Len Bias and RIP Dennis Johnson...
