  • He could be second MJ. Rest in peace.

  • if he was in da nba ya wuldnt even compare him to kobe, jordan, lebron, magic, shaq, all of those ppl he probably wuld broken da karem abdul jabbar record of points im tellin ya he was goin to be da BEST NBA PLAYER IN DA WORLD THUMBS IF YU AGREE!!

  • @KingKhadim no idea what you are talking about. zzzzzzz

  • Comment removed

  • @KingKhadim stats are meaningless in college. Jordan was in a system that had lots of scorers. Jordan the greatest ever. Bias would have been a decent player but to say break Kareem's record just means you are clueless.

  • Jordan left the nba yh Len did a sum dumb stuff yh was goin to be a bench player for a least 1 year. but the stats shows jordans career shows it

  • @KingKhadim you can't even form a legible sentence. Stop yh? but the stats shows jordans career shows it? Ask anyone in the world with knowledge of the NBA, Bias would have been a great player but shit no one has come close to breaking Kareems record. Durant Lebron will challenge it since they had 1 and no college respectively. Kareem had 3 years in college. Kobe has a chance if he stays healthy. Jordan would have had a chance if he didnt retire twice.

  • Easy to call him a bust because of the outcome. But if you analyze his talent level, he could have made a.good transition into the nba. He probably would have played at small forward not 4. His mid range game was excellent. He needed to get his ball handling skills up, and his passing. I think he could have dobe both because say what you want, he really applied himself in basketball.

  • @QuebolaQuebolin yeah i doubt he would have been a bust either, cause he would have been playing with parish, bird, and mchale to help him become a great player in the nba.

  • wow just looking at this ... there talking about him and how hes gonna fit it with the team and making jokes with him just a horrible sad story

  • who was picked 1st that year?

  • @THXcooper Brad Daugherty

  • I had to respond to a couple things here. First, I believe Len Bias was good friends with Chris Washburn, not Brad Daugherty. In hindsight, that was a BAD sign for his future if he lived. They were sitting next to each other at this draft. Also Jeff Green attended the same high school(Northwestern) as L.Bias. After L.Bias died, it was discovered that he only had about 2 years of credits completed despite being at Maryland for 4 years. It caused UMD to put in strict academic policies for athletes

  • i wish this had happened to LeBron. then he wouldnt have wasted 7 years of my life.

  • You Can't call this guy a bust.... its so sad what happened to him, also if you listen to an interview with his best friend Brad Daughtrey, he said that Len Bias wouldn't even drink beer as a senior in college, R.I.P Len Bias

  • @TheWebster26 He is a bust. This isn't someone who didn't get a shot because of injuries. He didn't get a shot because of his own decisions. He was a failure of epic proportions.

  • @travellinman321 don't call him a bust.

  • lmao the 1986 draft was gay... top 3 picks, 2 were failures because of drug habits

  • what a dummy

  • I'm confident to this day bird and them would have had at least 5 rings.

  • and now Jeff Green era begins! I smell a title this year

  • major hit to a franchise

  • You guys were high on Bias, too bad Bias was high on something else.

  • Damn man...imagine what Boston might have been with this guy.

  • terrible draft

  • Damn i just found iut he went to my high school that i go to now

    R.I.P Len bias

  • talent, athleticism, but he hasn't the true "heart of a champion"... and also the brain.... sad for him

  • they made a trade for him ...

  • Wait wait hold up...I just realized something. Len Bias was selected 2ND IN THE DRAFT RIGHT AFTER THE CELTICS WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP???

  • @Marakulous43 Ridiculous huh? Probably one of the 3 greatest NBA teams ever assembled wins the title in a walk with a 50-1 home record...and they get Len Bias the next year. Who knows what they would have accomplished and how many years he would have added to Bird and McHale's careers...let alone titles. Crazy.

  • It's sad watching this because of bias death on drugs few days after the draft. Bias death and Reggie Lewis passing are the darkest moments for the Celtics franchise.

  • the drugs would probably doomed his career and the celtics for sure, God makes no mistakes

  • if he had survived that night, would he really had made that differences? Pr

  • What a total DUMBASS for doing drugs in the first place... >: |

  • Amazing. They said Robert Parish was "getting old" and yet he played for another 10 years after this.

  • THEY GOT THE PICK BECUASE THEY TRADED UP FOR LEN FOR 3 YEARS. DANN AIGNE IS A MASTERMIND. AND COKE FUCKED HIS PLAN UP

  • @mikeo4283 What did Danny Ainge have to do with this pick?

  • Let me ask this, how the fuck the Celtics with Bird, McHale, Parish, DJ, got the #2 pick overall??????

  • @chaquetasenlacaja They traded Gerald Henderson and cash to the Seattle Supersonics for the pick back in October '84. Red Auerbach went on record saying the Celtics had planned on drafting Bias for close to 3 years before the draft.

  • @kingdomoftheworm Ahhh.... thanks.

  • how did the world championship boston celtics get such a high pick in the 86 draft? i always thought the highest draft picks always went to the crappiest teams?

  • this shit is sad

  • knowing this guy died a couple days later makes it hard to watch this video

  • If Lenny had lived....the Pistons would never seen the Finals during the Bad Boy era. The Lakers would have never won another title after '85. The Bulls would have had 3 less titles. Imagine it, Bird could have played 25 minutes a game and rested his back. No one knows what might have been, but it would have been incredible.

  • @RedCeltYank1 Wow you are right on with that..

  • @RedCeltYank1 I agree with 1987 but 1 guy was not gonna be enough to take out the Bad Boys and certainly not the Bulls. Hell who knows he could have been like Joe Smith. lol

  • Watching this man right now...knowing what's in store after is very sadd

  • R.I.P len bias but guys, if this guy did cocaine how good do you honestly think he would have been?

  • @coola426 coke makes u high, high = alert and hyper, high on bball court = monsterous R.I.P Len

  • he wont get any playin time atall

  • this is sad....man he was good

  • Glenn Big Dog Robinson, he reminds me of

  • I would have loved to have seen Len Bias, on the Celtics, guard Magic Johnson. In 1991, Pippen kind of held Magic in check. Bias, i believe would have done the same. Such a shame. He would have done a lot of the dirty work on those celtic teams and allowed someone like Bird to just worry about shooting. Coack K from duke says the 2 best players he ever saw were Jordan and Bias. What could have been.

  • @tompapagiannis Pippen held him in check, for one game. Lets not kid ourselves on that. Lakers didn't stand a chance cause they had Worthy and Scott injured and Bulls were a great team ready to win.

Bias would've made the Celtics favourites to win the title for the next 3-4 yrs, easy. That team was crazy good, just needed some help so older guys wouldn't have to play such big minutes. Unfortunately things didn't work out that way.

  • RIP. great player.

  • who was drafted 1st overall in this draft...?

  • brad daugherty

  • drugs abound in ths draft

  • what draft this was

with the 2nd pick in the draft the celtics

select LEN the DEAD COKE HEAD Bias

out of maryland.I like how rick asked him what he wanted to improve on (his line rolling skills LOL)

With the 3rd pick in the 1986 nba draft the golden state warriors select(Chirs the DOPE HEAD Washburn) all kinds of talent for the BLOW none for the SHOW and no get up and go!!!!!!! LOL

With the 6th pick the pistons select Wil I cant get out of BEDfor durgs bedford.roy tarpleys 2 mill drink?

  • BITCH stfu u on some hating shit got no respect u aint funny nethier dumeass cause you laughed at your own jokes .Len bias is the best college player ever and u deal with that shit because that shit aint gonna change

  • Imagine a team of Mchale, Bird, Parish, Lewis and Bias. The bad boy pistons and maybe MJs bulls would be ringless.

  • Bird, Michale, Parrish were all on the downside of their careers about time the early 90's came. The would have still had Lewis(if were still living)and Bias who would have been talented but still would need more than that. So maybe the pistons wouldn't have got a ring but the bulls would pretty sure get those six rings

  • Just imagine if both Len Bias AND Reggie Lewis were still living and played together...

  • I was too young to know back then but it's really a shame that he had to die like that. RIP

  • I thought when the announcement was made at school that it had to be a joke, That he couldn't be gone.

  • This entire draft was bust! unbelieveable how many amazing athletes and big men were in this draft that just did not pan out.. unreal

  • Yeah, the 1986 draft was notorious in that sense. So many busts - Kenny Walker, William Bedford, Chris Washburn, Pearl Washington, etc.

  • I don't like to shoulda woulda coulda but had Len survived I believe there is no question he would have ended up being a hall of famer. RIP

  • @Soniaspapa i dnt know i think the coke would had been a factor

  • Len Bias was suppose to ease the transition with the transition of Larry Bird who played longer than he thought he would if Bias had lived imagine him and MJ both in the eastern conference shame we will never know

  • sad vid but one funny thing is they are talking about Robert Parish getting old,Robert the ''great chief'' Parish would play until 1997,thnaks guys if you want to knowe any other cool NBA facts feel free to ask.

  • Yeah and won a ring with MJ in Chicago too.

  • and did boston get any consolation for this?

  • how did boston get the 2nd pick?

  • they traded gerald henderson and some cash to the sonics in april before the draft

  • red said it this guy is gonne play know

  • Thanks for posting this...I remember this tragedy like it was yesterday.

  • All that talent and then wastes it by using drugs. Good lesson for young players on what not to do...

  • wow he said high on bias

  • man.....what a tragedy!! i think this kid would of took the nba by storm. rip

  • The 87 Lakers would have had no chance against the Celtics with Bias, Walton, Wedman and Schting coming off the bench for The Big 3, Ainge and DJ....such a sad story

  • What a loss to the Celtics franchise. Bias would have added that extra spark that would have lead the Celtics to total domination in the 1980's. Such a sad story...RIP Len Bias and RIP Dennis Johnson...

  • @dannyaingefan in the 80's and 90's.

  • Wow. Such an amazing and sad story. I was a little too young at the time to understand. Thanks for posting
