  • @OmfGazz I agree but people should'nt put it as irish people in General.. it should be targeted to individuals instead.

  • im a protestand from n.ireland and i love this song. the dubliners are great.

  • Everyone knows that Celtic ancestors were not racists but believed in keeping your heritage alive no different than any other group of people.

  • @NC910Killa agree with ya there, its hard to preserve a native lands culture nowadays, multiculturalism is partly to blame for that, not saying mutli culturalism is a bad thing, but the hypersensitive public educators tend to take it a bit far, and they teach that if you arent accepting and "understanding" of others culture your a "racist" no better than a KKK member, multiculturalism is kind of a double edge sword of sorts

  • @NC910Killa i try to respect other cultures and all that, but its really hard sometimes to stay open minded when school educators are promoting multiculturalism, and not promoting love of country, and culture, is madness

  • @thomas242007 Other cultures are fine but I agree having different cultures promoted is stupid because we should promote ALL cultures and respect all cultures. Here in the US it's like they are demonizing anyone who is white for something that happened 300 years ago and it's stupid. People who know history knows that all cultures of people were treated like shit at some point but people who are racists themselves ignore that and spit on some of my heritage it makes me sick.

  • The Wild Rover - oh yeah! great cover! :D

check out the version from the band "no mails", i think its very funny, if you like... : stay heavy and have fun! :D

  • @Roithepro i love music like this too but manly i lison to ac/dc if u know who they are !!!!!!

  • @throttlejockey77 Seriously? "Fuck your dad and lick his dick"? "Fucking your grandad"? You're really both as immature as each other, and needless swearing is hardly the way to go about anything. If a loved one is dead, acting like a necrophiliac isn't the smartest of ideas. So both of you, do yourselves a favour and carry on with your own lives. Jesus.

  • @soldierdec sorry everyone thats my stupid brother (Soldierdec) acting like a tit

  • @TardisTeen Im a tit? I tried to help you, but fine screw you. throttlejockey77? Bully him all you want, not getting involved any more :)

  • @soldierdec Good

  • @TardisTeen oh iwas going to say up his!!! well lol then

  • Comment removed

  • @throttlejockey77 Wow man, thats really fucked up. If all you do is comment on having sex with people's dead grandads that are missed, you're really wrong in the head. So how about you leave me and my grandad be and carry on with your own miserable life, k? Thanks...twat.

  • @throttlejockey77 I'm the brother of this Jamie, and I'm honestly really sorry for his cuntish behaviour. I really dunno why he trys to insult someone (terribly, might I add) when they're kinda right. The songs varied from Scotland to Ireland to Austraila to USA etc. Celtic fans sing it, but its also in Irish pubs. "Pubic hair eater" lmfao

  • @throttlejockey77 ooooooooooohh I'm scared look it up you thick scottsman

  • @welshperson123,

Pretty much, although I can understand the words sung by the Dubliners.

  • God bless Ireland & Scotland.

  • @Afereth, on me fathers side I'm a Clarke and if you knew how things were in the states you'd not fault him for misplacing that "e". 8^) and just to make a right muddle of it all I've campbell (yeah THEM) and hazard on mothers side of the family bush (too many branches to be a tree you see) Life's a crock and then your whiskey runs out!

Grand parents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, young and old everyone having a great time. It just doesn't get any better than this. Happy St. Patrick's Day. The luck of the Irish.

  • HAPPY ST.PATRICK DAY TO ALL!!!!!!

  • @klejscman happy ST Patricks day to you too one year later :D

  • A good ole drinkers song.....Sounds 20 times better in a pub full of pissed up people singing along..!!!!

  • Great song!

  • its a good song but it doesnt remind me of anything, i do like to sing it in snowball fights. thanks for posting this.

  • In Germany there's a cover of this song called "An der Nordseeküste" by "Klaus & Klaus" :)

  • @chemiealex: ja und das ist richtig geil =)

But I also like the original... just like a good drinking song is supposed to be xD

  • My Grandad used to sing this to me when I was little and today is 5 years since he died.

    John Anthony Hallam

    Died 16/2/2005

    Always missed and never forgotten.

    RIP x

  • @ElephantfromHell Seriously, thanks for sharing the memories. I was born in southern USA, but my grandfather sang this and Fields of Athenry to me when I was young, and I completely plan on doing it myself one day.

    R.I.P

    Chris O,reily

  • my grandmothers name was duffy im part irish

    cant deny that

    its in my blood

  • phony irish just becuase there grandads immigrated to america. you must be the skin heads of ireland

  • im from the capital of Ireland (Liverpool) most people probably wont understand that, my family is Irish, this song reminds me of my granddad.

  • I love this song. Is it not singed by the English football audience? Shame that Ireland did not come to world cup 2010!....

  • @SweetDreamsMyAngel what part of ireland do u go 2 ?

  • @SweetDreamsMyAngel Ye ho ye boy ye!! (Or girl)!! Gwan da Irish!

  • @SweetDreamsMyAngel,

I couldn't agree with you more!

Although I'm not 100% of Irish descent, most of my ancestors came from Ireland during the 19th century (yes, I have birth certificates et al documents as proof). I was brought up in a poor traditional Irish household here in the Boston area of Massachusetts.

Many people have pointed out the fact that I'm Irish, just upon first meeting me and not knowing my family history. I look like a mick.

So, I would say definitely say I am Irish.

  • @molech1978

    ur not though your american!!

  • @SweetDreamsMyAngel some ppl think newfoundlanders are more irish then the irish themselves, listen to newfoundland music its alot alike.. and i dont mean great big sea.. they suck

  • @SweetDreamsMyAngel Screw the Irish if they don't want you as a part of their fraternity. You're a Canadian, not a PIIG. You're not cursed to be a rovin gypsy for eternity. Don't meet too many Canadian refugees. And this song is Australian, but I bet the Irish got no problem claiming it as their own.

  • @dong2phat4u You know many Irish were exiled to Australia by British Empire after the States broke away. And I doubt this song is Australian.

  • @dong2phat4u ACTUALLY, IT WAS WRITTEN BY IRISH PRISONERS SENT TO AUSTRALIA.

Also, a large portion of australia's population are of irish descent, get your facts right; dumbass.

  • @kognitox The Wild Rover (Roud 1173) is a popular folk song whose origins are contested.

  • search this... Tyr- wild rover

awesome cover ( tyr is a viking metal band i thinkz)

  • sorry to interrupt, but who sings that song?

    dubliners?

  • Its Jesus. Jesus sings this song, and the real name of the song is 'you're a sinner'.

  • and I thought I was jesus...must've had a mental blank after I sung that.

  • yes

  • *Parade I meant

  • It's very beautiful... Love it.... and I'm Italian... XD

  • In New Orleans they have the Italian Irish Festival. That celebrates both heritages. :)

  • e non sei l'unico italiano innamorato di questa conzone e del folk irlandese!
